  1. Wow. Thanks for all the help on this tread and the multiple pm. Thanks
  2. Good for you. This is an amazing feeling and super addicting. I had the same hull boat but had the LT1 engine. For long line deep water starts use a 100' line. Make sure your driver starts out slow and gradual on the throttle like a slalom skier "up". Sometimes people think they have to hammet it and your end jumping off off the starting roller on your butt. Also, don't have the driver go full speed until you put your feet down. It makes it harder to get outside the wake.
  3. Holy crap that contraption makes me laugh. My wife already thinks I am too into this skiing thing and if she saw me on this I am sure she would be crying laughing.
  4. Sweet stuff guys. I am thinking about building a ramp to dry land train the static body position behind the boat. What should be the angle of the ski relative to the rope say directly behind the boat and what is the angle of the ski (tipped over angle)
  5. I think I really have never felt or been in the proper ski position-ever. I think it would suddenly be like the time you finally realize there is a sweet spot on a tennis racket. I am looking for another approach to find this sweet spot.
  6. Good points all around-thanks! In my mind I know what to do the problem is I can't execute it.
  7. Are you on a lake? If yes then find a used pontoon as a second boat. This did the trick for our family. What you are describing doesn't exist. Best compromise would be the MC X14 or the SN sport 200 as others have mentioned.
  8. Ok. Let me have it boys. I got thick skin.
  9. I tried but all it does is access my image (stills) from my phone. Strange
  10. This is my 4th season skiing the course (amateur and practice only on my lake) and I do progress each season. My new PB is up to 28off @ 32mph 5 balls. I have really plateaued in the past couple of weeks and need help. I took some video last week with my wife and it is telling. I am in decent position after the ball but it is like some ninja is kicking me in the belly button at the wakes. It is amazing I can get as many balls as I have. Any ideas on how I can brake this bad habit? I have the clips on my iphone but i can't figure out how to post them here.
  11. I quit counting how many of my 3d printed bases on my Reflex have broken. They switched to new material (black in color) and I haven't had issues. I get why they do it because it is so expensive to create an injection mold tool.
  12. I was told by our DNR officer in WI that no permit is required for a temperorary course but it was not allowed to stay in over night. Only during legal daylight hours.
  13. We absolutely love everything about our new ProStar. You will not be disappointed. Welcome to the spoiled skiers club
  14. I have been happy with my insta slalom. I put mine in weekly 6-7 months a year. I put it in with anybody that can take direction driving our pontoon. My preference is only me and a driver. That includes my 10 year old son at the time I purchased it. The best put in time was 16 minutes and the best pull was 12 minutes. That is with me doing all the work and someone at the helm of the pontoon. Having my own course was the best thing I ever did for my skiing and you can't go wrong with either brand. Go for it.
  15. If your wife is your driver. Just keep saying you are doing great no matter what. It really is the only coaching that will work. The boat site has been really good for her in the course. The heated seats and heated blanket also help. :)
  16. I am on my second season with Relfex and love it. Just switched to the intuition liners. In heaven
  17. Reminds me of my kids (very amateur wake-boarders) complaining about us only having a ProStar and the wakes not good enough for tricks. I reminded them of a time when we saw a POS deck boat full of kids with a homemade raised tow point pulling a teenager just killing it doing back flips and other tricks. Speaking of Brooks, I callled Radar a couple weeks back and got transferred to him. I really wanted him to talk me into a new ski but he told me to stick with what I got and send him some videos to look at. What??? Sometimes there are cool things about our sport.
  18. I agree with all. I was questioning some releases this summer but after carefully watching videos it was clear there was a worse accident in store for me had it not release. Kind of like what I see here that the body is leading at the boat hook up. These usually end in my case with a horrible "out the front" :)
  19. I hate these things. In theory yes it takes to load off of your grip but it has to go somewhere and in my opinion it unnaturally puts that load it in your forearms, elbows, shoulder, etc.. Stick with the gloves and when your grip is tired its time for a break.
  20. That sounds like progression in the sport
  21. Yeah but the new boats have hips!! So sexy!
  22. @swc5150 Awesome pic and form. When you get her up to our place I have every dang training tool they make. You are welcome to any of it.
  23. I wouldn't want anything from Walmart touching a ProStar :D I use my shipping cover all the time and I modded a second one for a UV waterline cover while I have my boat on the lift
