  1. But definitely demo 1. There are quite a few people struggling with it as well, myself included.
  2. I'm still struggling with mine. When I ski well it's good and when not... My opening pass is 55 at 15 off then 58 at 15 off that is normally my 1st 2 passes and I should run them 1 after the other easily. Then I shorten and get stuck immediately when I get to 28 off. On the A2 I have only got to 28 off a couple of times but the strange thing is that 1 day I ski well and then for example last Friday I missed my opening pass 3 times in a row!! If I am slightly on the back foot coming out of the turn it's all over! I know a guy on it who runs into 38 off and he loves it. I know a few skiers around my level with it who are all struggling. I'm on a 66.5 and quite often feel like I'm about to come OTF and have had 2 impressive crashes. Gonna try some different numbers this weekend (currently running ho's stock) but if things don't go better soon I think I'll be going back to my sixam.
  3. Yeah I was thinking of mounting it on the tip but I suppose it'll mount more solid in front of the boot and + I can attach the leash to the boot.
  4. Excellent tip thanks, i didn't know that existed!
  5. And does it definitely not come off? I just figure an out the front or collision with the buoy could be bye bye gopro. Just picked one up today and can't wait to try it out tomorrow.
  6. But how do we know which one to use. For example I took the numbers from the HO website for my A2 and then used my slot callipers but how do I know if I have I set up right?
  7. Personally I've tried a couple of water ski forums and find this one by far best in terms of usability, content and friendliness. A lot of Internet forums get very abusive and I find myself thinking it's just filled with teenagers with nothing better to do but abuse people they don't know saying things they would never say in real life. When I found ball of spray I was happy to have finally found a decent water ski forum
  8. I bought an A2 recently and like you I've never touched my fin before. I wasn't skiing so great so I changed the fin according to the recommended setting and it has made a huge difference. I would get the binding and fin set to recommended positions and see how that goes. Afterwards it would be a case of more subtile changes to suit your style I guess. Changing the settings is actually very easy. My 1st go I took around 40mins but now it's around 15. Look on Goode or D3 website for instructions and a good tip I got on here was to start with dft. The slower and more carefully you do it, in end, the quicker it gets finished.
  9. John are you on a 66 or 67 and what are your numbers?
  10. The triumph is much wider but you would probably still want the larger size
  11. Had 3 sets today after adjusting fin to ho's recommendation 6.845, 2.505, 0.780. Out the box the ski was at 6.820, 2.505, 0.785 and I was having to work very hard. With ho's numbers I am getting nice and wide and the ski feels much better in the turns. My coach said I was skiing much smoother today. I will try 6.840, 2.508, 0.775 tomorrow to compare
  12. What are you skiing on at the moment?
  13. What's your height and what speed are you skiing at?
  14. I had a 67.5 sixam ss and found it incredibly stable even at 49 kph. Having said that I would strongly recommend trying before buying if you can
  15. All items are in UK so shipping to anywhere in europe the price will be around £30 but I will get an exact price before sending. Shipping to US will be around $100. 16. Thanks ed thats a good tip! I had a go tonight with my A2 and actually 2nd time round it was much easier. I used your dft first tip and just went very solwly but it was done in 15 mins and when I re-measured after all the screws were tightly in place I was still bang on!
  17. Thanks, ive sent an email for some info on the arm-guard but would certainly be interested in what masterline is offering!
  18. Anyone know if there is a website? I'm going to order my rope and handle from In Tow here: http://www.jlbmfg.com and would like an arm guard fitted also
  19. Yeah I got slot calipers thankfully, and the ones that are ground back level from tips to jaws. I was thinking it must be a nightmare without those. Thanks for the tip ed I will try changing dft 1st
  20. Does anyone have any videos of adjusting fin settings? I just did some practicing on an old system 8 before touching my A2. I got there in the end but I spent one of the most frustrating 40 minutes ever! Am I just retarded?
  21. Did anyone notice if Will was on the A2 or still on A1 at masters?
  22. I'm on the 66 and boot position feels good but I'll give your numbers a try. Thanks
  23. Did you change straight to those numbers or progressively?
  24. Me too I feel like I'm skiing narrow compared to A1. I feel if I ski well the ski rewards, badly and it's game over. 1st set yesterday i went out a 15 off 55 kph and ran it real smooth, straight up to 58 and again real smooth, i actualy thought the boat driver had stayed at 55 it felt so easy. Then 22 off and i started skiing badly, just kind of lost rythm. 2nd set was better but i didnt run 22 off. 3rd set i was tired and so i stayed at 55kph but i took 2 serious out the fronts coming out of my offside turn straight into the wakes. No real damage except my ego!
