  1. It's funny, I had a tourney at my place Saturday. We pulled it w/ a MC with ZO. I'd say 80% of the people skied well below their average. Only 5 or so skiers got scores they were happy about. Some of the guys that were there absolutely hate ZO. My scores were off a full pass but I'm not a hater of it. I think it just requires more refined technique, which is something I hope to do anyway.
  2. Bill, mine is 2200'X230'X7'.
  3. Bill, how much does it cost to treat a lake with greenclean pro? Also, is there a dye that gives the water a more natural color than the bright blues I typically see while still blocking sunlight? thanks
  4. I forgot about that. I guess everyone may as well ski ZO at this point.
  5. Has anybody used these for an 08 mastercraft 197 TT? For 34 N they say pregate, .9  ball 1, 16  ball 3, 15 for 34 L they recommend .5, 10, and 2 A friend has this boat but has never used the SG. We were considering using it for a tournament so skiers could have their pick of SG or ZO. Any thoughts? What is the weight cutoff for light and normal? would I still have to play around with crew weight to get good times? thanks
  6. dude, looks like the water quality at your lake helps the bikini quotient too....dad gum
  7. sjholbert, what does your algae look like? MS and JD, All the pics I have seen on the net show filimentous to be green when it is floating. I think when mine floats to the surface it is already dead. There is nothing green left on it at that point. It's just a loosely held together thin mat kinda like cottage cheese that is the color of the mud on the lake bottom. Does that sound like filimentous?
  8. cool, the farmer's co-op next door has cutrine plus. MS, what kind of spray rig should I use? Did you dilute it or spray it straight?
  9. thanks guys. will try the cutrine plus. is it safe to ski right after application?
  10. It's not long and stringy. It's kinda like a mat. only a half inch thick at most.
  11. I skied a set on my warp (which has a 106 CBR monza fin) w/o a wing. It didn't feel much different except it was a little bit unstable. Anyhow I didn't feel the need to change anything else about the setup. On the other hand, the Radar MPD that I have been riding lately has an aluminum fin. It seems like it would be radically different if I took the wing off it. That makes me wonder if skiing w/o a wing is more likely to work with a carbon fin? Horton?
  12. it isn't dyed and it's very clear this summer. how much does dying cost?
  13. I have some kind of algae growing in my lake. It carpets the bottom in a layer about 1/4" thick. After a while it breaks loose in pieces and floats to the surface. When you swat the pieces or ski through them they just disappear into a cloud of mud. I have talked to a couple of experts about it. One says it is called "benthic oscillatoria". The other says he can treat it for about $5000 but can't garauntee how long it will work. It doesn't clog up the prop or the ski. It just looks nasty. Does anybody know how to get rid of it w/o spending a fortune? Thanks
  14. Cory Pickos is probably the closest. Do know the address but I'm sure he has a website.
  15. what is she talking about when she says ZO gives a pull that can be dangerous?
  16. Thanks for all the suggestions. As far as impact on my ski frequency this is definitely a bummer. Worse than the tendonitis a few years ago. mopowpow, tried your stretch. it feels like it stretches my hamstrings which I have been doing although in a different way. Anyhow, stretching them has definitely relieved the pain. Now if I can just keep it from coming back.
  17. Some sloppy skiing over the last month has got my lower back hurting. Now, any hit at all makes it hurt enough that I can't ski for a couple of days. Anybody know any stretches or exercises to help this? Damn, I sure don't want to stop skiing because of this. I'm addicted to this sport more than I ever have been.
  18. ...other than that, you'll love it Just kidding/vanillaforum/js/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif
  19. I'm looking for a 106 and 116 Monza fin if anybody has one for sale. Also I have a barely used 106 redim for sale or trade. Thanks
  20. HOskishop.com has '07 monza's for $539 I believe
  21. I got P101 installed in my Nautique today. Didn't ski but I did drive one 55kph set. Seemed the same to me. The little bit slow 1,2,3,4,and 5 ball was definitely the same. I didn't tell the skier about the update and he didn't make any comments about different feel. With rev O I never felt anything funny coming off one ball and I never saw evidence of it if the virtual times are to be trusted. Zero Off if you're listening, your customer relations totally suck. Why the secrecy? All I heard during the MAsters webcast was how great Zero Off is. If you really gave a damn, you'd keep your customers in the loop.
  22. Skibug, was this happening even if the boat was showing to have good times?
  23. Roger, just making sure I understand. Are you saying that the jump program was doing something to affect the motor while running in slalom mode? thanks
  24. I e-amiled you yesterday but I will try again
  25. In the MC with ZO are the 1,2,3, and 4 ball times always a little on the slow side?
