  1. Not sure if the Subi Assent is available in your area. It has a 5k towing and towing assit tech build into it. Here is a video testing it with a Airstream:
  2. This is one of the most trusted site for monitoring covid-19 cases: https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/ Direct Link to Interactive Map: https://www.arcgis.com/apps/opsdashboard/index.html#/bda7594740fd40299423467b48e9ecf6
  3. I was just talking with my godmother who lives in England. She is doing well but this was one comment that stuck out: "Everyone is concerned and some panicky - Having lived through one war I am mentally equipped better than others" She was down in the tube when above was getting bombed. Being asked to stay at home does not seem to much to ask. I do not mean to downplay the economic cost of this and I hope that there are ways that business owners can get compensation. I have been following this since Jan and only looking at peer reviewed and evidenced based reports. It has been hard to watch things unfold when we knew what was going to happen and most countries were just being reactive and not proactive (still the case). I cannot imagine being in Italy and losing a loved one and not being able to have a funeral. This is a common thing now, if we do not stop doing 1/2 measures North America is going to follow Italy more than South Korea. Again not a time to panic as most 80% will have mild symptoms.
  4. I would not recommend this for your and more importantly everyone else safety. Stopping is the biggest concern and panic situations. You should never max out you towing and you have to factor a tank of gas in the boat also.
  5. @horton Valid point. As most data suggests most will be fine 80% with mild symptoms. The social distancing and isolation is to lower the spread. There is no need for panic. I'm more worried about the economic impact for business owners. Even if we flatten the curve and do not stress hospitals business owners have a rough next 6 months. I hope that governments help support them.
  6. @Horton @aupatking It is not just the elderly that are affected some as young as 40 are having some serious issues in Italy. Yes the risk is higher with people that are older and have conditions but anyone with conditions is at a higher risk and even healthy people are a risk (albeit MUCH much lower). I do agree that the Case Fatality Rate is going to lower but that it also going to be affected by the health care that is available for those that need it. In Italy now the systems are being overrun. This is going to happen elsewhere unless countries do comprehensive measures as suggested by the WHO. This is not to say we should be in panic mode, but it is a very serious issue that should be considered as such. Not saying that was the intent of the post but lots of people are thinking this is just the flu and not a big deal and that is not the case.
  7. We are up in a northern cottage area in Ontario, went into the store yesterday in town (Haliburton) and there were a few items that we empty but they had lots of TP, soap and cleaning supplies. I do not think that have hand sanitizer as that has been out for a while as I do not think they typically order that stuff. The stock guy was saying how they are doing summer orders of some stuff (winter time is a slow season as lakes are all ice). Most people were chill. When I saw the clips from the city last week it made me think we are f'cked when a virus comes a long that just kills everyone that gets it. I mean people are fighting over TP.
  8. Having a look at the configurator site (https://ultimator.snapon.com/). It would seem lots of people go WAY beyond the 31k. I prefer the cleaner boxes.
  9. As as a watch guy I never thought I would see a Hodinkee post linked here.., love the watch.
  10. @ihoover If this is your pump can you restrict the flow from the pump so you can still do it full flow and no hand cramp. It does sound like a air trap of some sort that would cause the gas to come back.
  11. @MNshortliner What type foam and are you taping it permatally to the hose so you can move from tank to tank?
  12. Head over to MC TeamTalk forum if you have not yet and look over there. Many threads about Cool Feel and some of the issues that some have had, harder to clean and some having popping issues (could be older models). Others have had good success with it. From what I have read the tech works well but I think would suit all day boating (large wake boats) more that what a typical ski boat would see.
  13. How can you have this many boats worth the money that they are and not protect them better. Just simple hitch locks would have slowed people down. Would think you would have security cameras etc. I also agree that this must be a large job with many trucks. Heck put large cement blocks to block the doors. Boot the trailer tires, take the wheel off, these boats are sitting for months and there are so many simple ways to protect them.
  14. This was a harsh image to see early in the morning with little coffee....I agree we need an unsee button
  15. @Gloersen oh I see nothing to major just wanted to try something new.... all kidding aside congrats on trying the switch.
  16. @Gloersen why did you switch to RFF?
  17. I think that most people are concerned with not just one incident but the pattern that was shown. The text msgs and comments in those seem like the action of a predator. I get the culture that exists today and do not like it. It is easy to create a narrative to fit a story and then repeat it and get people to just read your version to become the truth (not saying this happened here) Having said that even thou I'm new here this is a group of people that send their kids to camps with coaches etc and seeing some of this behavior scares the crap out of them (as it should) and cuts a lot closer to home.
  18. Due to our 1st ski boat we bought in the fall and could not use as it went into storage this winter is feeling particularly long. The longer days are awesome. But we have not even had "ice in" let alone "ice out" on the lake. Going to be a long few months coming.... Going to be researching dry suits this Jan :)
  19. Congrats! I will be starting next year to run the course, I hope to be able to before the end of the season.
  20. I just updated the my post above to make the images clickable to high rez photos. There was a guy who posted his Sanger Outboard that was blue and gorgeous in another thread.
  21. A little off topic but when we did a test drive of the boat we ended up buying in the fall this was parked at one of the docks. Not it the best shape but looks to be doing the job.
  22. @lakeho26 When we did a test run we hit 46 and then it stayed put, this was with 3 people in the boat but my wife is not very big, not sure how much gas was in the tank.
