It’s funny I was just having this conversation with my wife. Obviously started with the New SN. I am still a bare bones type of boat person. I don’t need all the screens and functions that are confusing at best. A speedo, tach, engine stuff, and ZO is just fine. High tech construction, nope. Flashy...Nice but no. Interior can be nice without all the flash, but have great quality. Heater and shower are a must. Don’t get me wrong, I like creature comforts and a nice boat, but can’t we have options from ground up without having to pick all of items up front if we don’t want them? Sounds like I am explaining the carbon pro hmmm. My Malibu is sweet with most options, however it is a 2009 because that’s what I could afford. Does everything you would need a boat to do. Same comes with cars or trucks. As I noticed a lot of cars are going to turbo 4, 6’s. What happened to the beast V8? Oh yeah emissions.... I get we need good air quality, but once again the cars from the 60’s were cheap and awesome! Either way, I am stuck buying used cars, boats, etc because nothing is affordable anymore. Used stuff serves the same purpose, and more than likely are more user friendly and fun to drive(cars). When I am done with this boat, I will be able to afford the ones out now which is cool with me:) rant over.

Hope the driver is ok too! Maybe one of the surf barges wasn’t paying attention?

I think the drag devices are a great idea. Too many SN 200’s had different wakes to me. Anything to get rid of that trough is a good innovation. Not a fan of the looks really, but a nice boat nonetheless. I am sure it will grow on me like the new Malibu. Are they going to start coming out with seadek wrap for the inside of your boat like the wraps for the outside....ha ha. That thing is all seadek!

@jhughes well said. I was just having this conversation with one of my ski buddies. I have a 2009 Response and he has a 2009 SN. We were saying when you can get a used boat that will do the exact same thing, why pay that much money? If people have it and want to spend it on that more power to them. Nautique purists are watering at the mouth I am sure.....

I used my Jeep YJ to pull my boat out of the garage and onto the street. That’s all I needed to answer that question. I wouldn’t recommend using a Jeep for anything other than maybe a toy trailer.

@RAWSki @Shell That’s awesome so happy for you guys! My wife and I just renewed our vows 10 years at the waterski lake on the dock. Took pics in/on the boat, had all of our close friends and family, cool lights hanging, with an actual boat theme. My wife calls me captain and she is my first mate so we had a couple signs, anchors, printed koozies etc. was a blast! Not sure if that’s what you were thinking but thought I would share ideas. Can send a couple pics if you would like also.

My wife is on a lyric and loves it. The senate is a great Ski also, but is on the same page as a lyric being the main shape comes from a Vapor....the skis just have more width. I think the Omni would be a great choice as well. Go in @perfski and talk to Bill and he will be able to point you in the right direction for sure. Was just in there the other day.

I used to use them. I have a 4’ one, but got tired of losing the rope in it when changing towlines. Probably should for safety and would be easier to center when caught on the side. I notice they are always used in Tournaments for safety tho.

I would just buy a decent head unit, your crutchfields, Best Buy, or any place like that. If you are not running an amp then that is the route I would go. I have a Bluetooth receiver plugged In my amp as well and don’t like it. If you don’t your phone hooked up then it beeps at you the whole time, feedback sound all the time, always have to have my phone in the boat at all times..... just get a brand name head and call it a day. eBay will have some great deals also.

I use 303 and Vinyl Sauce on my seats.

@swc5150 and @Bill22, I see both perspectives on this, but it seems that people tend to get out of hand on the jokes lately to me when in reality we are all looking for answers on when we might see the product. The same thing I wondered when I started this thread:) I loved the CP and just needed an open bow at the time, so maybe when they decide to surprise us with something I will have another boat to consider in the future. Until then I will enjoy my Malibu, and you guys enjoy your MC’s, Nautique, Malibus, or whatever you are ripping behind......

Big shout out to Josh and Bill at Perf ski! Went in today and the best customer service by far! Got my daughter a new wetsuit and vest with a nice BOS discount. My wife wouldn’t let me buy anything.....I will be calling to order stuff later for sure!

@hbfs there are a number of lakes out there, just depends on what you are looking to do. I go skiing out there when I am in Seattle on business. Some great private lakes. I can give you some insight if you like.
