  1. Interesting, that I added 100 lbs of crew weight for my autocal and then brought it back to zero for that run. Also my no skier times are dead on.
  2. Yep, have all the timing charts. As noted I was skiing at 32mph, not 32.3 so had to manually calculate ball times to check in. You can see my 2-4 ball times, the boat bled off a lot of speed.
  3. My thought was to go to: Ball 1 20 Ball 2 30 B4 to Exit 35 I'll try it in the morning
  4. I'm normally driving for inconsistent skiers, so I rarely have repeatable data. Today I ran a decent 22'off pass at 32mph(practice mode) so I had to calculate times manually for 32mph, but this is what I got: Based on what you see, what adjustments would you make?
  5. @GaryJanzig did you ball time settings change after 9.2/zbox from what you posted?
  6. Thanks! I hope it brings some insight as to why so many of us have to deviate from the stock ball settings to get good ball times. In particular the need to increase ball 1 and decrease ball 3 settings so much to stop the surging. It boggles me why the stock settings are so off.
  7. Enter the settings here when you get a chance. I'm trying to get a database populated: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UsM99RDC-YlpybtqcjCv1-0ArnljSR_lNVITXSYwElA/edit#gid=0
  8. Boat Straight, let speed control take over, and don't run me over.
  9. That kids senate (TRA) is awesome. We have 3 of them on our family.
  10. Nice boat! That weather looked all too familiar to mine this morning. I’m just south of you on Balsam Lake.
  11. There was a thread, on bobstheoilguy a while back where Shell responded directly to the zddp level question on T4 vs the previous T. ZDDP levels remained the same, which is really what was important to any of us running flat tappet cams (GT40, 351W etc) motors. FWIW I use T4 in my GT40 Ski Nautique and Mecruiser 502 MAG in my Baja.
  12. There is a set screw on that knob. When I first got my previously enjoyed SN 196, that screw was loose and the PP had odd behavior. Not sure if its your issue, but worth checking
  13. Thanks for the recent upload of data on the spreadsheet. @GSchmid were all those your settings? Whoever's settings those are, I found it very interesting that on the same boat as me (2002 SN196 GT40) that you are running KX+, and a high zbox value of 14, and running a much higher ball 1 number then I do. Yet I get consistent times. I have to disclose, though, that most of my timing has been with my wife running 15'off, 30.4,mph inconsistently through the course. I've only been able to run a few skiers through at 32.3mph up though 28'off so my data is limited. Note on the spreadsheet the first listing has now been updated to STOCK PP settings. My listings are lines 14 & 15
  14. If you mean the gummy residue they can leave, SUPER CLEAN works amazing.
  15. Wasn't damaged, just scuffed. Came back with some light wetsanding/compound/polish with the buffer. Its always in a bag..unless i'm in between sets in the boat.
  16. Have a kid in our ski group that likes to bounce from boat to boat, stepping on the skis... My ski got a decent scratch on it and I've been trying to take it out. So far the scratch is gone, but I can't get the swirl scratches out. 1500grit wet sand, rubbing compound, polish, finishing compound..still shows swirls in the sun as its a black ski. Anyone have procedure to finishing up the ski? I'm sure with the number of hand built skis produced that there is a start to finish procedure to making them shine like new. Yes I'm OCD about my stuff...
  17. @GSchmid my 2002 196 with GT40 is in storage now, but I think my numbers are REALLY close to what your finals are. I am also running V9.2 with ZBOX. I started a google doc last year for keeping a database of PP numbers: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UsM99RDC-YlpybtqcjCv1-0ArnljSR_lNVITXSYwElA/edit?usp=drive_open&ouid=102524635880918549491
  18. I measured my FF Vector boots on my 2017 Senate this morning, and in the center holes I'm bang on the 30.5" stock recommended front boot distance on a 67" ski.
  19. Rich video content. Focus on the little details that a consumer cannot get from reading the latest brochure/website from both the factory side and pro/end user side. On the factory/brand side, why these little details make a difference in the ski and what sets them apart from other models in the line. Why feature X or technology X was chosen, and the little details that came from the development process. On the professional/end user content, what they feel in the equipment, how did it change their experience on the water.
  20. Large lake with Public course. Calm weekend mornings its busy. Other times its dead.
  21. btw @efw, my boat would have skied like crap with the gate to ball 3 times you are showing. I would highly recommend working those out. Especially with the system trying to make up that Ball 2-3!
  22. Adding 9.2 + zbox this year, and dialing in the ball times greatly improved my results. I was struggling at 15'off 28mph in the beginning of this year and ended up running consistent 22'off 32mph and a few 28'off passes at 32mph. As the PPSG/ZBOX system got further refined in terms of ball adjustments over the summer, so did my progression. Chalk it up to PPSG/ZBOX tuning, moving to a Senate Lithium from a Graphite, or just good ole time on the water, I have PB's to back it up!
  23. @KalebP check out the google docs spreadsheet I started: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1UsM99RDC-YlpybtqcjCv1-0ArnljSR_lNVITXSYwElA/edit#gid=0 Mine is the very first listing and its VERY close. From what I have found, and determined from others, is that Ball 1 needs to be increased and Ball 3 needs to be decreased significantly to reduce the surge at ball 2. I'm now getting good times, +/- .00-.03 sometimes at Ball 3 and Exit, but that seems to be more skier/pass dependent if you are skiing smooth or have to make up time. Typically I'm driving for my wife or kids so I don't get to hear the boat / see the times when she drives for me, but it feels very similar to the 2017 Prostar I ski behind at times, and the few much better skiers that I have pulled behind my 196 have said it feels great, and the times were good.
