  1. @rico- I'll keep you in mind if the trim tab I added to my rudder does not work out. @Inboardfix - What type of cosmetic blems do the rudders have? Are you doing the machining or out sourcing? You might advertise converting older Nautique rudders to tunable rudders with a trim tab. Anyone know the year when Correct Craft installed the tunable rudders as standard equipment?
  2. @Inboardfix. I was just looking for a spare. I customized my original with a trim tab. I haven't had the chance to test it. I was looking for a cheap backup in case I screwed up the original. hubermarine quoted $100.00 brand new. Seemed like to good of deal to pass up. I should have known better. If my rudder conversion does not work out. I will be emailing you. Thanks
  3. Not that it makes any difference, but I thought I would point out that Andy Mapple uses the same ski at 34 mph as 36 mph. Maybe ask him if he tunes the ski differently at the two different speeds.
  4. Warning this was a scam. I called Cory and committed to the Rudder. Call back the next day to arrange shipping and payment. I was told the rudder was sold on e-bay. This post came from a marine dealer in Indiana . I would be very weary of this company if you see anything posted from hubermarine in the future.
  5. @H2odawg - I am biased, I ride RADAR too. I did try the S2 & N1 after all the BUZZ and did not feel anything special that would make me want to buy one. I do want to try a Mapple 6.0. I heard they are built by RADAR, but I have no confirmation.
  6. @h2odawg - Legit 55K Ski? What is not legit about the Strada, Vice & Senate Skis. Getting a BUZZ is one thing, but what about the hangover with the brands you mentioned. When you shell out 2K and realize you didn't pick up the 6 buoys you imagined when you were BUZZED. A few of the skis from the brands you mentioned were marketed as game changers, but what was the reality for amateur skiers? And the pros, mens 55K world record Jeff Rogers on unknown brand that didn't get any BUZZ. Whitney McClintock 55K temporarily co-held the world record, and was hanging neck and neck until she suffered an injury mid season. She rides a RADAR Strada.
  7. @ShaneH - thanks for the explanation. @Inboardfix - do you have RPMs for the same boat with the 422?
  8. Like @jdarwin, I would like to hear how the 654 compares to the 422 on the older 196 Nautiques. Would there be a drop of 250 to 300 RPM? That might save a lot of fuel.
  9. @crashman What is the slider? I suppose Jody could tell us the weight difference in weight between the standard 275 h.p. engine of the era and the GT-40. I would be surprised if it were 230 lbs. Maybe 50 or 60. I may be way off though.
  10. I like the 97 -2000 196 they weighed 2,340 lbs and with 310 hp GT-40 had a better power to weight ratio than most newer boats. Add a Z-box and you can’t ask for a much better slalom boat. Does anyone know why the 2001 and later put on so much weight? The 2001 196 weighed in at 2,570 lbs. a net gain of 230 lbs. Where did all the extra weight come from?
  11. Which ski, AM33 or Mapple 6.0 is Chris Parrish riding today?
  12. @ eleeski - O'Neil will not fix your bag suit. They don't have a clue. I sent my son's bag suit to O'Neil 3 times, each time I asked for a leak test. They called and said the seals needed replacing. First is was the leg seals. The suit came back and it still leaked. I sent is back and again asked for leak test. This time the arm seals needed replacing. The suit still leaked. Then they said the zipper may be the culprit. Again the suit comes back with a new zipper and it still leaks. Now I have spent more money than a brand new suit. I decided to put clamps on the seals and fill it with air and spray it with soapy water. White foam comes out everywhere except the seals. The material is no longer waterproof. I call O'Neil and explain the situation and they say they can't help because the suit is out of warranty. I am like why did you replace all the seals and the zipper? I will never send a suit to O'Neil for repair again. Let me know if you find something that will make the suit waterproof again. I tried several products without success.
  13. I am not able to find the suit mentioned above. I looked at the ProMotion site and it does not list a Drysuit. Can someone who found it past the link?
  14. I ski with double Strada bindings. I do not use the upper laces on the rear boot so it is super loose. I do tighten the toe a bit. I can lift my heel and even move it around a little. I am wondering how much different this is than the custom ultra tight RTP the pros use? I won't be changing anytime soon. The primary reason for my double boot setup is to keep my feet warm in 40 degree water by filling them up with the hot water shower. Bare toes just doesn’t cut it in the cold.
  15. Must be from a new manufaturer. We know for sure it is not an AM or HO A3 because those skis are already out there and they are not a secret.
  16. If the boat does not have Perfect Pass with Multiline Display, it will cost $1029.00 to upgrade to StarGazer Multiline Display with Z-Box. I did this upgrade to my 97 SN and I am unable to differentiate the pull compared to ZO. My ZO tournament scores matched my practice scores using Z-Box.
  17. @richarddone - please update us with how the redesigned Strada is working and what you feel on the water is different than previous versions. There are a lot of us RADAR skiers who would like to hear what you have to say.
  18. Thank you @Rich and BallofSpray, I will be studying my instructions and practicing this new to me technique for years to come.
  19. @Rich - Can you take a look a my video? Post = "How To Fix Riding The Tail On My Onside" Just want to confirm I have the same problem you describe above. Thanks
  20. @andjules - My two ski partners up here are closer to running 38 than me. I skied both the 67 & 68 Strada and prefer the 66. I think the Strada skies a little bigger than its size represents. It does not feel small when riding it. After switching to the 66 I have gotten a lot more consistent at 35 off. I've never had a problem with the ski digging in the preturn, but when I move the binding forward the ski does not feel like it acceslerates as well. I think the tail riding is from the old days of hook and go. It is really hard to break old habits. I am going to learn to hold my position through the second wake. It can't be that hard.
  21. @Roger - Thanks, now just how do I accomplish maintaining position through the 2nd wake? It sounds much easier to do than it is. I just read @Rich comment to the post "Tip Raise". Now I just need some basic fundamentals to accomplish holding the edge change after the second wake. Is there a drill or excercise I can practice at longer line lengths?
  22. I saw the video of TUP and thought to myself I ski way back on my on side 1-3-5. I am riding a 66 Vice with Rossi fin settings and bindings back 1 1/2 hole. I am 6'2" 175 lbs. If I move the bindings forward I can't run 35 off as often. I know I am not patient enough finishing my turns at the short rope length, what else am I doing wrong?
  23. @skier2788 - Thanks (old embed code) did the trick. Now I just need to learn to delete or move a post.
  24. 1) How do I delete a post? 2) How do I attache the embedded HTML from youtube into a post?
