  1. Any suggestions on a long shallow setting for a 68 EVO? I’m using the CG fin. I’m liking what I have now, just wanted to compare.
  2. Colorado has been hit and miss, mostly miss. The water is low 70’s which is awesome but trying to catch a window between the fast moving storms is tricky. It’s truly been an exercise in patience! This week is supposed to be nice. Here’s to hoping that the forecasters are right! Come on summer!
  3. Maybe he’s embarrassed about his teeth
  4. 2018 EVO rocks!
  5. When you first set up the ski were those numbers prior to tightening the screws to lock in the fin? Numbers change after tightening the screws.
  6. I guess that I need to go back towards factory and move the boots back
  7. Thanks @skibrain , I haven’t tried boots back yet. Currently I’m 1/8 forward. Maybe I’ll move the boots back before messing with the fin
  8. Thanks @Ed_Johnson , I’m using the CG on it as well. So far the ski doesn’t really be affected by fin movements much. Everything that I’ve done leaves the tail of the ski too locked in. Where are you placing your boots?
  9. I’m wondering what the consensus is for settings on the Evo. I just picked up a 68 and only have a few rides on it. Typically I like a short deep fin. What are others riding this ski liking?
  10. Also does it matter that I have the z box mounted on a wall next to the driver seat? I have it mounted in the right direction
  11. @UWSkier the surge is odd, not like ZO. I was told that there were large swings on the speedometer while skiing. When I’m driving with out a skier i can hear it hunting for the speed. It’s better since I went inverted. I believe that I have the 9.0 upgrade. I’m going to do a system reset today and see and then mess with kx+ and -
  12. Mine runs great times but the engine surges up and down throughout the pass. I believe that I have the 9.0 version with Z Box. Any ideas? Maybe run kx- ?
  13. That 68 looks really smooth under you! Nice pass.
  14. @Horton well that’s a good thing! I know that deep water starts have always been your nemesis
  15. @Horton, have you started the review process on the highly anticipated C75 yet? This inquiring mind wants to know. ?
  16. Mounting a tower to your boat may cause serious cracking in the fiberglass and gel coat because the boat wasn’t designed for that. Boats with factory towers are reinforced in the mounting area to withstand the pressure from the tower during usage whereas yours isn’t. It’s your choice but I’ve seen a few after towers have been installed, I’d hate to see you regretting your decision. They make pylon extenders (Skylon) if you’re wanting to use it for wake boarding and such.
  17. @adamhcaldwell Fluid Motion has a buckle set up that locks. You need to push a button on the end of the buckle to get it to release
  18. @liquid d, I’m not sure what he’s riding now but since I met him in 2005 he’s been off and an X5. I think that he now owns all of the 66” X5’s ever produced ?
  19. @Bruce_Butterfield, just wanted to say thanks for the set up suggestions. I tried multiple things and then tried your settings within a few thou and Boom, the ski came to life! Thanks again!
  20. @Horton, are you or would you be getting close to running 38 with a conventional set up this early in the year? That 38 was rugged but it’s amazing how the ski just kept moving. Great skiing!
  21. @aupatking I agree! Sometimes certain things work. Not comparing myself to Scott Larson but he has love for the X5. My MPD just feels like home
  22. I have 5 sets in so far at Cottonwood in the Denver area. The weather has been so up and down! Hopefully it settle soon! I hate dry suits!
