  1. Need a web designer thats not showing off how fancy they can make it.....just make it functional
  2. In concept, C seemed like something that would work well for me. I have tried it just a couple passes, not only did I not run any passes but I fell on half of them. I didn't get the speed or width I was used to. A change from B to A went very easy for me. The different settings certainly take some adjustment, and I think going from A to B, or B to C, or certainly A to C takes more adjustment than moving toward A. The timing of edge change is different. I think with C you will need to delay your edge change a little, where A gets you faster across the wake to an earlier edge change. One isn't necessarily better than the other, but changing can take some time to adjust.
  3. That size ski need a nice SLOW start. Bigger the ski, the slower the start.
  4. What is just as important as "when the boat picks you up" is what happens as a result. I think what the the A settings does that works well for people is the sling across the wakes you get when the boat compensates. The A settings allows the boat to slow the most of all the settings. After the boat slows and picks you up it then has to speed up above the set speed to maintain the proper time from buoy to buoy. That means a significant acceleration from the time it picks you up until it is just as much above the set speed as you had dropped below the set speed. That acceleration helps you gain speed across the wakes. The C settings will force you to generate more of the speed yourself. Of course the later and more adjustment that has to happen with A means it will be on you longer, but with the speed it has helped you generate across the wakes, you should be free of the boat at that point anyway, and at short line a little extra after the wakes to get you up next to the boat could also be helpful.
  5. @wettek69 90% of the lower prices of S line is that they sell direct, and not through retail stores. The other 10% is the lower overhead of a small business....or maybe it's 80/20....or 70/30. Either way the point is the same.
  6. @Andre I'm just saying they don't deserve the criticism. It is the fair market options. Small businesses selling direct vs a larger company that sells through retail and allows the existence of those retail outlets. Do you know what Performance buys their lines from Masterline for? If they weren't selling Masterline products for a profit, and all of the other products they sell at a profit, they wouldn't exist.
  7. Before everyone criticizes Masterline for their prices, keep in mind that they are selling through retail stores such as Performance, and many others. A big part of the cost of Masterline is offering the opportunity for businesses like Performance to make money and have a business.
  8. Many people that learn without training, or exposure to people that have been trained, think that their dominant foot should be in the back. I've thought about switching, but I am a bit of a mix. A lot of that is being right hand, right foot dominant but left eye dominant. I always felt more comfortable skateboarding and such LFF as I could see better.
  9. Lots of things intentional or un-intentional dealing with the rudder that could cause that. I can't imagine that anything related to the steering cable would have that effect.
  10. Glidesoul is another brand with various length/style bottoms. Whitney is/was sponsored....
  11. @adamhcaldwell As suggested above....seems that's an AWSA call. I'm sure Masterline would be happy to provide whatever model the tournament wants. Looks like it was leaked before Masterline informed.
  12. 8 straight swiss titles. Not much more dominant than that. She's back and as good as ever.
  13. There's more than 1 coach that doesn't stress going through the gates in practice. In fact discourages going through gate if it means taking a bad gate. How many gates has EM missed in tournaments?
  14. @GWaterski Somebody turned me on the the TENS.... It feels good while using it. I don't find that it has a lasting benefit for me though.
  15. Skied this morning and now my lower left hurts. My lower left never hurts, only my lower right.....wth. Only difference is I tried my ski partners cga vest. It didn't seem to make any difference in my start ups, but maybe with the bulkier vest it put me in a different position.
  16. I did get a tip regarding deep water starts. If the ski is fairly straight or slightly left and your torso is inline with the ski, it puts more pressure on the lower right back. If you can let the ski aim left but make sure your torso is facing the boat it will work the lower back muscles more evenly. I try to do that more lately. Can't really say that it helped much, but it sounds good in concept.
  17. I have had off and on issues for years. Also LFF, and right lower back is where the soreness is. Starting last summer it's been worse, especially after doing a practice set with someone that seemed a little heavy handed on deep water starts, missed several starts, he said he was going as slow as he could. It's a compounding thing with my starts. When my back starts getting sore, my starts get worse and my back gets more sore. For reference, today i hadnt skied in about 2 weeks and the starts were easy, didnt miss any...no pain....yet. I've tried all kinds of back support braces. I do core and other workouts off and on (maybe more on than off would help more.) I can out plank anyone (many, maybe not anyone.) I finally got to an orthopedic. They just think strained muscles, tho they did see some arthritis in my back....maybe is complicating things. They gave me a anti-inflammatory and a muscle relaxer. I take those when sore and it helps. Like you, looking for more answers. Not more than 2-3 years ago I could do 2 10-11 pass sets in a day and turn around and do it the next day. Now, not so much. Getting old sucks......
  18. In the picture you mentioned, I think it could certainly be possible that something happened causing more force to the front foot causing it to release, then a little later created the force to the rear that caused it to release, potentially no setup issues and all released without issues. I would think that if you're considering a move from rubber to hard shell then the transition would be significant. Maybe a good time to consider also transitioning to an RTP. I've been on MOB for a couple years and would certainly recomend either way, 2 boots or just front with RTP.

    E-15 Fuel

The long/short of it in regards to the OP is.....there's nothing to see here. The OP stated "presumably instead of E10" which is jumping the gun. Nothing is changing except the fuel that had previously NOT been available during the summer, will be available year round this year. But if that isn't a fuel that your vehicles use (or can use,) then it in no way effects you (I would guess that most, if not all ski boats are NOT set up for flex fuel.) E10 and ethanol free aren't going away and will still be around to be used.....business as usual.
  20. @lpskier I've seen it just as much on the golf ourse

    E-15 Fuel

Thread is fine, just some of the people that can't keep their juvenile political criticisms off of BOS. There may be a limit to how many times you can have your comments deleted....is it different from person to person?
