  1. what does the switch do. And how much are they?
  2. I have pp classic 6.5ng and was wondering if I should upgrade to stargazer. I use it for free skiing and skiing courses with out magnets. I find it hard to get the correct speed in the course with the classic. I do this by just watching the digital speedo and seeing if its close to the target speed(not too exacting). Should I spend the money on stargazer and would it give me more exact speeds. I ski 28',32' off at 36 mph. Thanks!
  3. Im interested to hear the review. when do you think it will be posted?
  4. Do they release???  I like how the plates are small.
  5. You can pivot the front boot with the RS1's!! You cant move the plate in that direction, but underneath you can pivot both bindings either way
  6. I know its still early but I thought there would be some talk after the bigdawg tourney about the boat. Is the wake really improved? Has anyone skied behind one that can give some insight.
  7. sweet finally a pic and some talk on the new ski. i think the ski is already pretty forgiving, all you need is good preturn form and the ski just turns. what do others think?
  8. I guess the top of the ski is brushed aluminum and they are trying to make the ski more forgiving.
  9. Matt Rini's tweet says skied on a new ski probably the new radar
  10. on proskicoach someone saw the 2010 radar Starta. Anyone have info. on the ski?
  11. Agustafson,  What can you tell us about the 2010 Radar line any new things, like a ski?? The boots you say have changed are the colors and general setup the same? I see radar tweeted about an expo for 2010 stuff, where is the expo?
  12. I have been on the RS1 with radar bindings for 3 months now and love it. It turns so smooth and crisp and the tracking of the wake crossings is like no other ski. I tried a buddy's A1 and liked it, but not as much as the RS1. I felt I had to work harder to get the ski to perform. It didnt have the speed the RS1 has. If I got on the front of the A1 it just shut down on me. My buddy has been skiing on that ski for a few months and finally tried my RS1 and it took 3 sets and he his putting his A1 up for sale for a new Radar. I also had another friend coming off a 2005 sixam try both skis and liked the RS1 more, He said its just easier to ski on and turns better. skiing abilitie opinions range from 22 off @36 to 32 off@36
  13. Was wondering what dvd is "better" ? Which one show cases more slalom with different angles? Which one is longer? etc...... Im a college student and cant justify spending 60$ for both right now, maybe buy the second one later but which one is the best for a slalom fanatic. Thanks
  14. Wow I thought that was a very good article. I liked how he gave many examples of how to acomplish the same thing.
  15. I agree the edge change is very important and the great skiers do it very efficently. Now Im trying to figure out how Cale explained it becuause I cant see how the "arm kink" would work without pulling you off your edge-isnt that the idea.  I understand that it would be the so called pivot point of the swing but how would a person do this? How would you go from your arms somewhat staright to having the arm kink without bringing your self out of the lean Im trying to figure this out because I think my edg change from my onside cut to offside turing edge is slow which causes me to be narrow sometimes. any opinions on how much weighth goes on the back foot to accelerate
  16. I was recently at winter conference clinics and Cale Burdick was trying to show us how to initiate a clean, fast edge change with an arm tuck technique. He said he learned it from jack traverse. He said to start the edge change by kinking in your reaching arm elbow into your core, this starts the edge change and you are ready to counter, then reach. He said this allows the ski to flow through you and to the outside turing edge. What does everyone think about this? Another point he made was that when he watched the other pros ski that they had 90% of their weight on their back foot when behind the boat. He skis with most of his weight on his back foot when crossing the wakes to "disengage the wing" and create acceleration.  Some concepts that I learned that Im itching to try
  17. I know i need to point my hip more in the direction i want to travel. It seems that I do that everytime and the ski only produces a nice arc or nice turn once in awhile. I guess i could get even more of the ski in the water allowing the ski to turn for me more, than me trying to push it around. Should i add tip or move my bindings? Would you say the rcx is even more forgiving than the mpd? I was thinking maybe going more that route would help. MS: thanks i was wondering if it would be benefical for me to make the transition
  18. where would one get a different fin. Which one would you recommend?  No i havent been around when she skis there but i heard she is very good
  19. No I dont have any videos here at school with me. thats something i need to do more of i think. I have had some coaching, I had seth work with me for 2 days on my offside and i maybe had 4 good toeside turns in 6 sets. I also ski with Dr Micheals in the summer 2 days a week usually. I guess my question is out of these skis were talking about which one would be the best for a person with a troubled toeside turn. Thanks for all the insight
  20. It seems like my toeside is very inconsistent, If I didnt have any problems with it i know i would be skiing into much shorter line lengths. That turn makes or breaks me every pass. I dont get enought angle out of the turn or i cant cast it out effectivley enough. I need something that will help this toeside inconsistency. Ther rs1, A1 and rcx seem like the right path. Before all i really cared about was ski speed and now im leaning more toward how easy it is to ski on and the consistency to get me skiing better. Any more thoughts Mr. Horton?? thanks
  21. Its snowing and 15 degrees and Im thinking about skiing. I currently have an mpd and get through 28 off usually, my pb is 3 at 32 off. I have a very good onside turn and my offside needs help. I can pick up an RS1 cheap right now and was wondering how forgiving it is. I know its fast , with less rocker, so is turning going to be harder?? Im thinking the radar products may not be for a person like me that needs help on the toeside turn. Am I right?? Other skis I have in mind are the rcx and A1. I heard the rcx is very consistent and the A1 helps the toeside turn. Any thought thoughts would help greatly
  22. It seems that more and more people are switching to the rcx and becoming more consistent while increasing their pb's. I havent tried it yet, but after all this I cant wait.
  23. This summer I had a lesson with seth and he had 2 skis he was testing. They looked just like the pic above lots of bondo. One was shorter than the other and they had a 1/2 in. strip down the center added to the front of the ski. The strip tapered as it went back. I pulled him during this testing and watched a a few sets too. The longer of the 2 he didnt like but the shorter ski he did. After dropping at one end he said, " I think we may have something here". I asked him how it was and he said, "it just drops in with no effort" He was running 32's and 35's here. Im on a mpd now and am thinking of getting a d3 just after my first lesson with him and having him describe different skis.
