  1. I love the Idea and I would love to have one. The thing that deters me is the price.
  2. @Andre I think thats how it release I couldn't find any info on it.
  3. @BraceMaker I forgot about Wiley's for a RTP, Thanks I was look at the FM binding because these one are about $250 vs the Reflex is more around $500.
  4. I have a problem I like to get a new ski every few years or more. Every time I get one, I some how find a killer deal on a blank. Then I'm stuck trying to find bindings. I was thinking the hardshell bindings would be part of the solution to my problem. I do ski with a RTP so I would have to find one that fits different skis. I have HO freemax bindings and Connelly talon bindings. I don't have access to a fancy ski lake with a course so I mainly ski at 32mph and 15 off. Should I buy them or not?
  5. Cool thanks guys for the info. On a good note I was wrong on how I had my buidings set. I guess I moved them back to the factory spot and for got. I won't ever do that again. It looks like I should do some research online and come back with questions.
  6. Hi all, It been awhile since I've posted on here. Heck, I have only skied 3 times this year, wether sucks! I have been wondering what the proper way to set up a ski. I have always set my binding 2 holes forward. My thought process on this was I ski heavy on my back foot. I don't think it really does anything, but I at least think about not skiing so heavy on my back foot. The wing and fin I have never really missed with. I might have moved the wing for some odd reason, but with no real thought process. I'm really curious on to set it up the right way.
  7. No its more of a t shape. It looks like this one. I can get a diameter measurement tomorrow.
  8. I want to mount a camera on my boat, but I don't know what to get or what is out there. I have seen a few of them, but they don't look like they will work on the 81. Any Ideas?
  9. Are boat cleaners at the shop use totally Awesome Cleaner and Black Streak Remover. The seats on the boats we sell get destroyed by 303, but they are a cheep fabric. I have also seen them power wash boat covers.
  10. I think they need to put a sign up on lakes with ski courses saying what the random buoys are and why they are there. Last week end we where free skiing and there was 20 fishing boats in the ski course. I also find it annoying that sence I'm skiing I get pulled over every time the boat cop is on the lake he even will stop at are dock when we are done. A few years ago he tried to tell my dad you can't go skiing because people are fishing. You would think sence we pay to play for are sport that they would encourage lakes to have a course.
  11. My Dad still skis on his EP Stilleto. He claims its the best ski ever made, even after he wrecked and bindings came off for the second or third time. He took some big screws on it to hold his bindings on.
  12. Its a pain in the butt here in MI on a public lake to set up a ski course. Are course is right next to the party cove and it makes it hard to fine the course. It also is on the ruff side of the lake. I have a question for @MISkier am I aloud to set up the course on my 14ft jon boat? I have seen some privet lakes where they can leave the course in here in MI. It's kind of funny how I always get pulled over in the ski boat, but not one time in my fishing boat.
  13. I had that happen to a neighbor before, but he bought the boat and it was sitting for years. My dad stoped by and got it running for him in 5 minutes then he decided it was time to go skiing. My neighbor could never get the boat running right.
  14. I could drill the hole wider and make if fit. The last time I switched skis I also switched bindings. It was a world of difference from the rubber bindings to what ever the one on my HO I have now. I appreciate the advice. I was kind of thinking I could have two skis set up.
  15. So I bought a Connlley carbon V and now I need to buy bindings. I tryed to put my HO sports basis off my CX on it and they would not fit. What options do I have for bindings? I like a rear toe plate.
  16. There is a course on lake Ivanhoe and lake Conway, but there both in Orlando.
  17. I think the problem is a lack of common sence or just inconsiderate. To add to more of why I'm tired of the fishermen on my lake. My buddy borrowed my jon boat today and he said when he was driving out of the channel a guy casted a line in front of him and the guy yeld at him to go around. The channel is so small and shallow, my ski boat doesn't fit in it. This year I won't be able to do any early morning skiing, but it seems on week days there are a few less idiots out at night then in the morning. I would love to go on a private lake, I had the opportunity to go on one a few times when I lived in FL it was a world of difference. The closest private lake with a ski course is around 1.5hr or farther. The lake is locked up like Fort Knox they have a gate and a guard.
  18. I was going to post something about my new ski, but I have had it. I went skiing for the first time last week and it has already started. The fishermen on my lake are driving me nuts they are so rude and have no common sense. They are like a pack of bees when they see us skiing and drive over to that side of the lake and sit in are way. I don't get it!!!!!! Why do they all want to fish next to each other? I had one guy tell me when, I was sailing I nee to go around him the other way as he sits there with his remote controled trolling motor setting a course in my path. How could he not see me my mast is 20ft tall? The worst part is the boat cop on are lake has tryed to wright us a ticket for skiing when people are fishing. I have no idea what to do.
  19. Why do you want an alternator? Is there any thing going on with your charging system? My 81 has the original alternator on it and it works fine. To change the water pump you have to take the belt off the engine. I found this link on how to replace the water pump hope it helps. http://www.smwebhead.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=7491
  20. You have to fix it! For liability reasons you need to fix it. Also if you have a shop do any work on your boat and they see your kill switch is bypassed and or doesn't work. They will have to fix it and will charge you to fix it.
  21. Mine is when ever the lake is smooth as glass.
  22. I'm not a expert or any thing, but I learned how to ski on my dads EP Stiletto when I was 13 or 14 and then I bought a 1990s HO. Then I bought a HO CX in 2014 and that made a world of difference. I'm 20 years old. On a big wake boat you just have to find what works for you.
  23. What I was trying to start with this topic was a place that we could put advice and info for people who are trying to start course skiing. Cause 2 years ago when I was starting I found it hard to find this info and thought this might help some one. I know in my situation I had to start at a speed that was faster then most people and it made it a lot harder.
