  1. MS, How come on google earth your lake just looks like a field? Have you built a lake? Or is that the proposed site for a lake?

    Vests

Gern, I have one of the Swat ones too. Do you have problems with the side zip inching its way open as you ski? I like the vest but its a pain having to re-zip all the time!
  3. Cam,  That's it! It didn't work for you? I'm lucky enough to not have to deal with it.
  4. Isn't there a gyro ball or something that is supposed to help alleviate those types of injuries? Don't remember where I saw it? Maybe Big 5?ÂÂ
  5. I'm not sure about that??? We have a young fella in our ski club that has an older Mastercraft with an after market tower and thats how he transports his A1. Maybe it just works out on that tower??? But I would think that they could be mounted at pretty much any width that you desire. I'm no wake board technician though!
  6. OOOOOOOOO YEEEEEAAAAH! That Silver top accented by the polished aluminum! Class Act for sure! He'd be the envy of everyone on the dock.
  7. Mrs. MS, I'm un-sure of the price (sorry MS) but you should be able to order them from your local dealer. They come brand specific. Like Malibu, Mastercraft, so you can get them to match the brand of boat you own. As for mounting, without seeing your golf cart, it's hard to say. I know that they screw onto those silly looking monkey bars that they have on wake board boats. With a little ingenuity, it should be an easy/clean install. If anything, you could have your local machine shop make up some mounting brackets that'll compliment the coolness factor of the racks. And yes, they do hold 2 skis. Sorry for spending your hard earned money MS! But I have to admit, it's so much fun!
  8. Thanks for the responses! This ski is actually for a buddy of mine. He's looking for used or demo. Presently he is on the fence between the RS-1 and a Strada. I e-mailed Tadd about the Strada, so I guess time will tell if he "really" wants to step up or not! It sure is fun spending other peoples money! Ha ha
  9. Couldn't you (I hate to say it but) use a wakeboard rack? It's polished aluminum, padded, easy to use and has definately got the coolness factor built in! Should be an easy and clean way to attach it to the golf cart. Gotta treat her right!
  10. Thanks Gern, I found a demo at H2Osmosis for $499.00. Best deal so far.ÂÂ
  11. anybody got one for sale? Reasonable?
  12. Yeah, you know, when you wash your sweater and your sweater shrinks? Shrinkage! another George-ism
  13. I'd be embarrassed if Horton posted how many times a day that I frequent this site just for one more tid bit of info. Thanks Horton for feeding my obsession!!!
  14. Horton, I wish you the best of luck and hope you're like Ed and got one of the 3%! Because arguing about something your passionate about sux!
  15. Wow!!! Pandora's Box is right! Before I got married I spelled it out, didn't slow down a bit, even told her that my obsession with water skiing and snow skiing is probably one of the main reasons why I got divorced before. I told her in no un-certain terms should she ever try to change that about me. To this day she is still trying to change me! All women want to do is change you and once they've changed you, they don't like what they've changed you into! They're never happy! Go skiing, enjoy yourself, find a compromise that works (if you can) otherwise you'll be a worthless, un-happy individual that she'll end up hating anyways!
  16. TW, Very cool! I don't play pool often and don't know the terminology, but I'm thinking that "Monster" is a very fitting term. for your cues! I like the theme. ÂÂ
  17. I've had the Radar handle for a full season now (using Masterline Kevlar gloves with it) and it looks like I have at the very least 1 more season left in it! I had one of the older Masterline handles that I had re-strung a couple times and this Radar handle looks to be the same quality as my old Masterline. If you're looking for a goode handle, I'd definately try the Radar!
  18. That's awesome! It looks like a chunk of lilly is trying to get air born there about mid spray. Those lilly's work well to settle the water. Wish we had some at our site in Canyon Lake!!!!!!!!!! It's terrible right now! We're at full pool right now, the west shore has a steep shore line that creates some pretty busy water. After your third pass you'd better have some soft knees and a strong core or you'll end up kissing the tip. Oh well, at least I'm able to get some rides in.ÂÂ
  19. The weather man is forcasting some 75 + air temps this weekend! Water temp is 53 +. It's shorty time! WOO HOOÂÂ

    Toning

I find it hard to believe that there are too many drivers doing this intentionally. I can see this happening (by mistake) with an in-experienced driver that doesn't fully understand how the system works. In our area, I highly doubt that this or any other intentional cheating is going on! I think that the majority of us skiing tournaments are good respectable people more interested in elevating our sport rather than tearing it down for 1 more buoy!

    Toning

When using ZO, you're supposed to move the throttle close to a wide open position after ZO has taken over. This allows the motor to make unlimited rpm swings when the skier loads up in his or her pull phase. Toning is when the driver doesn't add that additional throttle room, so when you pull the skier up out of the water the driver manages the throttle only to the point of where the system takes over and then leaves the throttle control in that position instead of pushing the control to the wide open position. When the driver doesn't push the control to the w.o. position it doesn't allow the motor to make such large rpm swings, there for being easier on the skier.
