  1. the zo update is a download. I skied it today. It's a definite improvement over the original version. On "a" it felt soft in a good way. My ski partner who is lot heavier than me really liked "c".
  2. Roger, sounds good. It's still iffy right now because things are getting busier at work. But I'll definitely give you a shout if I make it back. My name is Lindsay Burgreen. I live in north Alabama. We've not met but I think you were the guy that put me onto a used a fischer that your friend(John Shealy maybe) had for sale last fall. I didn't end up buying it however. Anyhow, thanks for the offer.
  3. Roger, I have been to Chet's 3 times this winter and hope to make it once more. Could I get a set with you at Okeehelee if I make it back down there? No pressure, but it would be nice to ski it if we could hookup. I have been there but I have never skied it. lkb
  4. I would like to. I have never qualified so I have to up my average first. Maybe this will be the year.
  5. Ed, I wasn't downing you or your products. If you are able to make money in the slalom world I'm happy for you. For some reason I just got tickled as I was scrolling down the list of topics looking for something to read and I realized there were so many links to your page. I apologize. Lindsay Burgreen
  6. $3000 for a Warp and they throw in a carbon fin for free
  7. Good one JTH. You gave me a laugh :-)
  8. looks fishy to me. is my computer going to blow up if I click that link?...you know that's not fair though...i'm sitting here w/nothing to do so the curiosity is eating at me...wth, I'm going to click it. You win. I blame all the above on winter. I am sick of not getting to ski. And, it seems to be getting worse each winter.
  9. wasn't that picture of Wim up this morning? It's gone now. Does Schnitz read this site?
  10. you're just mad because you were taken in :-)
  11. Personally I think the best feature of the Double powershell is simplicity of operation and the ability to try new skis w/o drilling holes in them. I think the durability issue with fogmans is that the plastic part surrounding the spring loaded pin and the "female" block that recieves that pin can wear and get too loose. I swithced to Powershells last fall and have had no problems except the shells themselves have developed cracks. Prior to the powershells, I was on fogmans for 4 1/2 seasons with only one minor injury(even that one may not have happened had it not been for an old injury).
  12. it was a joke. I thought it was kinda funny having dozens of links down the whole side of the page...like I said I was bored..no harm meant
  13. It's a sinlge hardshell system. The front is a voile. The heel release is the custom part. He didn't show me how it actually works. I just remember hearing him say he was tired of seeing his friends getting hurt because of the not-so-good release systems out there. That is all I know. lkb
  14. Kinda like and EZ-slalom or something. Problem is I don't know how to get in touch with the guy. Anybody know????? /vanillaforum/js/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif (sorry...It's a slow day at work and I'm bored of my a$$)
  15. MS, I think I can see system 8 on the ski top. Anyhow, that must be a pretty old picture. About three weeks ago he was on a black MPD and a reflex hardshell. His dad custom made the release for his boot. LKB
  16. I wasn't skiing when accuski was around, but I have heard several people(other than schnitz!) talk about how good it was. What was it that made it feel good?
  17. Brent, do you mean that w/o the switch it trys to maintain a constant rpm that is chosen based on corrections for wind, crew and skier weight? And it keeps this same rpm when you are loaded at the first wake and the same rpm when you are in the preturn?
  18. To maintain a certain speed, it 's just common sense that the speed controls have to react to the drag that a skier creates when he's on the pulling edge. ZO does it in a way that can definitely be heard. How does PP do it? Less throttle(not enough to hear) for a longer period of time? I have never heard it gas a skier in the course but it has to do something to correct for the extra drag when you load the ski.
  19. yeah, I may recant come summer when the water gets so hot you don't even want to get in it I'm heading south to Chet's at the end of this month...won't be a minute too soon...at the moment some of the biggest snowflakes I've ever seen are coming down in N. Alabama
  20. For the last month, I have been concentrating really hard on 2 fundamentals: 1.keeping my head over my hips and 2. doing everything I can possibly do to be in the proper position when the load comes. So far, working only on those 2 things makes me feel like changing the fin for temp. changes. is just not necessary. The ski has felt right in 75 deg. water and then in 50 deg. water too.
  21. Skibug, Can you give details of the accident? I know nothing other than his radar broke and he was severely injured. Is he a big guy? What line length was he at? 34 or 36? What kind of bindings? Did the ski break completely into? I'd like to know these things to help get a handle on my exposure to an accident like that. Thanks Lindsay Burgreen
  22.  I really wish that our sport could somehow produce a TRULY reliable, predictable and safe binding which among other things would instantly get you off a broken ski. Does anybody know for sure what kind of bindings Ed N. was using when the accident happened?
  23. there went my hope for a Warp 7/vanillaforum/js/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-frown.gif Merry Christmas/happy holidays to everyone!
  24. Is that a boat prop or the radiactive symbol ?

    Boat Wakes

the question about next year that worries me is speed control. what the heck are we going to do if we practice behind ZO and get pulled by PP at a tournament? Seems like there's definitely gonna be some unhappy campers out there. Is Stargazer approved for tourney use? If it's not I assume it will be since it's such an easy mod to PP
