  1. THAT is disturbing! I hope they're OK.
  2. @Bdecker The Touchless Boat Cover is amazing. I had the opportunity to see one demonstrated in person by the guy who designed it a few years back. My buddy Dana knows the guy. Would stand up to Merry Meeting Lake winds much better the other on mentioned.
  3. @Than_Bogan Wow! great skiing!!! Tell Sarah I'm impressed. Liv saw it too. Congrats Sarah and Dad!!
  4. @Horton I second the motion to consider a newer style 4 dr truck w a tonneau. I have owned about everything, SUV's and many trucks, Tundra, Nissan, Ram. My new Ram 2500 full 4 door 4x4 has the most comfortable creature comforts of any vehicle I've had including a few overpriced foreign SUV's. So incredibly comfortable for long trips. You have many options, and options are good.
  5. I look forward to skiing and driving soon. This boat is a winner in all regards. I have a feeling NH will be receiving at least 2 of these within the foreseeable future. @Ali ;) I have a feeling I will be negotiating a multi-boat deal...for a friend.
  6. @Horton , Any initial thoughts after your first rides on it that you can share? I ordered mine Monday.
  7. If Mastercraft makes a retro Stars and Stripes graphics option for this new boat, I will be pulling out my checkbook, swatting the moths away, and signing the dotted line.
  8. @Horton ...you are in a very important tournament tomorrow! Which ski will you grab, XTR cc or C75? 1 month of income is on the line.
  9. Slightly off subject. In Sept 1989 I skied Lucky's ski school at Dexter. I hand drove him thru 39 @36. It was my first time pulling someone at that level. I'll just say that he was so damn efficient, you wouldn't even know someone was behind the boat. I skied on a Connelly Shortline at that time. He commented that something was off with my skiing, and wanted to rule out the ski. He took it for a spin, and ran 38 straight down the rope. Guy was amazing.
  10. Here in SE NH today, water temp 50, air 39, and snow squalls off and on all day. Wind gusts around 50mph mid day.
  11. Thanks @Chad_Scott. Great info!
  12. @mbabiash The 9970 is based on the 9900 shape I'm told. When I had the 9900 I had trouble at the shorter line lengths on my off side turn. I prefer the forward width of the XTR. I certainly wouldn't oppose trying the 9960 if the opportunity arose though. My ski partner just took delivery of an XTR cc that I'm looking forward to testing. Ski well!!
  13. @OSSKI When would you estimate that this will be available?
  14. Myself and my ski partner are on XTR's. We both ski 34MPH, run 35, and a few at 38. Would love to hear an unbiased test on the XTR cc to see how it stacks up to the standard XTR. He just ordered one, and I'm waiting to see how it goes. "Feels great, fast, turns amazing". Anybody have anything more tangible? Like is it more consistent at your top passes, picking up 3 buoys consistently, would be what I'd like to hear.
  15. kevin89mc Not even close to being apples to apples. Paradiseskier54 Run that boat exactly as designed, CC spent more time researching than all of us combined, taking all things into consideration.
  16. I have a 12 MC with Rev Q (2 puck). I experienced a glitch during a set, when we accelerated toward the course, no ZO engagement. It was searching unsuccessfully. Was getting a message "Bad POS" in the diagnostics. I powered down and performed a manual disconnect at the battery switch. The ZO operated fine for the rest of the session. The issue reappeared intermittently over the following month. I spoke with a ZO tech and he explained to me that the GPS mapping for this system is actually in the puck itself. He advised me to purchase a new puck, same model, that would have updated mapping, and simply leave #2 puck unplugged. The puck was $250. Converting over to the newer large single antenna would have cost me a boat load more, as the head needs to be purchased along with the antenna plus a system update. I ski behind my boat and several newer boats with the latest systems and software and the difference at my level of skiing is negligible.
  17. You guys are killing me. Lots of ice fishermen off the end of my dock today and a few snowmobiles ripping past. Long way to go here in NH. 2 1/2 more months minimum.
  18. ChiroBlitz Ann at McGinnis Ski School is the best place in the area. Ann is a super nice lady and a great driver. The site skis very well!! Reasonably priced too. They run a Nautique and MC boats.
  19. I bought a boat lift from a guy years ago. He offered to pull me through his floating type course when I was there. As it turns out, it was 8-12" narrow. It was a total shit show for me. I missed my opener, shortened anyhow, and missed -28 3 times in a row. Hadn't missed that line length in 10 years prior! Funny part was that he always bragged that his kid could run crazy line lengths, but never ran his opener in tournaments.
  20. I have used a number of different brands over the years until Brazil turned me on to Skier to Skier. I like all of their products. For about 10 years I have used S1, S1G for 55's, and their orange Polyforms for gates and turn buoys. I have no complaints. I ski on other courses that use red Wally turn buoys. In late day flat light I have a hard time seeing them. Orange is used for construction signs for a reason, it's the first color in the spectrum our eyes and brains process. Thanks Ed, we miss you.
  21. I have to admit, I always time the skier from gates to gates (Old Luck L. trick) to check the speed. I got a 16.10 on this one. Great skiing, amazing talent.
  22. I had a 96 Nautique with GT-40 3 blade prop that I bought when I was a new member of CC promo team that year. Fastest 0-36, 0-40,0-WOT that I ever drove to this day. Top speed was 50(calibrated). Dealer (Maloon Family member) told me that promos were tweaked at the factory to provide more power than stock. As a 23 yr Sr 3 event driver, I've driven more than my fair share of boats. Wish I still had that one.
