  1. Was yesterday the day for Winnipesaukee? Big news on WMUR.
  2. Got the boat out of storage and skied Pleasant today. Glass, with all the ice drifted to one end. Water is 45. Not bad at all with the O'Neil Fluid Neo. Air was 64, so no brain freeze. @jercrane come on over!
  3. @jercrane great looking boat! Still some good sized snow piles in the yard.
  4. Where in NH are you? Cold tomorrow, but 60's after that. I'm being optimistic, and thinking the ice will break up by next Monday ;). Itching to break out the drysuit!
  5. I just picked up an O'neill Fluid Neo last fall (in NH as well). Worked great the one time I was able to get out in November. Looking forward to the ice melting to give it a few more tries.
  6. Visiting my oldest daughter in Italy was a good excuse to stop by Jolly Ski and make some early season turns (ice in NH is still pretty thick). Very nice of them to put up with a total hack like myself. Great coaches and facility.
  7. Not sure if this is okay to ask in this thread, but what are the downsides to using a guard? I never see any in photos or videos of skiers.
  8. Where can you get the Denali CG fin for $150?
  9. Beautiful boat! Nice to have the racks on both sides.
  10. @schafer I'm definitely interested in more information! My family and I stay at the Vidanta resort, almost across the highway from the Aquatic Center.
  11. Where is that 450 hp coming from? Under the specs it says 400 hp/400 ft lb.
  12. Looks awesome! Hopefully they come out with a side rack option. Is the bimini from the Instagram post missing a support?
  13. Rain finally stopped. Now it's sunny with 17 mph winds and white caps. So frustrating :# . Itching to use the new dry-suit again.
  14. I just got one last week. Used it once with thin base layer in ~45 degree water (and 49 degree air). Spent several minutes sitting in the water without feeling cold. Bottom fits like a normal wetsuit. Top is baggy enough to fit some heavier layers underneath. No idea how you can zip and unzip without help. That thing is burly! I wouldn't think you could fit your everyday comp vest over it. I wore a O'Neil Assault vest over it with no problems. So much flotation, getting up out of the water felt strange. After skiing, my lower half was totally dry. I did have some dampness around my upper chest though. Water must have been sneaking in around my neck. Hopefully getting back out tomorrow to try it again. (edit to add that I'm 5'-11", 190 lbs, and went with the XL. According to the size chart, I could squeeze into a L, but glad I didn't go with that)
  15. Picked up an O'neill Fluid Neo drysuit this morning. Air 49 and water 44. First trip down the lake was glass, but then the rain came in and made things a bit more interesting.
  16. At 22 off/34 mph, I don't notice a difference between my '03 LXi and my buddie's '17 Prostar. He doesn't either (of course he could be lying). He had a mid 90's Nautique before. The wake on that was pretty rough by comparison (similar to the '95 Response I used to have). However, crossing the wake on edge totally smoothed it out. Tried a couple runs behind another friend's 2013 Response TXi. I'm not one to complain, but given the choice, I will stick with the other two options ;).
  17. Make sure you stick a screwdriver up into the hole the knock sensor came out of (and the hole on the opposite side of the block). Rust fragments can block them up, making you think the water is drained, when it actually isn't.
  18. 39 degrees this morning. Brrrrrr.
  19. @DangerBoy - skied it yesterday morning. 42 degrees, so we didn't stay out long. I'm not good enough to explain why, but I like it so far. Easy transition from the Vapor I was skiing previously. I can say that the VMax bindings are sweet. Super comfortable, and much less bulky than the '15 Profiles I have been using.
  20. @Woody74 pretty sure those washers go under the front screws. For reference, front Radar bindings come with 6 of those same screws, and 6 washers to go with them.
