Thanks. I was just curious. There is always room for improvement. I would take Hortons boat away and give it to a college team. I would like for Horton to have to ski behind a wake surf boat or even worse, with Greg Badal.

@skimtb What would you change on a prostar? I ski behind a different new prostar every couple weeks and they are excellent in my opinion. Sorry for the thread jack. Jays boat is beautiful but Nautiques are the least desirable boat in our region at tournaments. The only things I can think of to change are the gas gauge issue and they are loud, even at idle.

I would join especially if it was AWSA separated from USAWSandWB like it used to be. It would be even better if Jeff still ran it without all the constraints and other disciplines. We need to leave the Olympic organization. I support AWSA but not the rest of it. It is too splintered and. i suspect we are subsidizing the other disciplines.

I respect everyone elses opinions. The problem with this is we keep talking about growing the sport and making it more fun yet HQ keeps adding more bureaucracy, cost and hoops to jump through to participate. Make up your mind, grow the sport (less bs and more fun) or kill it by adding this kind of crap. Was there actually a problem? Are kids travelling with coaches and staying in hotels with them like gymnastics? Most tournaments are very well supervised and in public places with adults everywhere.

Please tell me this is an april fools joke. The sport is amost dead. Add another nail. Whats next dna swabs and fingerprinting? Has everyone been professionally trained to fuel boats? How about hazmat certification? Gasoline is a hazmat...

@lpskier that is funny. A friend of mine who I won't name came out to ski with us when Stillwater was still open. Dr. Fritz Harsch"s chiropractor had recommended he switch feet skiing. We laughed at him until he got up, made his opener and five additional passes. I don't think many of us could make a deep water start.

I skied the last four days in Tampa on a borrowed D3 Arc. I got to ski with ex Spanish cable ski champion Carlos Fidalgo and the Clemson Water Ski Team.

You could ski a couple sets at liquid zone and do some awesome hiking the same day.

I am going to ski on the opposite side of the country. I will train in New York to improve my offside turn. I believe it will help tremendously being further away from Horton and his nonsense.

I saw Chet Raley ski on a super soft ski many years ago. I think it was a Monte Carlo but I may be wrong.

@Bill22 There is no substitute for good body position, technique and experience BUT I have had a ski be a game changer for me a few times. Ex. (Sorry Horton) borrowed HO A2, Chad Scotts 9900 Midride (purchased from Goode not stolen) and Mapple T2. All of these skis improved stability and gave me better angle and consistency.

I talked to several local skiers about Horton moving here. They all agreed that Sacramento is a bad choice. He should remain at least 200 miles away. Louisiana, Texas and Florida are very nice.
