  1. Are there any of the newer skis that ski like the older Goode 9100 and 9500? For me, these were the skis that allowed me to get to very short line (38 off when 52yo) I have not liked the newer Goodes, but I am also skiing 32mph and now M9 at 30mph and I don't think their lineup is for skiers like me. One question: Are the newer skies designed for more counter rotation as than is not my style? I'd appreciate any feed back. Started trying an 2yo Senate Pro for last two months, not sure I'm liking it very much.

A friend of mine, George Levien: George is 210 lbs. on a 68 1/2 9970 He skies deep 38 at 32mph
  3. Has anyone seen a running order of contestants? Why not quit all the bickering about who's invited and just go watch what should be a fun tournament. Next year if someone wants to have a different format then go for it! The women still have some pro stops left to ski and I look forward to watching them as well! It's been a tough year guys, let's enjoy the moment!
  4. What do you all think about this ski at 32mph or 30mph? Probably not out there long enough for that feed back.
  5. Is the 2020 or 2021 Senate Pro much different that the 2018 or 2019 model? I've been on (I think:2019, 67 in.) and it skis really good if I stay right over the binders. If I get on the front just a little, it doesn't like it. If I get on the back, it doesn't like it. I'm an experienced skier( over 20 nationals) and have moved binders, fin, etc, but I need a ski that lets me get on the front. I skied Goodes for over 20 years and the 9500 was the best ever. I don't like the newer goode skis at 32mph and now 30 mph this coming year. In my hay day I could run 38 off, now 75, couple hip replacements have slowed me down. Just getting back into it, running 22, 28, working on my 32's at 32mph. I will not go to 30mph until I'm running my 32's at 32. Mouth full!
  6. It would be great for us watching the webcast to get more information on skier bios regarding skis, model, length, Zero off preferred setting. I realize many are affiliated with brands, but the rest would be interesting to know.
  7. Are the ropes at Regional and Nationals stretched(skied a few times) before being used? Having bought a couple of the new stretch ropes, including the last ML2.0, I would not want to be the first skier out on a brand new rope! Not criticizing the manufacturer!
  8. Postal service. $25 any box size plus a few dollars for insurance. Might take 4 or 5 days but not a problem unless needed over night. I shipped one in FL, took 3 days.
  9. Maybe it's my internet, the live feed is intermittent.Started out fine in the morning but got worse as the day went on. See a skier at the gates then the 4 ball and out the gate. Miss everything in between. Just me or any others have problems? Most of the problem was on lake 1 video.
  10. Go to walmart and try on some cheap roller blade bindings. I've bought blades for under $50.00 and used the liner. I've done this for last 15 yrs. They will last 3 to 5 years. Just a quick solution!
  11. Jeff still using rubber bindings!
  12. I may have misread the USA rules, but I thought the skier had an option to type of rope. Not the brand (ML), but stretch rope vrs. older style. Personally, I add buoys when I use the old style, feel like the 2.0 is a rubber band. Totally dislike it! Also, now you have to spend another $135 for ml rope! I like ML ropes and my last 4 have been ML, just not the 2.0
  13. I've had last years and this years (2.0) and hated both. Went back to older ML I don't like the rope stretching on me!
  14. Hey Rob: Trying a pro senate this weekend. 67 inch using stock settings. If you are on a 67 could you give me your binding and fin settings. Ski feels like I need to go forward a little on binding.
  15. Good news, she cranks right up now. Just needed to clean all the contacts. Need to remember to crack the motor hood after skiing. On a down note, I got ready to ski and couldn't stop thinking about an old friend George Tracy who lost his life yesterday when his head went thru the handle. Decided my head wasn't in it and took a pass on skiing, just an empty feeling in my stomach. Tomorrow is another day, everyone ski safely!
  16. I've known and competed against George for over 30 years. We all used to get together after tournaments and get a bite to eat and just have fun. He was an easy going person and I will miss him! Life can hit you hard when you least expect it. The sad part about getting into your mid 70's is seeing your friends leave this world. For several years I've just used a couple zip ties and a piece of rope installed across the middle of my handle to prevent what happened to George. There have been others over the last 7 yr where this has happened. RIP George and I'm praying for you, sure we'll meet again some day.
  17. Just cleaned all terminals, saw some that had a green tint. Took a dremel with wire brush and cleaned all connections, including where attached to engine block, starter and battery.. I hit the start button and it seemed like it wanted to start immediately. Boat is in garage so shut it off instantly, will see when I ski tomorrow.Yes, new marine "start"battery. Thanks for all the input, will let you know tomorrow.
  18. Going to do all UWskier suggestions today. Voltage is up at 14. Boat has 365 hrs. Just normal turn off, skier getting into boat, etc. It's a 2017 200
  19. The motor starts but seems like it takes effort to turn over. I thought maybe a bad battery so put in a new one, no difference. Today, after shutting off the engine to let skier in the boat it would hardly turn over. Engine Temp was 160. I'll check all connections tomorrow. Anyone else had any experience with this problem?
  20. Is the 67 in measured across the bottom or the chord? I bought a 67in XTR early in the year and it felt small for 32mph. I measured it against my Nano 1 66 3/4 and the xtr was an inch shorter! Anyone's thoughts for xtrcc or xtr at 32 mph? Skiing -32
  21. Goode tech data says 67inch bindings at 29 1/16 in. That's way up from where you had it!
  22. Hey Rob, I better come down and take a lesson from you!
