  1. I agree with Jordan and BSBELL and DW I am a heavier skier and for me as I am getting up I stay tucked longer than most to the point that I can feel the tail of the ski on my butt. This technique also helps me with different drivers and some that might just "hit it" This can crush bigger skiers Driver technique is critical for bigger skiers. We need to go slow and progressive on the out. This is counterintuitive. "big guy, go hard" NO!
  2. When asked by my dealer when we are ready for our next new boat I told him "When they offer a heated steering wheel and self driving with inputs via GPS + a Vision system". I love course skiing but I started so late in life and will never go to a tournament. That doesn't mean I don't have goals and aspire to get better. I want to eliminate as many variables possible. My wife is a great driver and always available but most of the times I ski with buddies on the lake. When I train with my wife as a driver I am nervous about running up into my more challenging passes. This solution doesn't solve everything for me but it is exciting to see progress and innovation to address this problem. I am all in and will pay for it integrated from the OEs
  3. @MitchellM Pontoon all the way Deployment solo Removal with a driver
  4. We have to remove ours from the lake daily so we get lots of practice each season. I can deploy it on my own with favorable winds in about 15-20 minutes and we usually use 2 or 3 people to take it out fast. We did it from the ski boat once and never again. So much better with more room and not having to worry about being so careful not to wreck the ski boat.
  5. @swc5150 isn't this the Marker MRR from the 90's snow slalom skis?
  6. This turned out great for me. I was nervous to hit the course out of the gate so I free skied with it and was thinking this is not going to work out. Decided the next day that I needed to get in the course and try it before I make the final call. In the course it was great and I thank Bill for the advice. For those looking for mods Bill has some he will share with you. He sent me some pics of cut/trimmed over wraps to loosen up the binding.

    Old faithfull

That is awesome. A testament to the quality of these boats. I would ski and drive that boat any day. All the creature comforts and performance I paid for on my 2016 didn't increase the fun factor of my skiing.
  8. Love this one. Shared with my ski partner that is always working/thinking about 1% stuff
  9. @Mastercrafter - @dave2ball The only complaint I had about the R-style was that I would wear out that booty so fast and I got sick of buying them. I tried to use an Intuition cut down but not luck. You got me thinking though. Thanks for all the replies - I will try and if it doesn't work out Bill said I can send it back
  10. Hi BOS Team - I switched to the Radar HRT BOA in season 2021 from the Reflex R-style. I liked the Radar system but continue to have issue with the BOA system. On my 21 the lace eyelets pulled out from the outer and inner layers so I ordered a whole new HRT boot this season. Last week I had the laces break on the new boot and called up Bill at Performance Ski and Surf for a more reliable option going forward. He recommended I try Wiley's. Anything I need to know? Concerns, etc. I have a Radar Senate Pro, Reflex Front and get up with both feet in. I should also mention the Radar team stands behind the product and is sending me new laces at no charge.
  11. What kind of boat are you using? Have you tried switching drivers?
  12. @Nicole and group The seats for the 14-20 are not a simple design and have billet machined frames. Not easily reproduced by a 3rd party. I haven't examined them closely but new 21 and up seats look to be "frameless" and just sit on the floor. Might want to look at them and then have a vinyl shop match your interior.
  13. Love this episode. I am going through issues here now and hearing you guys speak to it is sooooo helpful. Thank you!
  14. Found a brand new in box one at a marine dealer in SLC Utah - a 2022
  15. Hi - I am on a 2019 and looking for something newer. My skiing isn't good enough to justify a brand new one. Thanks for the help.
  16. I wish the boss would let me have 2 ski boats. I have been a MasterCraft guy all my life but have a wondering eye for the SN 196.
  17. Great looking boat. One of my favorite hulls. I had a 1995 with an LT1
  18. I found a shipping cover and wrap my boat in it on the lift. I cut the hole out so the boat can get air and fit over the tower and bimini. Same cover has worked for 6+ summers
  19. Great luck with this battery and is the same our dealer puts in all new boats. I got 6 seasons and probably could have gone more but the cranking was reduced. https://www.interstatebatteries.com/products/24m-xhd Interstate 24M-XHD
  20. Correct. It is has been a long winter. The fins only
  21. Glad they are back for another season. Thank You!
  22. @Wiltok The above will work but there is a risk of bumping the tracking fins if your lift isn't down far enough and the boat slide too far. These measurements match the key points of the 4 bunk trailer. Maybe I worry too much. My boat is 2016
  23. @swc5150 Not likely to find a new boat for under 100k these days. Congrats on the Corvette and the great deal. I am actually really impressed by the team at GM on the C8. They must have really worked their butts off on voice of customer and value engineering to deliver an outstanding product at a relatively great value.
