  1. I broke an FM shell. I bought a Syndicate boot w release. I have a HRT rear boot that is too tall in the toe to allow the release to work. I’m wondering what boots people are using behind their Syndicate boot
  2. I got the Syndicate from Sportsman Ski house in Kalispell MT They have a few left if anyone is interested
  3. Last year I skied really well and this year I haven’t been able to slap my ass with both hands! I’m guessing that it started cracking early season and has progressed. You’d think that I would have noticed but I hadn’t released from the FM this season so I haven’t had the Shell off the ski. I have the release set super light for my weight with no prereleases and it’s always released when needed. I’m currently a fat pig at 215 with the 404 release set at 4-4.5. I feel really lucky that I didn’t get injured with either system.
  4. @Jmoski my HRT is 2 years old I think and the Syndicate boot is probably left over from last year. How can I tell? I got a great deal on it for $389.00 brand new in the box from a shop in Kalispell Mt
  5. @MattP I was really surprised that I came out with the liner on also. I’ve been running the upper cuff pretty loose try to get used to it. I’ve been on the FM with the 404 release for a number of years without issue (until recently) so I’m pretty sure that I had it on correctly and my toes are right near the end of the liner. When I retrieved the ski I expected that I was going to have to dive to find it but it was still on the ski with all of the buckles open
  6. Thanks BCM! Ya I was surprised that I released the way that I did. I’m very thankful though! Great idea for testing the release.
  7. I just bought a Syndicate hard shell and I use a Radar HRT for a rear boot. I skied the other evening and took a fall where I released from the front boot. Sounds great right??? The rub is that the way I released was that the liner and my foot came out of the shell (luckily) and the shell stayed on the ski. Not good!!! What happened was the release mechanism couldn’t open up enough to allow the shell to come off of the ski due to the height of the toe area on the HRT. I tried moving the boot back to allow the release to work. I’ve moved the rear boot back 3/4” and I’m still not sure that I trust the front boot to release. I run my boots close together so 3/4” is a huge move! Any suggestions on what will work behind the Syndicate hard shell?
  8. I just bought one for $389 from Sportsman Ski House in Kalispell MT Limited supply GET SOME!!!
  9. I baked mine at 250• with a towel between the panel and the oven rack until the panel went limp and then had my friend mold it to my back while wearing gloves. You can fine tune it with a heat gun
  10. There’s also a lake just west of Bozeman about 30 minutes out. Maybe those guys will respond.
  11. 57 at Rosewater yesterday with nearly 70 air temp. Beautiful sunny day ?
  12. Last summer my steering started to get stiff so I pulled out the steering cable and soaked it in penetrating oil over the winter to see if I could get it to loosen up. I re installed it a while back and finally got to try it. I was successful in freeing up the cable but for some reason I lost all of the pre load in the steering. Prior to removing the cable my boat had great pre load and tracked/drove extremely well. I’m a little puzzled because now I have zero pre load. Any ideas? The boat is a ‘95 Response with what I think (not sure) is the rack style of steering helm. Thanks in advance! Steve
  13. I had the same problem as @BCM. I got the 9.0 upgrade and still had the surge issues until I went to the inverted tach mode and now it’s rock solid!
  14. No matter what way you go, they’re worth every penny! I used one for quite a while until my back got strong enough to ski with out it. The actual vest is toast, (ditched the vest and use the panel under my vest) I’ve had to make mods to avoid more breakage on the panel but I still pull it out and use it periodically when my back gets sore.
  15. Crazy looking, but you just never know???
  16. Going back to @rico post about Canyon Lake. All of those guys sitting in the boat are being brought back from the judges towers after crashing. There are families of Rattle Snakes living under those towers. Over the years, when I lived there, we had to stop tournaments due to Rattlers swimming across the course. I can’t find the picture now but I’m sure quite a few of you have seen it floating around the internet a few years ago. The picture was of a 13’ Rattler pulled from the ski site at Canyon
  17. In Denver we had 76 on Sunday, yesterday was 17 and snow and this morning it’s 12 ?
