Got my new Reflex and Wiley bindings on..... took off from the dock not sure what to expect from the new setup. Blew the course, I may have gotten around 2 ball but can't really remember. As I leave the end of the course and begin to drop I suddenly notice a cold sensation coming down my back.............oh no! I forgot to zip up my dry suit in all my excitement to try the new boots!
Wow was that cold and funny at the same time.
I'm 214 right now and will be down at 205. I have used two seperate settings on this ski and both times I have come within one ball of my PB. That to me is amazing concidering how early in the season it is. I have either started skiing much better or this ski has some serious potential when I get it dialed in.
@JDarwin, I'm going with your numbers on my 68". I was at .769 DFT and 2.525, 6.915 and the ski wanted to snap turn at 1,3,5, I'm right foot forward.
I left it at:6.910, 2.509, .750 with 8' for 36 mph.
Okay, two more sets down and I must have changed my skiing some how. I skied very well today on the quest. Kept the fin at stock 68" X7 settings. I don't like to move my fin too much without giving it several sets between tweaks. I'll try to move the fin forward and a little less depth tomorrow just to see how the ski responds. Overall I am very impressed.
This is an animal if you let it be and I think its every bit as fast or faster than the Fusion. I only have one set on it but it likes to create angle right at the ball.
I hated to go to a different ski because I love my Fusion so much but I've handle dinged it twice. I need to get a new ski and hope this Quest is as good or better than the Fusion.
I don't like it it all. I end up way too fast into 1 and it seems like 2 and 3 are also fast. Or maybe it takes me to get to 3 ball before I get my normal rythem back again.
