  1. Going on third year and am NW skier so in it 5 months a year...OF
  2. I am going on my third year with my Eagle and no seal issues. I also wear spray legs on both lower legs which we have found greatly extends leg seal life. No ski spray abuse = long seal life. OF
  3. I got the Eagle baggy. Really light so you feel very free when skiing. Canl layer underneath depending how cold it is. Has cool front zip so easy in and can zip and unzip myself. Added bonus is it is very hard to forget to zip your suit before you jump in with zipper accross your chest instead of back. OF
  4. I use that handle with eliptical bar. I am on my second bar, but other than that the foam padding has held up and mine has gray plastic that is not painted so no flaking paint. I do worry though about if I pop the handle and it hits my ski. I am sure if/when that happens, there will be carnage....love that handle so taking the risk. OF
  5. Short story is owners are out of town and parents are staying at house taking care of their grandson. They go to take boat out on lake and next thing grandpa knows is boat is on dock. So thought is probably bumped or pushed throttle too hard causig boat to ramp up on dock. Boat suffed minor fiberglass damage, broken scag and cracked corner piece of windshield. Insurance is covering boat damage and the hope is homeowners covers dock. They got it off the dock by taking off scags and turning it around. They then winched it off. It was then driven under its own power to boat launnch. It is getting repaired now. The good part is nobody was hurt and everything broken can be repaired. As you can imagine grandpa feels horrible about it.......OF
  6. I know the story.....keep guessing......it is Lake Tapps....OF
  7. Witnessed David Miller ski into 41 off all three rounds this last Saturday at the BroHo.....was working well for him. OF
  8. Regular slalom judge. Regular slalom/trick driver. OF
  9. What you will get at the Broho Wednesday all three rounds.......what is your excuse for not being there.......OF
  10. Shortline is your max speed at -22 and beyond. In the entire world of people who water-ski there is really only a small percentage who can even run a slalom course. Even smaller -22 and beyond. I agree with mwetskier's post, lets not make this any more elite than it is. Anyone who skis with me, if you are -22 and shorter, you are shortline. If you are -38 and beyond, I am just pissed cuz your better than me......damn you....OF

  13. 72 and sunny at the Broho yesterday. First day in shorts and still loving the carrot. OF
  14. Sully, I agree the blue metal flake in the sun looks awsome. Estrom, that is why we ski at the BroHo.....thats the norm, not the exception. OF
  15. Rob Scholl, Police Sergeant at a mid sized agency in the suburban Seattle area. Live in the Tacoma area and ski/train with Richard Doane down at the BroHo lake. I also do all the grounds maintenance at the lake so spend a lot of time on a mower and behind a line trimmer. Attached is a clip of some recent winter skiing on my new Strada. Not the greatest skiing, but getting reps when your cold and in a drysuit not always condusive to great skiing. I posted the clip as I think it would be cool for people to do so we can put faces with places and names. OF
  16. RD uses his dry suit when it is 90 degrees out.....not a good person to ask......Solve the leak issue get a Eagle drysuit. Lightweight and water tight..............OF
  17. Richard Doane and I are out here in Seattle/Tacoma area. Welcome at the BroHo anytime as long as it is not frozen. Two Five Three - Six Zero Six - Seven Seven One Eight. (Text is good as I won't answer a number not in my directory. OF
  18. It is always worth a try. If it does not work, what is the harm? If it works, you are brilliant...OF
  19. I agree with RD that tournaments validate a persons true ability. Boat speeds are correct, course dimensions are correct and there are real judges scoring. That being said, I know there are a lot of great skiers who do not ski tournaments and could kick my a$$ any given day. What everyone could do was shoot a video of them skiing and post it. One, it is cool to put a face with a name and second we are able to see some of the great skiers on BOS most excellent skills. Horton, stars for a video clip posted......my two cents.....OF
  20. Okay, I got a new 2013 67" Orange Strada fresh off the press up at RadaR lake the other day. I came off my silver 67" Strada after Eddie said it was time for a "Fresh Ski." I was reluctant to get on a new ski as I had gone from just getting into -32 when I got it to running -35 and touching -38. Anyway got on the new ski and immediately noticed it was much smoother. I am a LFF so gates, 2 and 4 are always a struggle. Even though it was smoother, I did not feel like it glided as well as my silver Strada or accelerated as hard. What it did do was carry more speed through the turn and just rocked my off side. My on side became more of a struggle as the ski would not turn as hard. RD and I played with the fin moving it forward/back with not real difference. I ended up with the fin back in pretty much the stock location and just skiing. The more I rode it the more I realized that the ski was not really slower it just carried more speed through the turn by carving like on a rail so there was not the extreme speed accross the wake and slow down at the buoy. At the shorter line on my Silver Strada I would get a lot of slack on my turns because the ski would turn so hard causing me to take some big hits. I would really have to work to keep a tight line and not let the ski turn so hard to combat this. With the new Orange Strada, these hook turns are gone and my turns are smooth and tight with very little slack. I now find myself earlier at each ball but am still trying to figure out my gates as the new ski glides and turns in more gradual. My drivers have all commented how much smoother I feel and they are not feeling the big hits coming off the balls. So at this point I have to say I am pretty excited where this ski will take me next year. Goal is to get my average from 96 to up over 100.....OF
