  1. Use velcro instead of dual lock. It's much easier to use and you can get it at home depot, complete with adhesive tape! Cheap too. That is if you don't want to do the Dremel thing.
  2. Nice skiing Richard! What's your water temp now?
  3. I think if you look at the coaches page, (on Pro Ski Coach) it shows how many lessons each coach has given. The numbers show that Wade has been the coach of choice. I don't know if it's because he's so vocal over there (and easy to talk to) or if he has just been recommended to others for his coaching abilities. A friend of mine has been skiing with him for the past 2 years and his skiing has really taken off! ÂÂ
  4. Didn't you say you were cutting out the beer during the off season??? Cool design though!
  5. Jim, I went from: Boots 29 5/8 to 29 3/4, DFT .721 to .728. Now I'm at 29 7/8 Boots and .746 DFT
  6. I'm sure that there's a point where you become un-balanced. But a wider stance just seems that it would add stability.
  7. Canyon Lake water temp this past weekend was 70, air temp was mid 80's we're starting to see rain though. Probably make it thru November with a shorty wet suit.           d:-)
  8. No! My off side is strong! This year has been a little wierd. I've been struggling with my on side and my offside is automatic. I have no fear coming into 1,3 at blazing speeds 'cuz I know it's going to hold!
  9. It was wierd! I wasn't thinking about dropping my hip at all. It just happened! I might try opening them up 1 more hole. Have you tried rotating the front foot at all?
  10. This last weekend I was playing around with boot spacing. I opened up my stance by one hole. The thing that I noticed after doing this was that all of the sudden I was dropping my hip into my onside turn better. Is this something that just happened out of the blue or is there any arguable evidence to support this? I skied 3 sets this weekend, made the change before the second set and left it like that for the third. I only noticed this sensation on the last 2 sets. I'm confused as to why I would feel this?
  11. Last week our water took a 10 degree drop, so I moved the boots and fin forward twice. After the second move, my ski was back to feeling like it did in the 80 deg water. Viscosity definately changes the way the ski rides and performs.
  12. And why would skiing in a shallow ditch be less sensitive to water temp?
  13. Paul's program doesn't make any sense at all when you first look at it, it goes against everything I thought I knew about ski set up (which isn't much) but I've had my best season ever! (in practice, tourneys sucked) I don't get the opportunity to ski behind ZO, so that's my excuse! LOL
  14. This past week our temp dropped from 77 to about 70 to 72. Definately changed the way my ski reacts!
  15. Boody where do you ski? I'm in So Cal, we're in the mid 70's and dropping!
  16. Does anyone have footage of this fine piece of skiing? Congrats Ski Dawg!!!
  17. I'm sorry to say that Wayne passed this morning at 3:40 am. You'll truly be missed Wayne!!! http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/waynecanfield/journal
  18. Hot Chicks? You guys must be hanging at the wrong dock!
  19. Ya, it's very sad! He will definately be missed here in Canyon Lake. I went by to see him last night. He was resting peacefully.
  20. Ditto TW! I was involved in surveying the course at Wet Set before regionals in 2006 and also on a new lake in Montana. This is something that requires some experience and expertise!
  21. Sad news about Wayne. It looks like his health has taken a turn for the worst! We should all take a moment to say a prayer for Wayne and family. www.caringbridge.org/visit/waynecanfield ÂÂ
  22. I'm not sure what they are, but McMaster Carr has an extensive line of hardware. You might be able to find something there.
  23. Boody, I know the owner of the boat in Helena (known him for about 15 yrs) He is very meticulous when it comes to care and maintenance if you can't find one in the color that you want. Can't go wrong with this boat!
  24. Your Dad said you used to be a real good jumper too!
  25. Hands Down!!! Fluid Motion!!! I've had the Powershells and I really liked them except I usually broke 2 shells per season. I've been on the 2 plate Quatro's since 2005 and have had NO breakage. The quality is outstanding! The release is smooth and painless. You owe it to yourself to try Paul's demo program. Just my opinion!
