  1. So after taking a few elbows & feet to the neck area we finally decided to try a different approach to protect ourselves during our training for the tandem tube division at the dual event tourneys we attend. The second event would be slalom straight up the line per the conventional AWSA rules but with a combined score for the two skiers keeping in line with the tandem scoring required. Needless to say this is a two day tournament with the slalom day at a private site.

Well after a few years of training, and thanks to average slalom scores, these two guys managed to take home the crown in the Idaho state championships. And the PowerTube vest worked flawlessly.

  2. @MarcusBrown why are you hatin' on Greg. Not saying he doesn't need lasik, or that he doesn't deserve it, and I suspect it's all in good fun. Somewhat. But, well, just but.

IMO, entry gates are overrated. However, I suppose if they're there, and the rules say we have to go through them, then I guess we should. But it's not a super big advantage to go early at the shorter line lengths. Just my opinion.

The missed call can go the other direction too. At 2008 w. regionals here in the NW my main ski buddy of 35+ years ened up second due to missed gate, and a missed call to the guy who ended up first. I think the gentleman lurks around the forum here a bit. Anyway, he didn't totally give up skiing because of it. It happens.

  3. @markchilcutt Sorry no, Medical Lake, WA sportin' a D3 Fusion with some red Fogmans. I think he was there? Rumor has it anyway. Old guy. He'll be in M8 after Ntls this year. I hope I'm still skiing at 70. Family history says no I'm thinking.
  4. @markchilcutt nice skiing man. It wasn't behind Deb P. driving the Malibu was it? I PB'd behind her a few years ago. Good driver. Also, I think one of my main ski partners was there. M7 skier got a couple @ -32 from what I hear. He woulda been happy about that.
  5. Pink it's my new obsession

Yeah, pink it's not even a question,

Pink on the lips of your lover, 'cause

Pink is the love you discover

Pink as the bing on your cherry

Pink 'cause you are so very

Pink it's the color of passion

'Cause today it just goes with the fashion

Pink it was love at first sight

Pink when I turn out the light, and

Pink gets me high as a kite

And I think everything is going to be all right

No matter what we do tonight

    You could be my flamingo

'Cause pink is the new kinda lingo

    Pink like a deco umbrella

It's kink - but you don't ever tell her

  6. @MS Sorry for the slightly misleading comments. The S2 was being ridden by my main ski partner. He was also the guy testing Richard's pink Strada. The S2 is a 66.5 and at 150 lbs is on the big size for me. I think. However, I will be riding it this weekend to see if I need to explore it more. And will have my hands on it tomorrow. Friday for sure. I'll get you some numbers.
  7. @richarddoane I'd love to see a picture of "said skier" on the pink ski putting the hurt on it at 1,3or5. By the way, the S2 proved to only be worthy of 4 @ 38 a couple times this past tourney weekend but I think it's on the short list. Short list becasuse those tourney rounds were the first ever rides on it.
  8. I suppose I better go over to the Fusion thread and post my review. Do you want the one about the 66" ski I really really liked that the airline broke in two a week ago. Or the one about the 65" ski I rode the day I found out about my broken ski? I'm currently between skis.
