  1. I would ask the seller but they are out of town this week and can't do any measurements
  2. I'm close to purchasing a 2013 response TXI, I see that the beam is 93.5". I'm trying to make sure it will fit in my boat house. Measuring the beam, as I have read, is done from the widest part of the boat - typically in the middle somewhere around the waterline. I take it this means that there is no wider part, correct? Also, I know there is some slope to the side of the boat, does anyone know the width of the base of the hull? My boat house has a boat cradle that lowers a boat into the water on a track, I want to make sure it will fit. If anyone has the complete list of dimensions that would be amazing! Anyone able to measure this on their boat? Thanks!
  3. Anyone in the South Lake/Fallen Leaf Lake area willing to check out a boat for me? PM me if so! Thanks! Willing to return the favor for anyone looking for boats in the PNW.
  4. @ vtjc and @BraceMaker thanks for the info - that may explain it, the boat has ZO but he replaced a GPS puck and did some other stuff when he bought the boat with 350ish hours. he says the 899 hrs represent the hours he put on the boat, there may be a way on the digital display to have something like a trip meter - hours you can reset but the owner says deeper in the settings you get to the original hours. He has been upfront on the hours, I just didn't think you could reset the hours or have something like a trip meter.
  5. not sure how common this is, seems strange. I guess on the digital gauges you can find the computer hours deep in the system - the owner says that is where he gets the 1200ish hours from. the basic hobbs meter has 900 or so on it.
  6. I'm looking at an 09 Malibu response LXI. Overall in great condition but there is a dash hours vs computer hours discrepancy. The dash says about 900 hrs, if you plug it in the computer says about 1200ish hours. The seller is upfront about this, my question is this normal? is it a idle vs run time issue or just the inaccuracy of the dash hours clock? Has anyone seen anything like this? Thanks!
  7. Same thing just happened to me. Front boot blew out in the heel. I reached out to radar and they told me to find a shoe repair guy to see if they could patch it with something. Mine are vectors from 2014. I get it they are old but haven't been used much due to geography for the past 4 yrs. I figured it was an isolated issue. Sounds like it is more common.
  8. Not sure, still waiting to hear from the seller. The add is very basic, no mention of hours, ZO or anything like that.
  9. Looks very similar but it is a red one out of Eugene OR
  10. A 2008 MB 190 popped up for sale near-ish by me. I've been reading about them and most of what I can see is from the early 2000s with mixed results on tracking/wake. Anyone have any knowledge about the 2008 yr model with regards to wake and all lengths/speed and tracking? Any other advice on these boats? I heard that the earlier ones were based on 91-94 MC 190s, not sure if that is real or a rumor. Thanks!
  11. Thanks @vtmecheng and @USSkier! I figured that was the case.
  12. here is a link: I'm guessing this is the wake set-up: https://seattle.craigslist.org/est/bod/d/bellevue-clean-2005-malibu-sunsetter-21/6921873256.html
  13. are there better years of sunsetters? there is a 2005 for sale near me that might work for me.
  14. from what I understand 02-05 if they have the excalibur engine can be converted to ZO but it is a 3-5k expense
  15. @bananaron I reached out to the guy in Idaho - but he never responded. I'll try again soon. Looks like a sweet boat, well maintained and would be a great buy. I'll see if I can contact him but so far no word. @adkh2oskier thanks for the input and price info. My thought process for now is I'm going to keep looking at boats. If the boat I've been looking at could be purchased for around 20K I may still take it and then upgrade it with stargazer/z-box. I realize it still isn't ZO but would probably be good enough for me. @Shark thanks for the opinion and advice. I certainly hope to find a good ZO boat and for sure I need a new ski! That is next of course... I've been away from skiing for the past several years - mostly due to geography. I've got an older connelly F1, I loved it when I was skiing regularly but now that I'll be back in the NW I'm thinking Radar senate. more decisions to make...
  16. @vtjc: thanks again! You are a fountain of info. I thought I had my boat - thanks to @jpattigr but then he pulled the rug out from under me! But I totally understand, and the search continues. I still may pull the trigger on the boat I've been looking at, if he comes down a bit in price. It is well maintained with low hours and overall is a great boat. It really comes down to price. I can always upgrade the PP, I realize it will never by ZO but at my level it may not matter. I'll also keep looking for newer boats or other good deals!
  17. thanks again everyone for the opinions and info. Hard part seems to be patient and find the right deal for the right boat. PP or ZO or PP/z-box, at my level something is better than nothing. Hopefully of the two boats I'm looking at maybe one becomes the right deal otherwise I will hold out. thanks
  18. @powbmps I have not skied behind a zero-off boat. frankly most of the boats I learned to ski behind had nothing. My last boat - 1995 prostar 205 had nothing and I loved it but I certainly wished I had some speed control. I certainly wouldn't turn down a pull because the boat doesn't have ZO. The boat I have been looking at is more than enough for my needs, I can always upgrade it to the latest PP/stargazer/z-box. It will honestly come down to price. He seems to be asking a premium based on no objective data. I did find another one not too far for closer to 22K, has a few more hours but otherwise is the same. Hopefully I can get in to one of these for closer to 20K. If I get lucky and find the "right" boat with ZO I'd certainly jump on it. It does seem that the latest edition of z-box is much better. If I ever get that serious I would probably also buy a newer boat. For now I can't justify spending big big bucks on a depreciating asset. At least we aren't talking surf boats, those are crazy money.
  19. anyone in the Denver area want to check out a boat for me? https://www.onlyinboards.com/2009-Nautique-196-LE-for-sale-Denver-Colorado-88251.aspx
  20. Thanks again for the advice, I'm sure I'm not the first to ask these questions, but thanks again!
  21. I've never been on or skied behind a centurion. Nothing against them, I just know nothing about them. I've been behind the other 3. Maybe I should consider it!
  22. or this one: http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Boat_3Event&postid=50888 dammit, I was all ready to go but now I want zero off or pay way less than he is asking
