  1. I have done these on open water a lot. Works great when I am on open water in early season. Maybe I need to do more for repetition
  2. How do I get myself out of this habit? The kicker is I am strong as hell and but skiing I look like an old man trying to lift a bucket of water with his back hunched over!
  3. I am so happy with our ProStar and I am a picky product SOB. The new Nautique looks awesome but I don't see a reason to change at this point. It certainly isn't going to take my skiing to the next level, I have many other issues to work out. The room in the MasterCraft is so nice. I couldn't trade that for the Nautique as we do other things with our boat and family.
  4. Hi Guys, I am looking for some tips. I progressed into 34mph skiing at the end of last season after shortening the rope up at 30mph and then 32mph. This speed seems to work well for me because I am a heavier skier of 200lbs. Anything you would suggest I improve on as I shorten the rope at 34mph? From the video it seems I always wimp out at the wake and don't know why. I tell myself to hold it but I have bad habits from an early boat with a shitty wake. Current set up 2016 ProStar 6.2L - Zero Off at C1 Radar Vapor Pro Built 69.5 Reflex Front Boot and Hybrid Rear - mounted 1 step back from center/factory
  5. I agree. We have been very tolerate of these stupid 3d printed parts. From a support standpoint there seems to be no end of the support. If it breaks they will send you a new one.
  6. If this had the cut outs for the ProStar Tower I would take it. Really nice
  7. I will send a pic of my mod this weekend
  8. I am starting my third season on Reflex. I remember the switch very clearly from the Lace up boots - i couldn't turn. It just took a few outings and I was back and better than before. I push myself hard and with that comes falls. I have had so many that make me brace and cringe from all the years of traditional bindings but then "boom" I am free of the ski to a safe landing. I suffered so many ankle and toe strains until I switched to ReFlex. Love the confidence and safety from this binding. My kid is an occasional course skier and I got him Reflex because I think it is safer for him too.
  9. Congrats - This weekend for me
  10. I think it looks awesome and the features are amazing. Nice work by Nautique
  11. @Wish - Is that Marcus Brown? Are people doing this sort of thing a lot? Back on topic. I was at the cabin/lake (60 minutes from Minneapolis) last night and plowed 10" of snow from this week. We have had zero warm spells all winter long and my lake glassed over the first week of November. We will be fortunate to get out in early May. Last year was April 1
  12. I am excited that manufacturers are still innovating in this segment of boating. Bring it on and thanks!

  14. Retail is a fantasy. The street value will probably be high 80k
  15. The title was Wicked ProStar which means you need to 6.2L engine B)
  16. When I have to stow mine it goes on the floor around the engine box. Mine is a boat lift queen so not much of an issue. I agree this wasn't well thought out in the details
  17. We use one on my boat. It is an older school one I bought from a friend. I think it is a 4'. 2 reasons - safety and I got a rope burn on my engine cover of my new boat. It was all taken care of at the dealer but still a pain to bring it in to get fixed.
  18. Wow - the $$ goes a long ways in South
  19. @Brady I am with you. I need to be very diligent with my workouts and eating. I have a 250lb guy on the inside I beat down every single day I wake up in the morning and hit the CrossFit gym. It is not easy at all but skiing is the reward and it is worth it. Like mentioned by @braindamage - I enjoy the work outs and I have found a eating plan that is not hard to follow, tasty, and not hungry ever. What infuriates me the most is when people think I am lucky for my health and fitness level. BS - it is hard ass work.
  20. Great write up Horton! I have read Kelly's book and will check out Hyman's. Another good read I finished last month was Tom Brady's book The TB12 Method: How to Achieve a Lifetime of Sustained Peak Performance. Love him or hate him his training and eating regime is interesting. Plays into what is written above.
  21. @Eljaybee You can't get them from a dealer. The cost is much higher but it is MC built if you know what mean. Durable, functional, and beautiful.
  22. I have this mount on my boat and love it. What I did is bought a conversion mount so I can mount my Iphone to it so I can get closer videos.
  23. I think it could work if we could get as organized as the crossfit community but I think it is doubtful. It would be a fun way to bring us all together. There are many misconceptions about crossfit and the big one is that it is about body building (get the look). It has nothing to do with that. The whole methodology is about turning yourself in to the best athletic shape you can. All the lifting is full body movements. You won't see people rocking muscle specific moves like bicep curls.
