  1. I just went from a masterline DLX (non-optimized) to the S-lines Competition Series (medium stretch) and it felt great right away.
  2. @75Tique I think @lpskier was at a different site, not Robin Lake.
  3. Another gripe: apparently Nautique can’t even keep TP stocked in the porta according to JP instagram. Glad Freddie didn’t have to deal with that.

  5. We definitely have to make repairs, I think this year I will try an anchored buoy to not make things more complicated with the floating course. Thank you all for the help! Which rangefinder is good to use for measuring?
  6. Thank you all for the comments. I should have stated that I do not think there is enough room with the existing anchors/mainline, but I will need to double check as we start getting that stuff ready for the season. It would definitely be easiest in terms of accuracy and set/tup takedown if our mainline and anchor points are long enough to accommodate. Seems like it might also not be hard to add pre-gate segments. Good stuff!
  7. Looking for some advice on how to easily add 55’s to a floating course on my river. Not having pre-gates isn’t the end of the world but I think it would be very useful and helpful for our group. Any ideas are helpful!
  8. Flew on United this April with both my water ski and alpine skis (great trip to California!) and even utilized their free boot bag policy. Maybe consider removing your bindings and throwing them in another bag as a boot bag and stuff clothes in there as well to pack light!
  9. Curious who people like to watch for LFF gates- I like the Joel's... https://www.instagram.com/p/CgGuB7iryib/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CoDNBCIjx-1/
  10. if you have a good cover already, maybe take it to a local upholsterer and have them add some waterline skirts? I'm sure they could find a way to make them removable with snaps or zipper.
  11. I don't want to drum up more drama or anything, but I interpreted his comments on Nautique and IWWF as Nautique trying to not allow him in events they where their boats were pulling? In an already small, niche sport, that just seems in bad taste. Kudos to Freddie for being respectful and careful with his words.
  12. And what is the story with Freddie and Nautique? That didn't seem clear to me in the podcast. Freddie is my favorite pro skier and this sounds really shitty for him, huge bummer.
  13. First sets of the year on my annual trip out to the Palm Springs area thanks to @leeski Third year in a row skiing with Eric and it’s always a massively fun time! Now time to get the boat out in Vermont, it’s 80 degrees here today! https://youtu.be/_dScHk70nN0
  14. It's been a tough winter in Vermont where I run a nordic ski center but now we finally have some snow. However, I am ready for water ski season. Maybe in a month or so if were lucky here... But its been a fun winter, im down 10lbs, ive been lifting a lot (and skiing and running), and did a little bit of my old sport last weekend, never tried it on water though! Gonna be another good water ski season!
  15. The top piece of the pylon breaking was bizarre! Has that happened before?
  16. FWIW I run a different boot, radar vapor, but I leave the top laces very loose. I snug them up a little bit, but the boot is laterally stiff and supportive that I feel secure and know I will release every time. I highly recommend the vapor boot.
  17. Darn! Pulling for @JoelHowley and hope we see him again soon
  18. Anyone have eyes on this? Is 41 going to happen for Howley?
  19. My ski partner has the monsoon with the similar manifolds and also uses JB weld with great success. I think he is on his third summer with the JB weld repair and they are holding strong.
  20. maybe it has something to do with him skiing through Australian winter and sitting in a rigged up bathtub with a propane heater to stay warm between sets
  21. it would be so cool to see Joel run 41... really anyone new to 41, but something has me rooting for Howley.
  22. Great job with the webcast, looking forward to seeing Joel Howley after his hiatus!
  23. Is Joel Howley going to be there? He indicated so on an instagram post a while back, it would be so great to see him there!
