Logically, to me anyway, it looks like this handle design might keep a skier on the handle longer with both hands before releasing prior to the buoy. Not necessarily a bad thing .
I remember seeing a T-shaped handle in an old AWSA magazine many many many moons ago. Literally was a T shape. About only thing that appeared safe about it is you wouldn't be able to catch a head in it. Looked like one heck of a projectile though!
I'm sure someone will run with this as "Best fin system ever"! Unless O'Brien jumps back into the actual Competition ski market is nothing but B.S. No longer a need for Mach 3+ and leaky hydraulics parts.....
For those iactually nterested in ski tuning there is a short section in the "Slalom with Andy Mapple" DVD produced by Gordon Rathbun about ski tuning. It gets into the why and how's of bevel tuning. Excellent information.
As I remember it, someone I might know skied past an Easter morning church service at the swimming beach in the buff behind a Nautique in about 1972. Streaking was a thing back then. Boy, was my Pop pissed!!!! 😂
@lpskier Cool! First I've seen of it. I thought it must be 3D. I remember when (somebody)? tested the swappable tail pieces ski. I made a comment about a piece like that to add surface area but was poo-pooed in so many words.....
Can't say enough nice things about my 67" LP1! I was worried it would be too small for me at Men 7 speed as I am 6' 194 lbs., but it has taken me through rope lengths I haven't managed in years. Enjoy!
@Rednucleus Hard to say, by the time I arrived at the canting combo I liked the 22 season was winding down and getting cold. Didn't really push it much. The 2023 season is now over with an inch of ice on the lake.
