  1. "How's the water level??? Getting deeper by the minute!
  2. While I do not consider it an important training tool, I do visualize my set with a handle in my hands while I go through a "mind pass" or two. This I do find helpful.
  3. @Bruce_Butterfield I've been following the parent thread to this topic and the correct answer, along with your explanation was enlightening. . Thanks, I learned something that will be a benefit. When I have one thing to concentrate on my skiing improves dramatically, you should get what you ask for, in my humble opinion.
  4. Handle control. He doesn't give it up going into the turn and he doesn't reach for it coming out of the turn
  5. I have 2 and neither one is like that
  6. @Wish. http://games.crossfit.com/workouts/the-open
  7. I also think proper handle size is key to preventing blisters
  8. 28.75 would be s good place to start. I ride a strada 55 which is the same mold and this is where it was recommended
  9. Eagle. Because you can get a front zip.
  10. You need to get onto the store. Click on shop water skis. Click on the 9800, And you will find it there at the bottom of page.
  11. Merry Christmas to all, Happy Hanukkah to all, and Happy Festivus to the rest of us; From cold and damp Chicago
  12. @Horton. To be clear, I think it best to tell them the ski and spec when you order a binding as I am not sure the standard has changed. I am only saying they work with you to make it work
  13. @horton I had to drill and file the front binding to make it fit my current ski, which I bought from you a while back. However, when it was time to replace the binding, Wiley's sent me one that was set differently on the plate. If you look at the horse shoe, there is another hole peeking out from underneath. My replacement binding was set in those holes, which put the entire binding further back on the plate. The rear portion of the horseshoe was shaved down to line up with the plate, and it was also shaved at center and front. This set up allows the plate to be set at spec, with the ability to adjust front or back. A member of our ski club purchased a ski from the same manufacturer, and Wiley sent him bindings that fit to spec. I looked at it just to see the solution, and it was a little different from mine, but it measured to spec. I do not know if the stock plate is different, but it has been my experience that Wiley's worked with me, and at least one other person, to make the binding work on that brand ski.
  14. @Horton, I was able to put the front binding on the ski at the recommended measurement, without drilling the plate, ie: using the holes provided. I do not recall which holes I had them in, but the ones I did gave me the right measure. It was a 66inch first generation A1.
  15. MetRx. Vanilla. High on protein. Low on sugar. Tastes great mixed with water. Use less water and it gets thick enough to use a spoon.
  16. I've also found that the Wileys fit HO's, (at least the A1), just fine, it was another Brand ski that required a little plate work.
  17. @allycat you want to measure from the rubber heel, (ie: inside the horseshoe), to the back of the ski to get to spec. On some brand skis, this will put the screws in a different hole than center, which shouldn't matter as long as it measures correct. Further, on some brand skis, you won't have a binding plate hole to put the screw in, which will then require drilling the binding plate so it will align with the ski inserts. This may also require cutting the horseshoe a little to accomodate the new binding hole. It's not that big of a deal if you like the binding., just takes a little time to make it work.
  18. I've been on Wileys for many years. Tried Stradas for a while and went back to Wileys. Just felt better, and I skied better. Stradas always felt a little sloppy to me. I guess I got use to the ankle hug that Wileys give. Horton is correct, I had to machine the front a little, but it's not so bad, all you need is a dremel.
  19. @shaneH Wondering if the falls and learning curve you described could be due more to the Reflex front?
