    NRG?

jhughes, let us know how you progress on this ski. I am skiing on one, it is a very interesting ski. My current ski is a 16 Vapor, this ski is very different. I find that it is much easier to get connected on the NRG but I am not very consistent, 3 good buoys 3 bad buoys. The bad always starts with the ski flipping on a hard edge and leaving my butt behind on my good side. Lol The off side is magic! I am on a 68" 30.25 Fin- 2.470, 9.950, and .75 wing-8. Johnny

  10. Needle-nose pliers + patience. Turn and pull until clear, then inspect the bushing. Next, a light flogging:)
  11. I skied on an Elite, it was very hard to stay balanced. It was the fastest ski I have ever skied on. I believe skidawg rode it very well.
  12. I have my RTP very tight. I have to jam my foot hard to get it all the way in, (if you miss you will cut between your two smallest toes). My rear foot will cramp if I leave it in for a whole set. I take my foot out occasionally during practice but not during a tournament set.
  13. I have had this pain in varying degrees over the years. Three years ago it was very sore( it hurt and made it hard to sleep) ,just before our September tournament I was coming off 2 ball, which is my offside and felt like someone hit me in the hip. I got on the platform and determined that my hip was not stable. I went to my orthopedist did an MRI and found out that I had torn my IT band. It ended my season. I let it heal and rehabbed over the winter. It is strong now but if I get on my back foot--- it gets very very sore. I went back to a toe loop on my back leg to try to help, its the same as with a back boot. I'm getting old:(
  14. "Tighten up", Then "Boat Driver" I'm from the Southern region .Vic Varallo taught us to use those phrases.
  15. I skied a couple sets with Chris LaPoint this week, wow what an awesome coach. I have tried Rossi, Rini, and KC. fin numbers, they all worked ok. As I got in the boat After the first set with CL , he said " I don't like your ski setup". He explained that for skiers over 170 lbs, long and shallow setting don't usually work very well. He said that bigger guys overpower the shallow fin and the ski flattens out off the second wake causing the the ski to lose direction. (go straight to the buoy) . CL did his magic and wow, much better direction and way more acceleration. I will post my new numbers tomorrow. I highly recommend Chris LaPoint .
  16. I'm 5'10 , 208 and am on a 68". I've tried The Rossi #,s and they were ok,,tried Horton,s (.748)dft great on side, bad offside for me. I then tried the new Rossi #,s (.755) dft. The ski felt unstable and turney to me. Last night I tried the Rini #'s and really liked them, I had a lot of space before the balls on both sides.
  17. Interesting comments. I tried the .748 dft and 6.960 length, 2.2465 depth ,at this setting the on side was great (balanced and smooth as butter) but I could not turn the off side. I'm not skiing bad on the first numbers but if I could get the best of both, as JH said BOOM!! Thanks for the help.

  19. Humm, I'm skiing own a 68" Vapor - binding, 30.25, 2.460, 6.965, .735. My off side is good, but my 1,3,5 (lff) is very loose (harder to stay balanced and easier to over turn). Should I try ChrisRossi's new settings and what will the move to .755 do ?

  21. What settings are you using now?
  22. Just a heads up; If it is a 10 member club and not the lake owners that you are insuring, it is a different animal to underwrite .
