Blacktec 2.0mm full suit has taken me to 50 degree water and 55 air with sun in comfort.

Try a smaller size. I'm 6'3" and 170 lbs. with chicken legs. I have the BlackTec full and shorty in Large. The size chart indicates XL or XXL for everything other than weight. As you mentioned they are very stretchy so try the next smaller size. Robby's Ski Shop BOS advertiser, @waterskigirl can help you get the right fit.

Had the pleasure of attending a 2 day coaching session at Shadow Lakes with Terry a few months back. Watched from the shore as Terry ran 41 several times. The weight of the tower is essentially the only measurable effect. I have one on a 1994 Prostar 205. The tower weight is no more than 100 pounds since I remember carrying it with my wife. The weight of a tower is distributed across gunnels of the boat and approximately centered over the pylon. Your extra crew members are the bigger variable. But Family fun time on the boat is worth the extra weight.

Like them both. I have teak on my 94 ProStar 205 and Fiberglass on the 2007 LXI. I oiled the teak annually for the first 10 years to restore the color. Now I've let it mature to the natural grey of all outdoor woods and it should last another 21 years no problem.

I have a 07 Lxi that was a So Cal promo boat. I used 35 pound barbell plates as follows. 1 plate in the walk-thru centered under the air dam to improved tracking which stays in all the time. Then under the observer seat next to the port gunnel I have 3 of the 35 pound plates to simulate a 105 pound passenger for side to side weight balance when no observer is in the boat. We remove these 3 plates when we have an observer. The plates are rubber coated and I looped a strap through each to make them easy to move.

Focus manually for each line length as soon as the line in tight or the skier gets up. Focus at max zoom then pull back to your desired frame. They will always be about that same distance throughout their pass assuming your sitting close to the pylon. No autofocus to slow down the camera. That may solve your slow focus issue with the 18-200mm. Then try full manual with a slower shutter speed and higher f-stop for some fun shots that capture the blur of speed.

I'm 6'2" and 165. Down from 6'4" after years of bad posture sitting in meetings. Weight used to vary 5 pounds up or down around 175. After retiring it was easier to avoid the business travel dinners and ski more.
