  1. There was a 5.7 HO PCM carb 315 around the mid 2000’s Sounds fuel. Anti siphon valve in tank clogged/restricted?
  2. Link to database https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UsM99RDC-YlpybtqcjCv1-0ArnljSR_lNVITXSYwElA/edit?usp=sharing
  3. Starting a database. Feel free to add columns / Notes https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UsM99RDC-YlpybtqcjCv1-0ArnljSR_lNVITXSYwElA/edit?usp=sharing
  4. Option 3.5 for me. I haven’t given up but not yet done tinkering. I turned up the zbox setting to 12 and that has helped a lot with response. But the speed coming in is hot, then slows, then speeds up.
  5. Not sure why the double post, but absolutely Radar is standing behind it.
  6. We’re a huge Radar supporter, and thanks @brooks for chiming in.
  7. Happens to mine too if the battery connections get lose or corroded.
  8. Just discovered my radar knotless mainline (the black one) is short by 7’ @ 15’ off! It’s accurate up to 35’ off but after that all the sections are short by 6”- 2’ eventually creating 7’ difference at 15’ off. Been struggling all season behind my boat, and other boats always felt like I had more line. Sure enough...it’s off. And most affected at the 22’ and 15’ off my family skis at.

  10. @alex38 I think that’s a great idea to get a database going with dialed in boats and their settings.
  11. I’d love to see any SN 196 with gt40 configurations if anyone has them. Been struggling to get good times as well. Turned the zbox setting up to 12 from 8 and finally got some throttle up response.
  12. Oh yes, I assumed we were talking about a zbox equipped perfectpass
  13. In theory, B2. Perfectpass can also be adjusted so that if your B2 doesn't feel like B2 and more like a B1 or A3 etc, you can move it. On my 196 GT40, B1 feels like a the 2017 Prostar ZO boat on B2. I just leave it on B1 though..
  14. @hemlock what boat / engine did you end up with those ball settings?
  15. The manual suggests that a Kx setting of + or ++ may be needed on carbed motors and 1:1. Do you come in hot to the course? On one end of our course we have a 90 degree turn in and the boat accelerates to maintain speed, comes in hot, tries to slow down by ball one, then is too slow so accelerates at ball 2. Coming straight into the course I don’t have that issue at the other end.
  16. My Garnmin GPS18x was upgraded, worked good for a week and then I'm getting inconsistent lock times, speed variations and some odd GPS behavior.
  17. We have 3 TRA's 2015 Boys 63 2017 Boys 63 2017 Girls 65 Kids love them, and are really into the Radar brand. The girls are aged 13 and 15 and the 65 might be a bit big for them now, they'll have it a long time.
  18. For what its worth, I'm seeing similar issues with Perfectpass, that share (or at least seem to be) the same Garmin puck. We're getting inconsistent lock on times, speed ups and downs, GPS speed errors, even with an updated puck from Perfectpass.
  19. There is a Zbox Output in the diagnosis menu that shows a value. Not sure what the value means but someone with previous zbox troubleshooting may be able to share the ranges. Mine sits around "550" and will dip down to 495 on moderate pulls. Not sure what that means, but I don't find the zbox to be all that reactive with RPM to our long line/slower speed skiing
  20. Super hard to find, been through it and ended up upgrading to Stargazer Wake S. I was so happy with it that I upgraded again to 3 Event with Zbox. In the end, I'm glad I never found one..
  21. Just received my updated puck, and lock time is instant. Also feels like a different boat, in a good way. Very happy.
  22. Anyone seeing any improvement? I had mine on for over an hour yesterday, plus a number of 1/2 hour sessions. No improvement yet.
  23. I’ve owned all 3, and currently have a graphite and lithium. Looking back the alloy was really nice for our public lake, had more give to it in the chop. Graphite is probably my favorite as it’s more forgiving then the lithium. Lithium is awesome when it’s glass out, it’s crazy fast though and I need to be focused to ski it.
  24. Ya, something is up. Taking too long to lock on. No errors in the diagnostics menu.
  25. LOL - reminded me of my son trying to be like Dad.. HAHA
