  1. @Bdecker - what are the stock settings for the 67? They don't seem to be on the Radar website. I have access to a 2022 to try, just want to start with stock settings (I'm on a 2021 currently).
  2. @Horton - Yes there is. The indent you see in the photo I posted is not on the 2021 Hull (unless one of the last ones made had it). It's new for 2022. Dave's 2021 did not have that indent...
  3. @skistrom - Checked with the owner, it's Jetstream blue.
  4. @skistrom - looks like Kahuna. See colors on page 1 of this thread.
  5. Besides the colors, there is one change to the hull. A new recess near the rear of the boat. Lou Alcamo told our Promo guy that it's to help with low speed handling and has no effect on wake or tracking. I took this photo of his new hull at the dealer a couple of days ago.
  6. @Horton - Mid recommended, Regular okay to use unless the boat is heavily laden (not the case for 3-event). I have a 16 ProStar and regular is okay. The new 6.0 Ilmor says any grade but premium recommended for best performance. We used premium.
  7. I don't think the comparisons of top speed or 0-60/quarter mile times says anything relevant here. For those types of runs, the engine rpm is running through max torque and HP levels where pulled timing would undoubtedly make a difference. We ski at a steady mid RPM (much lower than either max torque or HP). I'm not ruling out that there might be a difference, but I believe it would be subtle at best. That said, here at Okeeheelee tournaments, we purchase the recommended fuel for the boats used on our tournaments. I have been chief driver for all but one tournament this year (and handled the fuel ordering for the other one) and have specified premium for the Nautique and Mid-Grade for the other boats as recommended by the manufacturers.
  8. I'm with @Bruce_Butterfield on this. The biggest change was holding onto the handle LONGER and slowing down the turn a bit. I didn't change ski length (yet).
  9. You should be fine. I have 475 hours on my 2016 without issues. My ski partner also has an X ski school 2016 with more than 1100 hours on it and is also fine. Yes, the mounts are expensive... I had one set replaced under warranty, but the next set is on me (can't wait).
  10. I use the Radar foot beds in my Reflex bindings (R-Series rear) without issues.
  11. Skied 2 sets at Okeeheelee today. Water 69, Air 75.
  12. I switched after reading the KLP article when he switched. Pretty sure he set all his world records before the switch though.
  13. @jrs can probably answer most questions as I believe he has been skiing with the club since before the Park lakes where dug.
  14. I drove Becky Lathrop's boat with this system a couple of weeks ago. I had no trouble staying within tolerance in the course (which with this system incudes the 55m buoys). What I found to be the most helpful is the breadcrumb playback which will show you where/when/how much you're picking up the skier. In my opinion, this system will help a not so great driver get better very quickly. It will help an accomplished driver "fine tune" their driving. I liked what I saw and am looking forward to tournament season! Four of the skiers I drive for regularly, including @scoke, have purchased the system, so I'll get some good practice in before then :)
  15. He's the 1st Open skier I ever pulled in a record tournament. He ran 1.5@41. I have pulled him 11 rounds to date and he's run 39 in 10 of them. Awesome skier! Glad to see him back from injury ?
  16. @vtmecheng - I use this holder. Works way better than the one that comes with it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01L3B5PBI?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
  17. I have an early build 16 Prostar with dual pucks. I have yet to have a problem (390 hours) and I can't tell the difference when I ski a Prostar with a single puck. Not spending the money until it either fails or a software change makes them feel different.
  18. @Horton - Mine is a 16 with 390 hours and it's never happened to me either.
  19. Pretty simple rules at Okeeheelee. Order is by boat rotation. 6 passes or 15 minutes in a lake, whichever comes first (you can fall every pass). Club membership is not required (I guess some can't afford the $25.00/year).
  20. @escmanaze - IE: rope hanging at gas cap. Today, my ski partner who has a Prostar and me (also with a Prostar) tried to get the rope to hang at the gas cap indent without success. We went so far as to make sure the rope dropped into the indent, but it still just slid right out without the slightest hang. Not sure why you were having an issue there since all the Prostar boats from 14 to 20 are the same in the gas cap area. Maybe something was wrong with that particular boat? The only time I ever see the rope hang with this boat is if the boat gets angled such that the rope gets caught under the edge of the platform...
  21. I attended the reveal at Action Watersports and skied and drove the new boat. I thought the wakes were unchanged (Men 7, 28, 32 and 35). I was lucky enough to drive for Freddie Winter, 32 through 39 and it's another step up in tracking. I'd have to drive it more and probably back to back with the new Nautique, but my impression was that it was on the same level as Becky Lathrop's Nautique which is outstanding.
  22. @Bdecker - didn't notice anything though there is no turn island there. Boat felt great!
  23. @FWinter - Not talking about the neutral interlock, talking about when you advance the throttle, all the boats the last few years have a stop at about 90 degrees. I could push this boat's throttle way past the normal stop area.
  24. Stole this photo from one of Horton's Facebook posts. Me about to pull Freddie with our West Palm (Okeeheelee) Promo owner Dave James observing.
  25. @jjackkrash - by throttle stop, I mean when you advance the throttle, all the current boats have a stop at about 90 degrees of throttle. I did not detect any stop at all on the 2021 boat. Not an issue, just unexpected...
