  1. I made the shift last season from a Reflex hybrid because I hated the booty and the clamping system on reflex. I really like this Radar hybrid
  2. @Reider My ski I have for sale. Around Minneapolis area. 2016 Radar Vapor Graphite Waterski 69" https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ank/spo/d/2016-radar-vapor-graphite-waterski-69/7319366028.html
  3. @scoke Well I am a self taught course skier and started this craziness about 6 years ago. I never have or plan to ski in a tournament. I just have fun skiing with the group on our lake. We have a couple of insta-slalom courses we drop in. PB for me so far is 2 @ 32 off -34mph, not impressive for this group for sure but it took me about 1.5 seasons to get a full pass @ 30mph 15 off back in the earlier days LOL. Other sports - tennis, alpine skiing, golf, CrossFit, hunting (yes it is sport), motocross/eduro bikes, mountain bikes, snowmobiling, etc. I like all things outdoors. Thanks for asking.
  4. Can you measure your trailer bunks front and back? These older boats are easier versus the newer hulls with strange bottom shapes.
  5. Good topic. I love skiing but I know my physical size is not helping me just for the plain fact that I don’t believe course skis are designed for 6-1 215lbs. I train hard off the water and eat clean my whole life and my average ski weight each season is about 215. This was my weight at age 18 - 46 now. I did notice a consistency difference switching from the Pro Vapor to a Pro Senate last season. My body fat % is around 10% so any additional weight is going to come from muscle and at my age I am not willing to go that far. I do many other things other than skiing. So I agree, in dynamic sports being lighter is always better. Performance and stress. The engineer in me knows this but I am not going to give up my muscle mass for just one fun activity in my life.
  6. From the cabin cam this morning in NW Wisconsin.
  7. @Lars nice job. Can’t believe how fast the ice went out this March. Remind me of where you ski? We are in Balsam Lake WI
  8. @swc5150 congrats man. Pics please!
  9. How does the MTS work? Is there measuring of the level of the boat and then fill to even distribution? I opted out when we ordered our last boat because I didn't understand how it worked.
  10. @Barfot that is the main reason we ordered our boat with the 6.2. Footing. The problem is after you drive these boats with the 6.2 it will be hard to ever drive one with the 5.7
  11. @nblasi hugh - I am almost certain my 2016 does not. Maybe I missed something all this time but even when my dealer delivered it brand new he mentioned that as a big miss by MasterCraft.
  12. Nice boat. Congrats! Do you still have to collapse the tower to open the bimini?
  13. @Cooper_Trelawney Can you itemize all the other costs? Association fees, tax, etc... per month? Also the rules please. Most of the time this has killed my enthusiasm to invest.
  14. Hey. I kind of like the color scheme. Never seen one like it. Congrats.
  15. Great skiing. I tend to fall at the centerline sometimes and it hurts the ribs. Curious @o2bnMaine what are you using the film these sets? Is it a gyro? Cool shots
  16. Water management as suggested above. Make sure people have towels. That floor piece is a common part to wear out. On the cheap people replace with marine plywood. The OEM material is a honeycomb aluminum that is sold in sheets. Expensive but strong, light, and as it was made from the factory. Some good dealers have sources for the aluminum floor material.
  17. @skierjp Oh man. That image struck some fear. Ouch
  18. Man that sucks. I hope everything goes smooth on the surgery and rehab. I had a big tip grab on a turn a week ago but thankfully my reflex binding released. I got to admit I flinched-scary @BraceMaker what is the MOB squad?
  19. To me it look like an anti rotation part for a large hex nut. I wish I was near my boat to help you. It looks like it is meant to be slid in and clips to a holder. The knurled ends makes it looks like it could be pinched to slide it off. Maybe look near the drive shaft?
  20. Weight is a another benefit of the 6.2. At the time of my purchase it was listed at 125lbs less versus the cast iron 6.0. This was another factor in my decision.
  21. I would need to try the 6.0 before buying. We have a 6.2 now at roughly sea level in WI and love it so much. So much fun to drive, animal. I mostly course ski but also like to barefoot long line and I am not a small dude.
