  1. I understand the question and debate but if someone is giving the manufacturer credit; I guess the question is who is giving them that and why.... If the manufacturer is taking credit that’s a whole different story. I guess is comes down to what is it you don’t like about it; and if it’s just the principle of the matter...well I think you just have to get over it. We are in a diminishing sport. Let’s take any opportunity to bring it back into any spotlight we can. Don’t see that it can hurt your tourney in any way.. Theres another thread about the sport dying and all that....I guess we as a sport and community want the boat manufacturers to take credit and to sell as many DD’s as they can and not be taken over by v-drives. I’d hope if the manufacturer did take credit they’d supply you with a promo the following year..
  2. @aupatking , dont really disagree just think the mentality is a little behind the times. You need a new creative way or reach the masses...Social Media is the only platform Waterskiing can afford. I was and am a huge Andy Mapple fan...who isnt but i think the next face of waterskiing needs to be female. Manon, Whit, or go to a new Generation like Samanath D or N-Ross. We need to sell with a very limited budget. @MarcusBrown is pioneering a new way for waterskiing to be viewed for the masses. I do applaud the passion and effort you are putting forward. I too am looking to financially support the industry more than usual since the death of WSM. Us up north are talking about making trips to some of the major events ( which goes to your point about tourneys); buying product from players who actually support waterskiing; making a donation to BOS ;) buying a sticker is like a donation lol; even turning over our equipment a little sooner than usual. New family moved to our lake last year; never been a cottage family or anything like that; owners are lawyers and kids are city kids - gave them a pair of skis as a welcome to the neighborhood gift...Best thing i could have done...the only water sport they partake in is water skiing and god forbid they will never own a wakeboard haha.
  3. @Horton I hear you; all good. I was just getting the old USA vs Canada rivalry going haha. When those two face off....fireworks! Looking for to 2018!
  4. Point 2 is correct You’re way off on Freddy over Ryan And what about Manon!?! Don’t count her out!
  5. @dchristman i see your Tech one in the below photo! many your ski looks mint for 40 plus years!! good find!
  6. Agree with @Chris Eller . If you have a video of it happening that's good enough....especially if this is a systemic issue. Common sense should prevail here.
  7. Hey @flapjack , if you are terry from SIA...i say look at @perfski they have good deals on the vector set up...I saw that was one on your list. They are also pretty good to ballers so don't be afraid to mention BOS. They tend to be cheaper than the suppliers north of the boarder. I think it said you were Canadian...so Buckeye surf and ski and Shuswap would be our two better stores then boarsdports and cottage toys....Canada has a limited supply market..Shuswap is the most extensive however there website and payment functions are extremely behind the times!
  8. @dchristman that Tech-1 has some similarities to a 2018 Radar Vapor Lithium. Great find!!
  9. Well that explains it perfectly! Thanks a ton @brooks
  10. Hey Ballers, I found myself re watching episodes of FlowPointTV last night. I was watching the one with Will Asher and he got me thinking about the construction of the ski. I have never played with shaping a ski or anything along those lines before. What it really got me thinking about was the Radar line of skis, specifically the Senate and Vapor and the what performance changes are gained from the different core structures. For example Senate has 3 "classes" Alloy, Graphite and Lithium and the Vapor has Graphite, Lithium and Pro Build. I understand the cores are different but how does that actually relate to performance? What are you gaining with the upgrade in the core in relation to performance? is it durability / My understanding is the shape of the ski does no change based on the core make up. I actually own both skis one senate alloy from 2016 and 2017 lith vap. I use the senate for free ski and to start my year off and use the vap for course ( mainly). I assume its more noticeable for the pro's / high end skiers but I am truly curious. #RadaR @brooks @eddie_roberts_jr Thanks, Ky
  11. I'd work for free!!!...but my work won't let me away from the office for that long. Great Opportunity here for some lucky guy or gal !!
  12. @Buoyhead69 buddy don't even worry about it!! That happens to all of us northerners. Guys down south don't have that issue; maybe 0-3 months off....we go half the year off water almost... First few weeks in May i can barely get into a suit for work monday and tuesday...If you're ever in Muskoka give me a holler
  13. @mmosley899 that helps big time! I believe it really just comes down to the engineering of the different release systems. Your system is quite different from other so the testing would be different in theory as well. All good. Appreciate the video. Will be in touch.
  14. hey @trevorleagas, i saw your post already was going to say something. if you hover the mouse on the top right hand corner of your comment you will see " options" ; click on edit ad; you have 24hours to edit and click save changes when done. You should be able to change it like that ( i have only changes my comments not the title before) Ky
  15. So based on your list i like the Malibu option. Really like the styling 07-09 and it would suit your list above quite well. I just googled Matrix Super sport...Looks nice - actually reminds me of a malibu response prior to the major change last year. Unforutnately we don't have those in Canada so cant help you there. But interested in hearing what route you take Good luck with the boat search!
  16. @Horton happy to see you re-post adam sedlmajer twitter post on the home page. That is the issue i commented about on this thread volume 37 issue 4 i believe. great issue!
  17. @Zman it’s actually Seffner, us in the North always just say Lakeland for some reason.
  18. I think @MarcusBrown is moving in the right direction with his podcasts and #flowpointtv. Completely agree with @FWinter about content. Volume 37 issue 4; slalom academics was and is something I have read dozens of times. Really helped me remember crucial elements. There was lots of good articles and content the past few years. Might just depend on your level. @wish I agree with you it’s easier via cell phone; but I still pack a few waterski mags Every time I get on a plane! Haha.
  19. No secret where McCormick Is hiding. His ski school / compound in Lakeland is sweet!
  20. no worries buddy. enjoy the warmth and even though it's 50's today that is still warm...to us Canadians haha
  21. @flapjack interesting issue. @aupatking i just bought a XXL reflex and i'm a twelve..i feel that 14 would just be too tight for him. A little off topic but with such large feet say 4-6 inches more "foot coverage on the ski" does that / how much does it impact the flex on the ski. should large feet guys go up a ski length for flex? just bought a vapour and i tested a 66 and 67 and ended up with the 67 ( just like my senate). i noticed some buddies same weight range but smaller feet went down to a 66...i went solely on feel and ride but wonder how much the flex impacted my runs. agreed @mmosley899 or @brooks would be a good contact on this. Good luck on coming up with solution. I have size 13 and 15 cousin and uncle and we struggle with them to get into anything...so interested to hear the end result.
  22. Please...not again with the drones
  23. good to know. @DRail use to work for H20proshop i believe. not sure if he still in the game officially or doing something on the side. Found him via SIA but was able to confirm who he was on here. He did have a few hardshells for sale on SIA but the others were smaller and i'm a XXL. He's in West Palm Beach FL
