  1.  I would say the ski might be hurting her. It might be just too aggressive for those slow speeds. Its like putting her on a Goode, not very forgiving. She might need a little extra width on the ski to generate some speed.  My girl friend looked just like that and was running the course the same wasy. i put her on a 65" Radar lyric and she liked the way it turned and the balance it had. After 2 seasons on it she is moving to a senate C. The skis is for sale $125 shipped.
  2. Londonskier- moving the fin forward doesnt work for me. I moved my forward in warm water when the water was over 80, then the ski came alive. I have a 66 strada and my water is at 57 degrees. Im at 6.845 .742 2.51 Breaking at the waist does mean that, but it could also mean you have too much tip and could take a little out of the fin AB is on the same theory as me.  For warm water my settings from Matt Rini are: 6.845 .755 2.505
  3. Move your fin back more. I had the same problem on my strada when the water turned colder. I felt like the ski was stuck behind me coming out of the turn. Rossi feels the same way when water gets cold. Try it. my warm water setting is .755 and i went back to .742 and had instant results
  4. What would you suggest eddie? I would love to get her on the senate c just because its lighter and would give her more speed and higher speeds once she gets there. But how much stiffer is the c compared to the normal senate? Would that hurt her turning at slower speeds?
  5. Im in the process of getting my girl friend a new ski. She is coming off a 65" Radar Lyric and I want to get her on the strada mold. Right now she skis between 28-32mph and ran the course a few times. I was wondering what everyone thinks I should do. I was thinking the Senate or Senate C. Would the senate c be too stiff for those speeds or would it give her a little extra speed being carbon and lighter? Any thoughts?
  6. I have heard the opposite, that some pros start out with A, B and hten move to C once they get into the shorter lines.
  7. I like toddL list of questions. I think the only reason I can now run -32' at 36 mph is because I read the handle control article which got me wide and because I focused on my edge change. Use all of his question!
  8. I would say the strada also
  9. I dont have any topics yet, but I would like to see the style of the article similar to the handle control one by Bruce B. Some articles say a skier needs to do this and this...... but never actually describe how to do it. Bruce's article gives you a list of things to try and what you should feel. The pictures describe exactly what is going on in the picture. It also gives examples of what not to do. I learned so much from that article. While I was skiing I could easily relate to it and adapt it into my skiing.
  10. I have a 66 strada and my water is getting cool (60). I had a hard time riding the ski until I moved my fin back and added depth. Im more on the theory with chris rossi. I had a hard time getting the ski out in front of me, it felt like the ski was gettting sucked back and thats what rossi feels to. I also added depth because the ski rides higher so it adds stability. I refrence this arctice: Â http://www.usawaterski.org/pages/Instructional%20Articles/Slalom/ColdWaterRecommendations.pdf
  11. Im Rob Quetschke (24), I live in WI and have skied for University of WI Madison and WI Whitewater. I started skiing when I was 7 and started the course when I was 14. I live on a public lake but get time on some private courses. I feel my large amount of open water skiing has enabled me to really work on technique with out chasing bouys. Im a huge fan of Radar skis and feel they are headed in the right direction with their skis and company. My dream and goal is to build my own lake either in WI or the UP of MI. I would like to become a Radar rep, Ive been selling so many people on Radar skis its not even funny, both people I know and dont know. I spend a week at Bennetts every spring for the last 3 years and love it. I have mostly skied college tourneys but Im making the transition to summer tourneys. I ski with Boomer behind his 08 197 TT, IM light so I use A1 but want to make the transition to B1 for the short line lengths. If your ever in WI hit me up to ski! PB 2@35/36mph Radar Strada 66, double RS1 bindings- I think my next bindings will be the new Obrien elite bindings, I like the concept
  12. I have a friend whos going to AZ in Oct. on buisness and wanted to know if he could ski near by?
  13. thanks, Yeah ive been running .740 dft for almost the entire summer. It kpet my tip low but made my offside a longer turn. I was also running 6.30 length though
  14. Â I just tried matt rini's numbers last night in some pretty windy conditions and loved it. The ski turned harder and was faster off the ball, Cast out was even on both sides aswell. 66inch 28 3/4Â 6.840 2.50 .755 Â Does anyone have rinis numbers for a 67 for my ski parnter?
  15. The d3 skis have a smoother finish (different material)Â so you cant compare the two. The small divit in the picture is not normal. I have a strada and it doesnt look like that.
  16. I just bought a 2005 d3 trick ski and need some help with what bindings to get. I dont want to spend alot of money so I was thinking of getting an HO animal front binding. Ive seen people using front or back aniamls for the front binding. What is better? Also where do I get the toe plate for a trick ski. I saw one on d3s website for 38 and then I saw one on perfski for 25$ Is this for a trick ski or just a normal ski http://www.perfski.com/cart.cfm?cart_action=item_info&category_guid=02c7b9e7-65bf-d230-4515-28fe16659d34&item_guid=9440987d-ffb2-22af-2607-7fa724f97c7f

Yeah I think each lake is very different. Water viscosity I think plays a huge role. I have found I like 80-85 degree water 10-15 ft deep. Any shallower or deeper and I can tell a difference.
  18. I tied shanes fin setup tonight. I liked how it came out of the turn but I found it hard to ski on. I couldnt recover as easy from mistakes as with the stock setup. It seemed to really hug the water like it was on rails. I seemed to get on the tail on my onside (LFF) a few times. I will try it again later but I have state this weekend so im sticking with what is working for now.
  19. Â sorry copy and paste didnt work. 66'Â 28.625 .745 6.84 2.49
  20. Ive been near stock settings now for awhile and would like to try some other setups now that our water is 80-85 degrees. My settings are 6628.6250.7456.842.499 What settings have been successful?
  21. I have the Radar strada Boa golves. I like them becuase there isnt any velcro on them and you can adjust the tightness really easy. Has anyone tried the Radar ergo gloves? I tried them on and they seem to fit my hands better.
  22. Roger, I left him a message but Im not sure if he got it due to the site going down again.Â
  23. Â So I just had my first bad experience with Radar. I love the skis and bindings and decided to try their handle. I bought the handle in dec. for xmas and I used it for the first time at Bennetts a few weeks ago. The handle started off grippy but by day 3 it was extremely slippery. I washed it with soap, sanded it down and had the coaches look at it. They all thought it was junk. Radar wont replace it because it has a 30 day warranty from dec.. Im not too happy after spending $75 on it. Â Im done buying things during the offseason thats for sure. Â So I was wondering what everyone is using for a handle. The people at Bennetts like masterline. I was thinking masterline or the local proshop here has proline. What is a good handle these days?
  24. If I subscribe canI watch the videos from previous months?
