Katana is a really fun and stable ski. I rode a 2016 a few times back in 2016 and it was great!! Im 6' 162lbs and ride a 66 in the course and a 67 for free skiing.

What's a "pile". In Canada a pile refers to a piling for permanent dock's like cedar piles or steel piles...Is the launch narrow also? You say you grab onto other boat; when in doubt grab another persons boat...always better than boat on boat; I for one would appreciate you doing that. Without seeing or knowing much i would suggest the following ( seems like you are the driver / trailer operator) Why not back down the ramp to where the boat floats; have your wife in the boat. you park get out and turn the boat around for her so she facing away; give her a little push forwarded and have her drive off then pull away and park your rig. if its a shallow ramp you will only have to go in knee deep i would think... If you feel more comfortable with the boat maybe spend some time with the wife and teach her to drive trailer a little bit. always a handy skill; but i know many are hesitant to learn also. hope something there works for you. @ntx Money is waterskiing!?! LMFAO Manon is awesome plain and simple. She can rock any ski and any brand that is privileged to have her run on their gear is good in my books. She just podium'd AGAIN. The brands need a Manon; Manon doesnt need the brand. Whit is intimately involved with Radar and Manon jumps on a new Connelly and goes buoy for buoy...badass!! P.S. glad you didn't mention Ellie Rae :) watch out for Connelly; coming from a radar guy.

@ntx thanks for the clarification. so 2018's were made in 2017 and 2019's are made in 2018...makes sense! so i can't get a 2018 made in 2018....i cant be the only one who thinks this is stupid. Not sure how calling it a 2019 is relevant or truthful...

@TwanohTommy welcome to BOS. Ski sounds amazing but honestly i would suggest keeping it and mounting it in your cave. Its a great conversation piece and plus it was yours!! the guys on here are just going to hang it themselves. Most guys are riding new equipment but love to keep the old stuff to reminisce. Anyways just my two cents but i think that ski is wicked cool !!!

@BraceMaker not only did i learn slalom by the drop i also learned to barefoot that way too HAHA. I go up on one or two skis ( started as 2) and then drop one foot in kick off the other ski and barefoot....its neat hearing all the different methods.

@EricE i saw a video semi recently of Samantha Dumala running a 8 ball course behind a nautique. Not sure if i can dig it up ( not a social media guy) but im quite sure it can be done and some top level people are using it.

I think the jump is your biggest liability there. So if your community has decided they are going to tow....then towing is towing. there are many variables for all sports and activities that could arise, that could result in a lawsuit...so I don't think tubing is the problem. I know a private site that has created "dead zones" at either end telling the drivers to go to 0 about 150ft from the ends which doesnt impact skiers much but i guess it takes some of the fun out of it for a tuber..
