  1. My dad is a banker, their bank has no issue lending money to anyone who is a good risk. They never got caught up in any of those "funky" loans and there fore never had to rely on the govt. to bail them out. For them it's business as usual. Like Jim said, things have changed in a big way!
  2. I have to agree with the roller comment. We see that alot here in Canyon Lake. We share an area with the Wakeboard club. They ride up stream from us and are supposed to turn around before a dog leg in the lake. If the Wakeboarders turn around past this point they'll send rollers into the course and then you'll get the surging you're talking about. In calm waters the only rpm change is from skier load.
  3. I was speaking with the top sales person for Malibu the other night. He said the margin per boat for the manufacturer (in Malibu's case) is pretty decent. But the retailer is really taking a hit right now with the financing options being nearly non existant. He normally sells 18-20 boats in July. This year he sold 2. He had a lot of people trying, but couldn't get them financed. He told me that he had a deal fall thru with a guy who had provable income of 400k and was putting 50% down and the bank wouldn't bite because this guy was in the real estate industry. Crazy! He did say that Malibu is still strong financially. That's good to know.
  4. have you checked your settings lately? There is a distinct possibility that they could have changed from what you had set them at before. And also like thanimal was saying, it could be that in your entry you could be reaching forward allowing your hips to fall back starting the whole problem
  5. looks like too much fun!!! isn't this your first outing on a Strada? (not the 55) it will be interesting to hear your comparison as I'm sitting here crying and drooling wishing I could ski!!!! WAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
  6. I think it looks good, but in your tweet you mentioned "The Krista" I didn't see her. Anyone who refers to themself in the 3rd person is obviously famous enough to make the banner. Plus she's waaaay cute!

  7. It's funny, the first time I tried the Jager fin set up my depth was at 2.525, length was 6.79 (ish) dft was around .698 and the boots were 29.625 on a 68 MPD.(idon't remember for sure right now the exact numbers except the depth) but you'd think with that set up I'd be riding a school bus but my 1st set on it I got around 2 @ 38 which is real respectable for me. I knew it wasn't going to work! I guess I was wrong
  8. I'm with you Horton! Most of us are skiing behind older boats that aren't compatible with ZO. I only ski a ZO boat in tourneys and it frustrates the hell out of me to the point of not wanting to participate. I know that I'm not the only one with these feelings. So, how does this grow the sport??? Stargazer provides a consistent pull, is affordable and available to install on older boats. In my opinion, a new boat is a waste of money! You can't tell me that a $50,000.00 boat has improved anyones scores. Just my opinion
