  1. @Wish thank you so much for the input and thoughts. I too had read about the ski from Horton’s review and I jumped at the chance to buy one this spring on ski-it-again. Almost thought it was a scam because they were only $125. I should probably keep riding this for the rest of the season, get some good coaching, and maybe upgrade next year. I’d like to try some new skis before buying, but its a bit hard up here in Vermont! Cheers
  2. @Wish the person I bought it from has them for sale on ski-it-again for a screaming deal of $125, new in box, although he might be limited on sizes now. I have the ski set-up at Horton’s settings from another thread about the ski. It feels better at higher speeds than it did at 28pmh, I’m curious if a 66 is still a bit too small for me.
  3. I am currently skiing on a 2018 66 O’Brien Conquer which feels decent. I am 6’ and 175lbs and am running between 15’ off at 34mph and 36mph which has been a big progression as I started the year at 28mph. I think I’d like to upgrade my ski, should I be on a 67? Should I be on a high-end ski or midrange? Thanks ballers!
  4. @vtjc I was curious if anyone else saw those boats, I was almost willing to pull the trigger and bid on the 196 since the posting kept getting relisted with no bids.
  5. I am in search of a mooring cover for my 2002 Malibu Sportster. I recently found a Malibu OEM cover for the Response on ebay and it seems promising given that my boat is only 4 inches narrower. Is this a dumb idea? I currently have a pretty cheap trailering cover that works okay, but not as well as I would like. Thanks ballers! 6. @C5Quest Absolutely! The course is about a mile south of downtown Brattleboro, so a couple miles down river of the route 9 bridge. Even though were on a river, boat traffic is small so conditions at the course site are often very good at all times of the day. Shoot me a message next time you come through!
  7. Thanks @ALPJr . The CT river is an awesome ski spot, we have a course about a mile south of downtown Brattleboro. Not much boat traffic and the current is usually nonexistent except after rainfall. Give a shout if you are ever back in the area and want to do some skiing!
  8. New ski rack in my little river cabin, an old shed turned bunkhouse! Next will be refinishing my teak platform. Perfect Pass is on its way from Canada, so hope to get that installed next week! Also psyched for my new O’Brien Conquer on the bottom rack...
  9. Thanks @The_Krista, that is the place I heard of from my brother. Looks beautiful!
  10. Hi ballers, I need some warm weather and some skiing after this Vermont winter. My brother lives and works in La Quinta, California and I would like to visit him. Is there anywhere I could pay for skiing sets nearby? Many thanks!
  11. @vtmecheng best friend has a 99 supra legacy. Tons of room inside the boat for people and gear. Does it have perfect pass? Shower? Heater? Friend's legacy also had a cat plate that could adjust the wake table. I really like skiing behind it, wake is nice and soft. Not tiny, but very soft.
  12. Thanks for the help all, went back out on my local course two nights ago and man, running passes at 30mph is getting easy. Tried a few at 32pmh, amazing how some more speed changes things...
  13. First season in the course, finally running consistently 15 off at 30mph. Posted some video. To me, its obvious I need to work on strength training and the stack position, but hoping some fresh eyes can help with some cues for the next outing! Also, for anyone wondering about the yelling at the end, I lost count of the buoys and was going for a 7th.... haha Cheers!
  14. Hi everyone, I have been an avid reader of BOS since this april when I purchased a new-to-me low-hour 2002 Malibu Sportster. Learned to ski in my youth in Lake Placid, NY and started skiing regularly a few years ago behind a Sea-Ray, now breaking bad habits and beginning to run the course at 32pmh 15off. Always looking to find some new ski pals to tow who are also good drivers. No perfect pass yet, but will get next year! Located in Brattleboro, VT right on the river which has a course and tons of great open water that is always calm. Cheers, Spencer
