  1. @OB, how does one size fit all on the EZ Cam? Pylons are different sizes.
  2. I'm Garn Arnold from Alpine, Utah. I serve on the Utah Water Ski Club Board with @ScotChipman. I'm 53 years old and feel my best years are still ahead of me. Been skiing since I was little but have only been course skiing for about ... 7 - 8 years. For that long of time I should have a personal best better than what I have which is 3 @ 32 off/34 mph. I've only ran 28 off a handfull of times. And my gates ... well ... I consider going through the gates optional. Luckily for me my wife and kids love the water and love skiing the course as much .. .well ... almost as much as I do. I have six kids ranging from 31 down to 9. My two littlest girls (9 and 11) keep my young and happy. We are also avid hydrofoilers and take ours with us whenever we go to the lake. I can't bitch two much about the price of my S2 when I have spent almost four times that amount on my hydrofoil set up. Last June I completely ruptured my achilles tendon sliding out around 1 ball. So this summer is going to be the summer of Garn!
  3. If I could ski like anybody, it would be @chrisrossi. Even my wife has commented, when I show her videos, how fluid and natural Chris looks.
  4. HO S2. Love it so far. Only got three sets on it last Spring before I ruptured my Achilles. So I'm really looking forward to this Summer!
  5. @markchilcutt I found that pretty amazing as well. Makes me feel like I'm in good company.
  6. I just got my latest issue of Waterski. Really interesting article on Nate Smith. But when I read that Nate doesn't work out, doesn't really train, and does maybe one set a day, I felt like throwing in the towel! The winningest skier of 2012 doesn't exercise or even trains! He just goes out and does it on pure talent. My gosh! It makes me wonder what he could do if he did workout and train more. He could become the next Andy Mapple - the next legend. Garn
  7. Kevin, my 11 year old daughter will babysit for you but you have to pull me! :)
  8. I have an 07 Moomba LS with Stargazer and also run standard. I've never even messed with inverted. Works great. And EricW is right, PP has GREAT technical support. They have walked me through things a number of times. Garn
  9. My family and friends are huge hydrofoilers. We take one with us whenever we go to the lake. Water isn't always skiable. But it is almost always hydrofoilable. Garn
  10. Ball of Spray - the original wet dream!
  11. I think the Triumph would be a great ski for you. I skied on one in October and I was really impressed with its capabilities. I think it is an extremely capable ski with more potential then a lot of people realize. Garn

    Tige Switch I

Doesn't it have a little bit higher sidewalls? That would be good for someone who also takes their boat out to bigger lakes such as Lake Powell. Wouldn't it handle rought water better? Garn
  13. Does everybody in Arizona wear Eagle Vests?
  14. To me it looked like his bindings prereleased which caused the crash. Garn
  15. For the money ($299) and quality (3 year warrantee), I don't think you can beat Adrenaline Drysuits. http://www.adrenalinewatersports.com/ProdDetl.aspx?ID=297&CatID=8&SubID=17 Garn
  16. @Chuck Dickey I'm holding my boot and looking at the heel. There are two rectangularish holes in back. I'm not 100% sure where you say to measure from. Do you measure from the top of these holes? Middle? Bottom of the holes? @ShaneH, I don't know if I would dare to cut the end of my rear boot off. I paid a lot of money for these things! Garn
  17. Does anyone know, particularly those that use EXOs, from where on the front heal do you measure from? Do you measure from the bottom of the boot where it contacts the metal rail? Or do yo measure it a little higher up on the heal where it is further back? It's a good half inch difference. Thanks, Garn
  18. @Horton But when you do it with the tips, do you do it like Scot Chipman said where "letting the tips of the caliper sit down inside the fin slot and up against the far side. " Or are the tips laid across the the bottom of the ski? I want to try to get my S2 set up exactly like yours was. Garn

    New Outback tower

You don't have to get it with their new tower. You can order it with their "regular" tower that sweeps backwards which does not interfere with the rope at short line lengths. Garn
  20. @Horton, when you measured your length on the S2, how did you do yours? Did you do it the way Scot was talking about in his thread?
  21. Why do you need to take the fin off? It looks like there would be plenty of room for the ski with the fin on. Garn
  22. What Hprton said about light being a byproduct of superior materials is what I was trying to say.
  23. I just purchased from Brenda (InTow) the non-stretch spectra sections she sells to replace the 15, 22, and 28 off sections of the rope. I'll just replace those three sections of my rope with the spectra sections. The effect is the same as the 50/50 rope but WAY cheaper. I haven't used it yet though. Intow is www.jlbmfg.com. Garn
