  1. Thanks for the comments. I wonder what the differences in feel would be between up and down?
  2. On the Elite, wing up or down. What do feel the differences are? I am skiing with no wing now.
  3. I ski on a 68.5 Elite. When the water got cold last season I took the wing off and so far this season have left it off.  Skied Goods before and always had to have a wing. I feel little difference in the Elite with or without a wing . May need one at very short line-- I don't know.

    FUNNY

Me too! I hate to admit that I am from Tennesse after seeing the video.[ Notice the hat.]
  5. I took my wing off yesterday-I was running it @8 upsidedown. Conditions were cool in Tennessee, my eighth and last set for the season. I felt very little difference in the ski without the wing, maybe a bit more balanced. I ran only 22 and 28.   I would like to here other comments on skiing w/o a wing on this ski.   Thanks!
  6. Loft,   I assume , given your measurements that your ski is actually a 67. Is that how you read it?
  7. Thanks for the information. I am looking at the Adrenaline suit based on these comments.
  8. Ok, now I have a new ski,but I am a wimp when it comes to skiing in cold water. What kind of drysuit is best  for slalom? ( baggy or tight) Any disscussion on this topic would be helpful.

Sorry Mattp, we ski in Tennessee. My daughter plays soccer in college so we travel where they go.

Loft,    Thanks. I didn't know you jumpers hung around slalom boards,I'll try closer to .800 but I thought that would make the ski more aggressive on my heel side. Excited about this ski--- maybe Monday?    Now off to Atlanta to watch soccer!

dsmart  I tried your numbers on my 2nd set. I ran straight through 35 then went back to 28. The ski seemed to be too aggressive ,more so as the line got shorter. My 35 was ugly;I over turned 4 of the 6 turns but 32 was awesome. I may just need to get some time on the ski and learn to be calm at 35. The ski is wicked fast and makes tight radius turns with speed like no other (turn is one motion).   Any suggestions? Are you on a 68.5?

Thanks! If it doesn't rain today, I will try those numbers, however we have a flashflood warning today.

First ride on demo 68.5 Elite. Fin and bindings stock-- 30" 6.855, 2.510, .795 I am 5'11" 218.  The ski felt twitchy on my first 22 pass; then ran 5 passes @28 and 1pass@32. Each pass got more stable as I learned you must do less with this ski. It takes less effort to get width and the turns are the same on both sides.  I have never gotten as wide skiing on my current sixam ss nor have I ever gotten such a good off side(toe side) turn.  I cannot wait for set #2!
  15. Try Aquacide. This product is a 2-4D product.  Call me for more information. 423-253-4061. Johnny
  16. Thanks! I will try tonight. JohnnyÂÂÂÂ
  17. The blue fin is the standard Goode fin. JohnnyÂÂÂÂ
  18. I tried the blue fin @ standard settings. The ski was harder to stay balanced on, the on side turn 1-3-5- was awesome but the offside 2-4-6 was bad. The ski wanted to straight at the bouy , no turn without forcing it.    With the schnitz slot 2-4-6 is good but the ski wants to rise on the 1-3-5 side.    I am left foot foward and am running 35-38 off. HELP!     Thanks ÂÂÂÂ
  19.  I have been ridding a 68.5 9800 for 2 months and am struggling a bit. I am using a schnitz slot fin @ standard settings. Its very stable but I cannot get a good onside turn.   I am going to change to the standard fin ; would you guys mind sharing your fin setting ? ThanksÂÂÂÂ
