  1. Also, a comment or observation about the engine choice would be nice. Given the weight of the boat, I am guessing it would be a screamer with just the 343 and that the 409 would be overkill.
  2. I am curious as to how the non-carpet looks, feels and functions. Its hard to tell from just pictures. Any opinions or comments on this would be great.
  3. Thanks for all the feedback, I appreciate it everyone. Jack
  4. Jody, do you think this project would be feasible and make any sense? I'd would sure consider going through your shop to do it.
  5. I heard the same thing on the Carbon Pro at the Seattle show. The rep said if I wanted to get on a list they would sell me one on a basic trailer with zero off for sub $40k, but he thought the price was going to go up once they get a few more out there.
  6. I can get it done with a shortblock for around $3-4k. I was also toying with the idea of dropping in one of these. http://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=1630
  7. Has anyone skiied behind one of these? Would it hold its line on the course? I was thinking about this on as as a project boat. http://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/boa/2172456205.html
  8. I have very fond memories of my Concept. It took me from barely running 34 mph to running 32off@36mph in college. I thought it was very stable and predictable and a great intermediate ski. I am not sure how much they have changed since the early-mid 90s but I doubt they changed it very much. If I ever find the crack head who stole it out of my garage with the rest of my equipment it won't be pretty.
  9. I am heading to the Seattle Boat Show today, I sure hope they have one to gawk at.
  10. Thanks baja. I carry most of my weight in my back and bottom, I wish more of it was in my chest. :) I'll check out the Boost.
  11. Greetings everyone, I am really enjoying this forum. I am heading the to boat show here in a few days and I'd like to pick up a drysuit if i can find one. Any "stocky" guys out there with an opinion on a good one for skiing? I am 5'10" and currently weigh 242. I dabble in masters powerlifting and went a little nuts with my diet and ate my way up a few classes for a recent competition, so i am carrying some extra fat right now. I have my diet under control and I'm on my way back down, but I'll probably end up skiing around 210 at my leanest. My bet is its going to be hard to find a drysuit that fits my frame properly. Any suggestions from stocky guys or people who know stocky guys would be appreciated on a brand or style that would fit best? Thanks, Jack
