So what's your plan? You stayin' on the 55 for a while or going back to 'Ol Reliable? Or is it too early to tell.

Has Eddie said anything about where the 55 (or should I say, the "MS-1") will end up in the line up? Will you be seeing the Strada soon for comparison sake? Running -38's this early is pretty respectable this early in the season with limited time on the ski!

What were you riding last night? Are you still sporting the Strada 55? Have you had a chance to try the Strada yet?

Yeah! Come on! Tell us about all that sunny and 110 deg. stuff that is just around the corner. I'm tired of wet and cold! I don't see how you guys do it up in the Pacific Northwest. That rain and gloom would make me crazy!

If it makes you feel any better, we've gotten boat loads of rain accompanied with lots of wind and cool weather. Our water temp is now at 65 ish when it's normally in the mid 70's by now.

The intuition liners come in various "volumes". I'm not sure how that would work with the Strada boots or if it would even be advisable. Just a thought.

Couldn't you take one of your existing plates with the hole pattern that you want transfered and just secure it on top of the Radar plate and use a center punch to transfer the hole pattern? Just have to make sure that you have it centered (side to side) and also in the correct position (forward/aft) to optimize the slots for adjustment sake.

I've tried the aft position and for me the ski would get out in front of me too far. I now have it in the normal position. Maybe if I tried it a little longer I would have gotten used to it.

I'm wishing for some global warming! The water in So Cal is only 60, normally near 70 by now. Cold and cloudy and rain in the forcast. I don't do drysuits anymore. The weather has been so crappy here I actually "tried" to ski in a 30 rpm adjust headwind/tailwind yesterday. It didn't go real well!

I've gotten the 'ol rope wrap twice! I used to ski with a guy who could hold on to some amazing stuff! This guy is a friggin' gorilla! When he did let loose, the handle would blow by the boat sometimes. I got lucky and was able to get the rope off my neck or get my hand between the rope and my neck. Ended up with a rope burn once though! Good times!!!

The main thing that I noticed with the RS and Strada side by side was the width difference. We put a tape to the two skis, at 1' back from the tip, the Strada looked to be 1/4" wider. Just in front of the fin box it measured an 1/8" wider. So the surface area has increased substantially. The bevels have changed too! The Strada is 5 stage now. Here's a shot of the two together. Should've had the two skis together to get a better comparison.

I had the opportunity to compare an RS-1 to the Strada yesterday. Boy! there isn't much that hasn't changed on the new ski! The finish looks awesome! I just wish it was a 68" so my fat a$$ could ride it! ha ha

The Quatro's are on the heavy side but IMO that's not such a bad thing! As for tinkering with them, you initially have to get them set up according to Mfr. specs. for them to function correctly. (just like any other high end mechanical type system) IMO the Quatro's are one of the safest set ups out there! The Strada's, RS-1's, E-Series are definately a close second when it comes to predictable release, but for ease of operation, they're the ticket! You can't go wrong with any of them.

I've been on the FM quatro's since '05 with zero injuries and no pre-release. Although, these bindings do require you to stay on top of the set up for the system to work correctly. The newer E Series works like the Strada/RS-1 in that the liner exits the shell upon a releasing fall. It all comes down to personal preferance and how much you like to tinker with your gear.

I know a guy that used to ski an old HP. The last time I skied with him was around 2000. At that time the ski was about 20 yrs old (I think???) He was skiing deep -38 at 36 on that old wore out thing! He tried a number of other ski's and kept going back to it. I know others that keep going back to their old fave, but usually it's with in 5 yrs of being current.

While using 5 gal cans with the 200, you might have to use the siphon method to keep from dumping all of your fuel all over the boat

Don't forget about giving yourself a little volume in the toe area during the heat molding process!

If you can talk him into dragging the lake, you could easily pull from one side to the other down the body of the lake using his tractor or a 4 wheel drive. You've definately got the room on either side of the lake!
