  1. Avoiding floating logs help keep your eyes level while you turn rapidly. At least 4 lakes within 20 minutes of Toledo.
  2. Hmm, pumping a jiggly hose up and down myself or have Dallas Friday squeeze my tank with her thighs... It must be winter..
  3. Also found these when I was looking around, get them and put your own hose on them... Brass jigglers
  4. I think have had a Wonder jiggler with a blue hose that I can't remember how many years I have had it. Probably 20+ as a guess. Still sucks after all these years, hose is fine, but it hangs in my garage out of the sun. I think this might be it. Blue Jiggler
  5. I go back and forth between the HRTP and a Vapor boot, depending on what ski I am riding. I really don't feel much difference between them, not like when I tried a standard RTP. I put way too much weight on my front foot and actually felt like I was sliding on the top of the wakes. Didn't ski well at all. The problem I see for you is dragging a foot with the HRTP, as I start with both feet in. I thought about building up some small sidewalls behind a standard RTP so my heel didn't move side to side. I need it going up and down and wear my boot loose to allow this to happen as well. @Rw3 can you post a pic of your mod on the HRTP? the only thing I don't like about the HRTP is my foot lifts out of it in a fall or sometimes if I stuff a deepwater start, and I have to get on the platform to put it back on. I am just not flexible enough to get it done in the water any more. I ski equally bad in boot or HRTP, so no diference to me... :)
  6. My 2007 SN Excalibur is ZO DBW. Awesome pull vs PP I had in my previous '99 SN. No fussing with weight, wind, etc.. I could pull that system down quite a bit at 195-205 punds when i was in top shape, so when I jumped behind a ZO tournament boat, it was a big difference. If you just want to ski and not do tournaments, the PP should be a great system for you. If you ski tournaments, go ZO all the way. I have been contemplating upgrading to the single puck ZO system for my training buddy, because he and his daughter ski in tournaments. They both have gotten into 39 this past summer and have no issues behind my boat though... We use his new MC and my old tug boat and he scores the same. Not sure that would be the case if I had PP system..
  7. @Bruce_Butterfield just pass on those pesky donuts....
  8. @Horton ULL has won the last three. Could have made a case of them winning in 2020 as well without the virus lockdowns.

  10. @o2bnMaine - we feel your pain brother! @6balls we did the same thing once. Just popping buoys off at end of season in just above ice conditions. Weren't skiing so didn't have drysuit or anything in the boat, so just jumped in with underwear on. Luckily just a few wraps and no damage. Can you say shrinkage? Never went out without wetsuit gear after that!

  12. @jgills88 I heard BB had a back injury a while ago and maybe still recuperating? Her slalom was off her usual. Maybe someone else can confirm.

  14. Please disregard my posts on this subject so no one is side-tracked off topic.. I assumed someone was looking at D3 skis and thought I would provide some positive feedback on the NRG. @jayski D3 doesn't make a ski big enough for me so no, but wish they made the NRG in 69". I rode the 68" NRG for one quick set and noted that it really slowed into the turn and wanted to initiate the turns very well. My ski partner and son in law skied up to season average/better with more space ahead of the buoys on it off the dock. Maybe if I lost 70 pounds a 68" ski might work!
  15. Back when I was chasing ratings I would bump into Terry at Pelican or any of the other SE Michigan tournaments, because he was always there. Super nice guy. Bummer to hear. Hope he has a full recovery so he can get back on the water soon.
  16. I posted this in the other D3 too, but I won a new NRG from the Waterski Broadcast Company and it only comes in 68" and just a tiny bit short for me, so my son in law is using it after using my old 9500 for years (think poor Medical Resident) and he is skiing solid 28's at 32/34 mph skiing only about one weekend day a week at most. My training partner jumped on it and ran mid-38's both rounds. He was an old Quest skier until it basically self-destructed. We actually talked about that ski tonight on the lake. The 45 just wasn't the same and then they stopped making it. He really liked the NRG though, but took the wing down to 7 and had better run out. The NRG at stock really shuts down in the preturn and wants to turn on its own.
  17. Don't overlook the NRG. I won a NRG on the Waterski Broadcast Company a month or so ago on the audience contest. I was disappointed it only goes up to 68", while I did actually pull up on it, I am probably about 50 pounds over using it well. My son in law has upgraded from my old 9500 and even with his part time skiing, he is running some solid 28's at 32/34 mph and midway at 36 mph. My training partner swapped his bindings out on it and skied two rounds into mid-38 off the dock, bone stock settings, except took the wing down to 7 for second round and liked that a little better than stock.
  18. My buddy had both tires blow out towing his fishing boat. Low miles but tires were 7 or 8 years old. Imagine cost of winching a boat and trailer up on a flatbed sans tires! I have to imagine any SN trailer is probably running 225/75/R15 ST's and I have never seen a trailer tire in that size under 50 PSI. Maybe out there, just haven't seen them. I am over due on my tires, but keep getting slammed with other stuff on Saturdays. I hope to get mine replaced this weekend!
  19. Midwest Regional's big M3-M5 divisions looked to be down about 25% or little more...
  20. Lost me at Congressional "Leaders"....
  21. When you pull out to stop at the end of the lake, if you are coming in a little hot, what do you do to slow down? You don't jump on the front of the ski. In theory this makes some sense, but it sets up a two part turn. Watching top skiers, Regina, Whitney, and some of the men, their tips pop up and then they bring the tip back down and point across the wake. It is much easer to control and move around less ski in the water than 75% of it. Applying it in theory is much different than on the water after a lifetime of staying centered and tip down in smooth arcing turns.
  22. @Fatroll Your DFT sounds pretty skimpy for a 69.5" ski. Kick it up to .780 to .785. Those other settings seem like a compromise between deep and short vs shallow and long, but I have not seen any settings posted for a new 69.5. I have a 2020 Vapor Pro 69.5, and it likes a shallow fin and I have been playing around with length.
  23. @Horton How do you propose to move the ski out under load? Getting the hips and feet out in front of you momentarily unloads the ski so it can move out. If you are going to your onside turn RFF, the load from the boat Has to transfer to your right hand about middle to second wake. This is when you unweight the ski. Don’t say it happens automatically because why isn’t it happening for you or every skier? It did not happen for me. This is a learned move IMO.
