  1. Unbolt the shaft coupling from engine and see if the alignment has changed. If the strut/shaft has moved you’ll see it in the fit of the loosened coupler. Might take a feeler gauge to tell.
  2. Sold today for $33.5k. A buddy of mine from back in the INT days now has a great boat for his Mason Lake place.
  3. Pictured is the winner, Bruce Brinton of Olympia, WA. Second was Paul Donatt of Imperial, CA and third was Bruce Brown of Snohomish, WA.
  4. This past weekend, if you skied the Winlock Waters event on Friday, the Maytown Mayhem event on Saturday, and the Ski View Estates It’s the Water event on Sunday, there was a point method for crowning a winner.

  6. We do a TnB on the Friday before the Imperial weekend. It does make for a long second round, but that is anticipated , so the CJ makes the tower judge schedule different for the 2nd/3rd rounds. These are skiers who have expressed their willingness to participate by entering the event. I’m never one to “ski and flee” so being at the lake the whole time is part of the plan.
  7. Turn and Burn has more upside than down. A lot of skiers like it. If it’s not your thing then don’t use it, or go to an event that offers it.
  8. Paul D’Alessandro is a crash test dummy today at the Maytown tournament.
  9. for the Broho club, we used a simple log book, tracking sets. each member was allotted so many per season at a certain fixed cost. boat always had the fuel tank at 1/2 level. everyone supplied their own fuel. maintenance costs were on the owner, simple to just wipe down the boat when finished. damage was on the individual, luckily the only issue was a prop ding or two which happens. insurance was through DeVito at Alcott Insurance in San Diego. they do a lot of lakes, special events, and are very knowledgeable about marine coverages needed. it's nice to say how important proper communication is necessary,, but a signed agreement with specific rules/policies/requirements is a must have. always have an exit plan because things will eventually end and if there are procedures in place then you're just following the agreement and no one has to be the bad guy
  10. we had a group boat at Broho a few years ago, it was 4 of us in the beginning with a thoughtful owner's agreement, and also had a shared boat lift agreement. The years went by, boats changed, and the group changed, but because we had an in/out agreements the transitions worked out well. It eventually became just a pair of owners on that boat, and the group of skiers just started paying a user fee for another club boat, owned by one of the other owners. Once again, we had an agreement in writing about policies, fees, etc. and everything went smoothly for a number of years. Eventually life gets in the way of water skiing, and the club boat owner no longer has ties to the lake, so that's why the boat needs a new home. Hence the listing on SIA for the 2015 Carbon Pro with 1284 hours. https://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Boat_3Event&postid=66826 If your group is seriously interested in this boat, you should buy it, and we'll deliver it, and furnish copies of all the agreements you'll need. send me a PM, or call/text my cell number in the ad. I can furnish quite a number of Ballers who have skied behind it, and will attest to it's magnificence.

  12. +1 on the C-Tek line of chargers. My shop has a half dozen of them of the various sizes. A small one (under $100) will do fine for what you need. But if your boat has a good battery, and a disconnect switch, you should be good for a month without the need of a charger.
  13. Also congratulations to Paul Donatt , M8, scoring 94.5 buoys, which is 4.5 at -38, 32mph.
  14. The “record “ tournament actually lived up to its name. Congratulations to Cathy Gibson, W7, 52k score of 85 bouys, that’s 1 at -35, 32 mph.
  15. Also pictured above is Sue Pickrell, another of the best Scorers on the planet.
  16. It was nice to see Lucie Goodman on Sunday. She stopped by Scoring to chat. She was instrumental in my Scorer training years ago. Quite a number of us have her to thank for for all the events that she and John supported over the years.
  17. Dr. Gile, aka @mikegile ran a number of perfect passes, but lost the handle at the exit gate, scoring 6 at 38, NC.
  18. I’ve been trying to get photographic evidence of any Ballers attendance. @AdamCord and @ToddA with his daughter watching skiers go by
  19. Jackson will be age 1 in September, swimming lessons have begun.
