  1. Had no idea you could get one in 2008. Looks like a great buy for a ZO boat. http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Comp_Boat&postid=39416
  2. For the 38 off spin to win , Lake with no islands !
  3. Can't help on ski choice either. But laughed out loud at you comment about being sore ! I've been skiing a long time and still experience that soreness every spring !
  4. Got to thinking about this . For example it would not make sense for me. I have 1999 not a whole lot of difference between the two for slalom. I also have 1800 hours but no Zero Off. I could get close to 10k for my boat and come up with another 15k to buy that one. In my case I would be better off repowering my boat with ZO. I'd spend less and have a 0 hour boat.
  5. I recall a while back , folks were installing. " gorilla fins " on Malibu wakeboats. Supposedly improved tracking. Don't know much about it other than that.
  6. Only used mine on a previous boat to actually shower with warm water when camping.
  7. Maybe consider bow lake in Washington. I don't know anything other than what's on the website. Seems pretty good. Gets you on the west coast at least ! Short flight or long drive to California.
  8. It sounds like he's looking more for a place with accommodations and a week of skiing. Not a one day lesson. Don't know if sunsets short schedule is back to back but you could book two stays.
  9. Decided to go with the rotella. Changing oil tonight while enjoying the great view of the backyard. Here's to some great fall weather !
  10. I was amazed at the warmth of my Camaro. Used it year round last year. Granted im in California. Don't think water temp dipped too much lower than 50. Won't go back to a dry suit while these are still around.
  11. Isn't it for diesel trucks ?
  12. I know it recommends 40wt. But could not find it. Can I safely use this ? Pros cons ? Also was given a Wix filter as the cross reference for motorcraft . Good ? I'm at higher hours close to 1800. Warm weather for awhile longer.
  13. plug and play gas tank would cool. Tired of filling and transferring 5 gal cans all the time. Not to mention those " non spill " tanks that don't work.
  14. An inspection can be a real pia for a seller . So you can't always get mad at them for not wanting or being able to do it. Your choice to walk or not. But don't be an ass about it. For example I agreed to have mine inspected. The dealer is 45 minutes away. So it took about half a day just for the drop off. And another half day to go pick it up. Also since my boat is still being used , I lost a week of use. Not everyone can afford to replace their boat without selling first. Not everyone can take time off of work. Then the seller risks all that time and buyer doesn't follow thru. If your gonna make the seller have the inspection , you better be ready to write a check when the boat comes back good to go.
  15. What ever happened to that Nautique ? Last I heard it was still charging for the next set. Must be charged by now ! Epic Boats played around with an Electric and a hybrid boat. Don't think anything came of it either . They seem to have shifted focus out of wakeboard boats into bay boats.
  16. Sounds like I could part out my boat and trailer for more than selling it whole !
  17. If you can't find a solution and cannot stand the wake any longer. I'd be willing to straight trade you for my 1999.
  18. At this price one would think more people would jump on a Gekko. I guess most rather buy a 6-7 year old Nautique instead. I know this boat is not approved so can't pull events. Too bad they charge so much keeping small companies out
  19. Manufactures should drastically lower the price of ski boats and spread the loss over the wakeboard / surf boat line ! Make those guys pay for our fun Lol
  20. May not be a bad idea to increase tournament participation. To toss $80 at usaws to ski 1 tournament seems silly.
  21. @jah81592 Not sure exactly on dates. But I believe they stopped building new boats 5-6 years ago or so. They sold parts out of the shop for awhile and stopped that a year o so ago. The shop has now been sold.
  22. Don't bother calling Calabria. Long gone
  23. Couple questions. Just replaced the steering cable today. Boy was that fun. Actually not to bad other than getting old one snagged which delayed my time. Although the steering is better not quite as smooth as I would like. First question. Where can a get a remote grease port replacement line. Mine split at the port end . I cut the split part off but it has an insert I could not remove and slide back into the good part of the line. Second , if I need to drop the rudder and re pack. Can this be done without removing the gas tank. It looks possible but really tight on room. Third , is there anything at the helm to address ? Anything to grease , adjust ?
