  1. As a skier, consumer, competitor, and father of a young girl here is my 2cents. The picture shows numerous things, first a competitive skier heavily involved in the sport wearing what she would if she was skiing. This isnt some model wearing a swimsuit that she would never wear in public. She is wearing a sponsors product, no different than oakleys or something like that. It shows the fun side of the sport, and also the how good of shape you need to be in to compete. Why should she or a male counterpart if applicable cover up. This is a sport where the athletes wear bathing suits. I think its very appropriate for our sport, but there is a fine line between tasteful advertising of product and blatant attempt to sell something purely on sex. You cant sell a ski for example and show nothing but pics of girls in bikinis, there has to be a balance of ski related photos as well. Keep it up Horton.
  2. no, i havent, the weather didnt cooperate
  3. ok, I figured out the surging problem, the cable wasnt rigged properly. Now I have to figure out how to get the PP to engange and lock in, Im assuming this is a set up issue. Ed I beleive has posted his how to along with some numbers, I havent been able to find that post, can anyone send me the link to it. By the way this is a 01 Response LX with Monsoon 325 hp.
  4. So I finished installing my SG with Zbox. boat starts and idles great. When I go to put it in gear, the engine revs up to just over 1000 rpm befrore it goes into gear. In reverse its fine. Once its in gear it runs great. Im assuming I did something wrong on the install but dont know what. All the tests on the web site are good. If I unwind the string before I start the boat and leave some slack, the boat goes in gear fine, but then theres a huge lag in the throttle. Separately, when driving I cant get the system to engage and lock in. About 3/4 miles down the lake, it finally settles into to a speed, but if you move the throttle, theboat speeds up. So far I feel like I just wasted a lot of money. Any help would be great.
  5. you might be able to bend it back, or you can try elberts marine, they supply props, shafts struts and skegs to all different kinds of boats. They might be a little more pricey, but you'll get the right part. I bought a shaft strut from them before.
  6. here in canada, we are still hovering around the freezing mark, day time highs are our normal night time lows. Its supposed to snow tonight, lake has 3 feet of ice still, last year i had already skied by this point
  7. i have a 2001 malibu, just wondering which guage everybody replaced, the tach or the speedo. i'm thinkng about getting rid of the tach.
  8. snow storm on the way with -22c right now.....arrgghhhhhh
  9. There are several skiiers that are absent, just thought that since she is from Australia that she would want to compete there. I know she is doing really well in cross fit, just hope she continues with skiing, it would benefit her so much to ski when in that kind of shape.
  10. Is Karina not at Moomba, and why not??
  11. your best bet is to call seth and discuss your skiing style and needs and he will make sure that you get on a ski that suits you, regardless of what brand it is
  12. I had one for just over 10 years. The boat was very comfy, extremly reliable. The engine was a US Marine Ford 351. Carb. I never had any problems finding parts...tx to discount inboard marine. The wake had the usual bump at 22 off, spray became an issue in a headwind at 35 off. At 32off and beyond there was no wake to speak of. I skied behind several 1990 MC's and felt that the Challenger had a much nicer wake. It did lack the quality of the more expensive boats, but again I sold it last year with the original interior in it and was only a little faded. It also was bad in rough water
  13. sorry about that jody, I worded that poorly, I need the whole system. 3 event stargazer with the zbox. Do I send you the info Jody?
  14. then count me in for the 3 event zbox upgrade, just let m know what we need to do from here
  15. I am interested in the 3 event zbox. My only question is, I live in canada, could I pay into this group buy, but have it shipped to me directly from perfect pass. This would save me the brokerage fees, duty, and taxes when it crosses the border. i had a buddy that did this when he bought his from skiers pier. Otherwise it woldnt save me any money to do it this way.....tx
  16. If you want know for sure what year it is, check the vin, the last 2 numbers will tell you what year it is.... Windscreens can be changed

  20. That 2000 hrs was more if the older carb boats, the newer fuel injection engines should go closer to 4000

    new prop

I had the 13 x 13 cvp stainless, I was told it was going to cost me over $200 to get it reworked, not a lot of shops want to play with stainless anymore. They all said there to labor intensive. Everywhere I read recommended the 515. My buddies 2008 response has one and it is so smooth
