  1. Haven't had trouble with the stainless trim strip. Have more trouble with hot feet from the decadance.....so I just take it out in the heat of the season.
  2. When you spend more money on boat gas, truck gas, trailer tires, bottled water, new gear, annual ski purchase, gel coat patch kits, Advil, bandaids, ace bandages, ortho sports doctors, chiropractors, gym memberships .... than on your groceries, mortgage and kids birthdays....you're a real skier.
  3. Agree with @thager...no such thing. I was in pursuit of exactly what you describe. My first attempt was CC sport 216 with the TSC hull and second attempt was CC sport 200. I believe either of these are about as good as you can get in crossover capability. But in my case, I'm just a slalom skier...always have been and so instead of trying to do it all, went back to our roots....the new ProStar. Our family couldn't be happier and we are all skiing better than ever.
  4. @joel_fuel_sndr_mfr I'm also impressed with your willingness to engage the end user / customer rather than work through MC, your customer. It's pretty brave dude. However, shouldn't MC be doing some fundamental requirements adjustments....might lead them to a different technology? So this is more a question directed right back to MC.....Theoretically, why not remove the variable / unknown that the type of fluid (ethenol levels in gas for example) has on sender capacitance....that also requires signal conditioning and s/w? Why not use two basic, inexpensive but reliable resistive tube senders, one each side of tank and average them at the ECM with some dampening?
  5. Static windshield mount in wide mode should work great.
  6. Forgot to mention...in static mounting from pylon, wide mode will capture longer line lengths ball to ball. Don't think it would get it done at 28' off and shorter. Session $150, orbit mount $135, accessories $20
  7. Just got hero session to put on my ski doc orbit. It's a good set up. The session is a wifi go pro that does everything you need it to do...with adjustments available to aspect ratio and recording mode (1080p vid, stills, burst, etc...) You can also down load go pro apps to run the camera from your smart phone then download to your phone and edit.
  8. I just skied behind a buddies new Malibu 22MXZ wake / surf machine.....just to see how it was. I played with rope lengths and speed. Not sure quite how to describe the experience, but it made me surrender to flat foot skiing and will never do it again. +1 for Replace the Boat.
  9. +1 on the orbit. I've had it a year now and provided feedback to ski doc on vibration dampening...especially if trying to use iPhone. Am anxious to see their solution. Also had to tune the rotating clamp a bit to make it smoother, but other than that... great mount.
  10. @JeffSwain that is awesome. We have a lil monster still around somewhere along with some other goodies. You've inspired me to dig it out and throw it in the boat for a trip down memory lane.
  11. Others have said it...and I'll pile on. Lots of aides out there, but there's really no substitute for experience. Years of knowing your hitch ball location at the back of your vehicle and just knowing where the trailer tongue is. If on concrete or other hard surface, get the ball within 8" of the front of the tongue and +/- 4" of centerline... then role the trailer over the ball and drop it. If you can't roll the trailer, just keep backing till ball within 4" radius... then you should be close enough to waggle it on.
  12. @escmanaze .... 28mph 15' off (in turn but you get the idea)
  13. @sunvalleylaw .... agree with @swc5150 ...super sexy colors. Interior pic?
  14. Falls Lake just north of Raleigh. Monsoon rains this spring forcing launch from the parking lot...but normal winds for this time of year here.
  15. Caterpillar branded zip ties P/N 7K-1181 will last forever in any conditions...can buy at your local CAT parts store (or online)
  16. @LoopSki yah I learned the hard way....spent a wad of money for some nice domed numbers and tried locating them in the silver panel. Looked horrible...so went with standard vinyl and even though they roll over, it's the best location IMHO.
  17. @swc5150 and @Roger ... wife's, daughter's speeds are 28 and said the exact same things coming off our other brand. My life has been so much easier.
  18. @Texas6 ... yah love my dealer!!! If you plan to do same, pretty simple job...but there is a method. Most important is removing driver's seat so you don't have to stand on your head. On root cause...no idea and MC did not share. To be honest, I'm not convinced mine is actually display related.
  19. @Texas6...I pulled the display, sent it to dealer and dealer sent on to MC. MC sent dealer a new display to forward on to me...after they did analysis. I did the reinstall. I'm 850 miles from my dealer I like to work with. I could have had a more local dealer do the work but just wanted to stick with my guy. Also, my dealer said he would pull a new display out of an inventory boat to keep me going. I didn't need to to this because we aren't running yet.
  20. Same issue with my '14. Zero off would toggle in and out and would then flip to the keyboard screen. Sometimes it would flip to the Accessory screen and then lock up. Recycling the disconnect switch would fix it half the time. Checked all connectors, did the wiggle test on the DT connectors rear of the display. All independent of speed, condition, moisture or ambient temperature. Also it was very intermittent. I was finally able to capture a couple videos. Dealer and MC replaced it. I just put it in and am anxious to see if my issue is fixed.
  21. And how does the CX or CX Superlight fit into that comparison?
  22. Crawling around, in and on an f-body winter rebuild will keep you limber, calloused and mentally strong!!!!
  23. @John Brooks orbit has a standard tripod mount ¼-20 screw. So you can mount any camera, camcorder. Also comes with phone clamp, however I've not had very good video quality with iPhone 5s or 6s+ due to engine vibration up through the pylon. This is not the fault of the mount, rather iPhone stabilization s/w.
