  1. Skied behind a 200 w/5.7liter this weekend and loved it. I ran 1st round behind my 05 MalibuLXI with PPSG and ran 3@35. 2nd and 3rd round was behind the 200 at got 2@35 and 3@35 with the A1 setting. Granted the boat revs like a son of a gun, but skis great with very little noticable ZO "Throttling." I would buy a 200 tomorrow if I had the money (I don't), but would have to get the 6.0. We are pretty close to sea level and the boat was having a tough time with getting up and settled by the 55's with the 58K skiers. Granted BroHo has a fairly short set-up, but I have seen many that are much shorter. I think a 6.0 is a must if you are ever going to pull a jumper or 58K skier. Just my two cents..............OF
  2. skimech, I skied two rounds behind a 2010 SN200 this weekend, and judged in the boat and drove a class of skiers. Many people comment on how high the boat revs over what we are all use to, ie, over 4000rpms at 55K and 58K. What I noticed that with the high revs, there is very little of the throttling even with the heavier hard pulling skiers.  I don't know if spinning the engines at higher revs was intended to help with the "Throttling" ZO does or just needed to get the 200 up to speed and down the lake, but either way, higher revs has really minimized the "Throttling" I was use to hearing the last couple of years. I don't know about the new MC or Malibu, but the SN is a ton better. I skied great behind it this weekend. When driving the boat I felt like I was killing the skier with how the boat sounded, but when skiing it, I could not hear the boat or feel any difference from my 05 Malibu LXI w/PPSG. OFÂ
  3. What RD did not say is that in the head2head, I think he had to run -35 off the dock three times in a row which is impressive to say the least......OF  Oh yea, I got knocked out in the first round when I only ran 5@-32 . Later when I went to drive the rest of the head2head, I found that someone had changed the PPSG to all mag. timing instead of one mag. All of us who had skied behind the Malibu had got smoked in the 2nd segment with the 58K kids getting it the worst. Note to self, do not put a driver in a boat if they are not intimately familiar with the speed control of the boat.....OFÂ
  4. My son Tomas, B3 skier has no issue changing speeds. He does not like the long line at -15 so just runs 55K-22 to open. It gives him an easy opening pass. His key to 58K is strong behind the boat and quick edge change and keeping on the handle. He spent a few days with Terry Winter and his form and strength behind the boat along with an early quick edge change was the key for him. He has been getting deep -35 and now really has to work as Scoke has said on his gates. OF
  5. Strada is made in the shop and the far end of Radar lake, Woodinville WA. Cannot get any cooler than that. Elite is made in Redmond WA. OF
  6. Global Marine $416 a year for 05 Malibu Lxi with 500K liability....OF
  7. I have not made a comment to this point on this because I don't have a dog in the fight. That being said, I have persanally witnessed some of the issues mentioned by others. Because of those issues, I have chosen to spend my money with other company's. While I agree with John on keeping things first hand, I hope people do not stop posting factual information on ANY company's equipment and service that don't perform as advertised I know that because of what I have read, it has validated what I have seen and heard in my own little corner of the world. My two cents..................OF
  8. I was at the Seattle Supercross last night and watched all the riders wearing neck protection. The neck braces???? or whatever you call them did not seem to limit them at all. As a father of a 16 year old jumper who is going over a 100 feet and my guess is 130 or more this year, would this be something that would be good for him to wear. With Kyles injury and others I have heard about, it seems that this neck protection/brace may have prevented those injuries. I have not seen anyone wear one jumping, so I may be off base.  I know some doctors and sports injury people are on Ball of Spray and have knowledge of what a jump crash can entail. Any thoughts and advice would be welcomed from anyone on this issue, Thanks.......OF I have to admit that every time he hits the ramp I always have that little ache in my stomach.......I am sure you parents out there can relate...     http://s7d2.scene7.com/is/image/Motosport/LEA-SNB-_is?$productdetail$

  11. 04196, good point. RD said that cuz he lives in Burien........OF
  12. Ed, if the big IF happens, you have to shoot video cuz I wanna see you giddy like a school girl at a Jonas Brothers concert........OF I have skied with RD for a long time and since getting on the Strada he has gone from 2 or 3 @ 38off to running it almost every time and 2 or 3 @39 off. I bet he runs 39 this summer and it will be because the ski has allowed him to work and refine the technique needed to run that line length. That is what the Strada has done for many of us, allowed us to take our skiing to a higher level. It is true that a ski can only do so much, but what the Strada does is eliminate the ski factor and allow the skier to just ski and work on the technique needed to get them to the next level......thanks Radar....OFÂÂ
  13. I too agree with Scott. I have skied on many skis, but the Strada allows me to still run buoys and my bad days and flat rip on the good days. If anyone is like me, I am a totally different skier depending what side of the course I am on. I can pretty much ski any ski as long as I only have to go around 1, 3, and 5 ball. It is the gate, 2 and 4 that kills me. Skiing on the Strada has allowed me to have a bad gate, or 2, or 4 ball and still clean up the pass and run it. The more I stay on the water, the better I get. Other skis have skied great, but only when I have been on my game. As soon as I got a little out of shape, I was down and pass was over. I am of the same mind that it is not the ski, but most of the time the skier. That same mind has come to the conclusion that this skier may never ski like a pro.  I just need to find a ski that allows me to make mistakes, recover and continue to improve. I have found that ski for the time being. I have no doubt there are others or will be, but for now, the Strada rips.....OF
  14. Run Six, Eastern Washington is anything east of us.......OF
  15. I had the same issue with my rear binding. I had Wiley's put my rear binding on a universal plate and I am good......OF
  16. MS, I am with you. RD has that boat at his shop and is board and takes a photo.........the only thing wrong with the picture is the person holding the camera taking it.......OF
  17. If you watch the video I twisted it so it was correct. I was just commenting about it because it seems that when I am at a tournament I am handed my handle with the rope twisted and have to fix it. That is why when I am doing the dock thing, I do it the way I first showed....OF
  18. You fly me to Nationals and I will be the chief dock starter..................The US Gear handles and arm guards is why I buy all my ropes from In-Tow. I have Brenda tie with a big loop......no issues anymore......OF I just watched that video.....I should be getting paid by Brenda, not paying her.......OF
  19. Here is a video I just shot for you.....OF
