  1. Skied the traditional summer solstice at 5:19 am in the course this morning
  2. I have seen this happen with people dragging their anchors. My neighbors mainline broke during an incident like this.
  3. Really like the US Gear too. I just ordered one today and spoke directly with Randy. He said I will have my new one by the end of the week at my door.
  4. You guys aren't helping me sell this boat. Ha ha
  5. It has been a slow, cold, and wet start in the upper Midwest too. Not sun bathing weather yet but if you are a skier it is heaven. No tubers or other wally weekend warriors out messing up the water.
  6. On calm days I put mine in by myself on my pontoon 17 minutes. In my experience drop the last anchor and then tension off the leader but go slow with the boat when that anchor comes off the floor. It takes time and just a little power. You need to be able to hold it with one hand or it is too much pressure. Most of the times the problem with crooked course is poor anchors or heavy weeds in the mainline.
  7. The craigslist add is updated
  8. My friend talked to his father-in-law last night after I mentioned the hours seem super high and his father-in-law mentioned that the perfect pass hrs are from a couple of boats. He estimates the hrs at 1000. Guys my friend is a really motivated seller. Make him a offer
  9. I think so too. Make him an offer. He already has a new/used Nautique to replace it.
  10. Rock solid guys. From about engine forward it sits "in" to the bunks toward the bow. It would take a lot of force to rotate the boat out of that position. Sometimes the wife and kids like to hop in before the boat is loaded and still now issues at all. Most of the time it is just me in the boat.
  11. Posting for a friend. Located in Balsam Lake WI https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ank/boa/d/osceola-ski-boat-malibu-echelon/6909507911.html
  12. Nice. Lets see it loaded now!
  13. @Jboss Ok Check this out. Crude I apologize but when you become a leader they take your CAD away :)
  14. @Jboss I will get you them later today. Stay tuned
  15. I did mine different than any boat I have done in the past. My bunks are actually wider at the bow and narrow toward the transom. Much of this was based on the 4 bunk trailer and trying to match it with 2 bunks on the lift. Also there is some funky geometry on the as the hull transitions to the transom and I did one a single load case on that bump. See pics
  16. Teak - the fiberglass shows scratches and looks beat up over time. I will admit as new the glass one looks great. There is some maintenance with teak but way cheaper than repairing a beat up glass one. I have a lot of kids and guests behind my boat in the summer. If it was just adult slalom skiers I might change my mind.
  17. The biggest thing to remember is that this gauge doesn't like topping off the fuel. What my dealer explained to me is not to refuel until less that 1/2 tank and when you refuel make sure you fill the tank and while doing this make sure the master power switch is off so it resets after refueled.
  18. My set up is actually different from all common approaches. The front of my bunks are wider at the front and narrow at the transom. Much of this was based on the trailer setup and by just looking at touch points on the hull that are flat. It has a funky bottom hull. I also want my bunk as close to the keel as possible
  19. Footer and course skier here with a newer ProStar. Of course I endorse the ProStar. I got the 6.2 because I am a bigger guy and need 41mph to long line. It can be achieved with the 5.7 but didn't want to max out my engine all the time. Skiing, features, and build quality is top notch.
  20. WOW. So nice. No better day than new boat day
  21. I am tempted to do this too. I hate the fan noise
  22. I put my course in this weekend for the first time this year. Our ice out was April 19th. Air temp was 48 and water temp was 51. Things are looking up. I actually ran 5 full passes with setting down on each end of the course and didn't die
