  1. Picko's Ski School SRB/ Destin. Nov in the Pan handle is very nice, water in the 70's air in the low 80's and Destin is Cool! info@corypickos.com
  2. 4160 Holley. $475.00 From Florida Inboards PCM Dealer. $499.00 from DIM same Carb specificaly formatted for ski boat , includes gaskets. , has blue cam and correct powervalve so secondary's will not come into play at 36 mph slalom. Old AFB will sell on evil-pay for $75-$150 or more! Where did you get the $650???
  3. Wow? Undoubtedly one of the best slalom boats ever made and you are having issues? Would love to have one of these with a current 6 liter. These were great three event boats and had the smallest bump at 22 off. Kristi's world record still stands (just recently matched) behind the 96-01 hull. What prop are you running on the boat?
  4. Get rid of the AFB and replace with a Holley you will be happier for the replacement. The marine AFB and their clones are always in need of adjustment and the fiddle factor never seems to go away. If you want to adjust it and walk away then Holley! Want to play with it and like the challange well so be it stick with the AFB. The AFB does work well on what they were designed for, Big cubic inch Mopar!!!
  5. Yea! Lets add another $3-5k to the price of doing a already over gadgeted, over ruled, over blown and over priced sport just for a couple of discontented skiers . Wait! Are we not going down this road already?? Zero OFF!!!
  6. Hi, After years of doing Speed control / performance work with Correct Craft We found that Being on shore with the radar gun and gathering data was very inaccurate, spray from skiers and the boat creates scatter and a inaccurate signal . The gun needs to be in the boat with a solid object to shoot at, a truck or building at the end of the lake works best. I built a windshield bracket for the towboat committee to mount their stalker system to windsheld extrusions of test boats. TW thanks for the jewelry!!!
  7. Test : Ass end of the new Centurian. Hopefull this came thru ok
  8. "thats the prop on the Nauti 200 in the promotional tent; 654 Acme not the 422. Yellow and grey boat" Â Hey that's my new boat! of course it is going to have a 654 it is a six liter! I have not even seen it yet and Scoke sends out some photo of the prop!!! Teaser!!!
  9. Â I came down to the dock one time at Cory's with a trick ski equipped with a Obrien Bio and a slalom rope They laughed at me!! I was so ashamed that I went and bought a Wiley and reclaimed my sons old trick rope.,,, Really!! The Wiley is your best option for a trick ski provided you do not want to invest in a hard boot.
  10. "I have 6 liter 200 SN that came standard with a 654 12.5X15 ACME. For general slalom skiing and tricks outside of tournaments I have been running two props that substancially bring RPMs down at slalom speeds. One is a 13X15.5 OJ the other is a 422 ACME 12.5X15.5 (this is what came stock on 5.7 196 and 206 Nautiques). These props I would not try and pull 35mph jumping with , it would work but!!!. The OJ runs 3620 @ 34mph with three people in the boat and a 170 pound skier running 28-35 off." Joe Above are the similar numbers that I was told the 5.7 will run with a 654 prop. "Around" 3620 at 34 and 3820 at 36 with skiers on and a full crew load. Again not having direct experiance I can only go with what I am told by the owner
  11. Yes another option is available for jump and that is a 13X14 Thre blade ACME I think the part number is 1458 (could be wrong!!) I have heard a lot of slalom skiers say it feels ok but the R's are even higher with this prop then the stock prop provided. Again this prop is only being used for open men 35 mph jumping. The New boat will come with a 654, We will not know about any prop changes until we get closer to Towboat tests. For the most part the 200 will go into the next test as unchaged however if their is a prop designation change then the boat may have to be tested with the changed prop configuration. Talking to the guy that owns a 5.7 200 CB he runs a the ACME 654 and is getting nearly the same results as I am with the 422 on my 6 liter. Joe are you getting a 5.7 or 6?
  12. Roger where are you getting the 70K from?? I know of a 50 hour CB 5.7 Promo for 47K! Not much less than he paid for it. http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?topic=Search&postid=12766 I just love these wild statements. Also their is a clock in the ZO unit. Every boat with ZO has a clock FREE!!
  13. Brent, I have 6 liter 200 SN that came standard with a 654 12.5X15 ACME. The OJ runs 3620 @ 34mph with three people in the boat and a 170 pound skier running 28-35 off. The 422 Acme slightly higher, This prop I have run over 49mph with. I do not have any experiance with the 5.7 200 SN but do know some one that has played around with a few different wheel setups and he does not run the standard prop on his boat.  I have found that at about 50 hours the boat really freed up and picked up about a mile per hour on top end. My last oil change I used Royal Purple and found a little more HP. I now have 130 hours on the boat. As for refinments in 2011. All boat companys strive for better build procedures and better fit and finnish the second year of production. What I know was on the hit list is ski locker hindges, more user friendly motor box , different propping. The one I bang on them about is offering a teak platform!!! PLEASE!!!!! Art is bringing My Closed bow from Nationals next week as it was a display boat looking forward to tweaking and tuning!!!
  14. Horton you did good!! and Thanks to Chipman for the direct link to the scores!
  15. Heck Thats nothing!!! 4 out the five men 5 jumpers from the southern region! Oh yea!!! Also 4 of the five men 4 jumpers from the southern region. Oh yea!!!
  16. Richard- Please dont take this wrong way but You need to read my post! I have had 4 ZERO off equipped boats since 07.  I ski regulary at least 5-7 sets a week with ZO. when I move over to PP I pick up a pass and a half running the exzact same times. Their are a number of us that just do not fit in the box that Andy and Zero Off have made for slalom skiing , My son who is a great 36mph skier loves it and has not skied better in years. For me It just is not fun getting four at 28 off (Or worse getting launched out the front) one day with ZO and four at 35 the next with PP. I would say suffering thru the learning curve is over at age 53. Maybe this year the AWSA will get the message that their will be more that quit because of ZO. The software is out their for a 4th option (RPM Overlay)! The pig headed elite thinking  Monoplistic industry and AWSA just wont supply it! Keep in mind I have also sat on the AWSA Towboat committee as a industry rep for the last 10 years and it still blows me away that the committee relenquished ALL control for speed control over to the towboat manufacturers! That's your organization working for You...
  17. I complain about ZO and have owned Four ZO equipped boats since 07. Have not skied a tournament since May of 08 and have never skied a tournament  round behind ZO I am right at 200#. My daughter also has a dislike for ZO she is a w1 120#. I have talked in depth with Randy AT PP and they are willing to sell or provide their software for the ZO controller. To me ZO is missing out as are the boat manufacturers to not be persuing and providing this software to their unhappy customers. I guess the wheel is not squeeking loud enough yet. As for the ability to install PP on a 09,, Some early vesions of the PCM E-control ECM had the ability to communicate via the V-guv line with PP however their is not an easy way to find out if the ECM is compatiable without sending it to PCM. All 2010 PCM motors now are not at all able to utilize Perfect Pass as the wiring will not now accomadate it.Â
  18. Those of you headding out to the nationals have a great time and ski well. Above all be safe! Jody
  19. We have had some discussion here in the Southern Region and have had a couple of T&B tournaments. I think that the format is great for the sport and can only see plusses. We have even allowed a few skiers to T&B at Cory's because they for some reason or another could not wait around for their second or third round. As for the record Issue with T&B I do not see a problem provided that the skier goes and starts from at least two line lengths longer then the record. But going right back out on a line length that he or she just missed a record on Will not fly. Any way I am supporting it at a State and regional level here in Florida as are many others that have been educated after all is it not time for the sport to evolve?
  20. Thats what happens when you spend way to much time in the desert sun!! I do wonder what is going thru Daves mind. Great picture.
  21. I remember Standing on the dock at the 1995 Regionals at Sunset lakes (Jacks) with 110 men 3 slalom skiers. This year I think their were 17. Â Ski Paradise in Mulberry is going to put in a bid for regionals and at this point I believe they are the only site intersted. We are considering holding the FL State tournament in SRB (Cory's).
  22. Mens division 36 MPH any age !!! Good idea but trying to impliment it is another problem. As for anyone running 38 should be in MM, No not my thinking but would like to see the cut off over three at 39. Their is another thred that is going is skiing dying? well one of the issues in the big picture is truly ability fairness! I have a wrestling mentality and do not belive that everyone should get a medal for participation but one of the aspects of our sport having difficulty's is the number of great skiers sking in age divisions where they dominate rather then skiing in a MM/open division, this tends to run off good skiers as they feel they do not have a chance against these elite level skiers skiiing in age division. after all I think we are all after the same thing in this sport and that is skiing to the best we can and enjoying what we do but it gets old when a skier runs a few at 35 and has to ski against a skier for a state or regional or even national champiponship that has the ability to win a elite world level event either as a pro or amature. Me personally have not skied in a tournament in 2 years, mostly because ZO has kick my ass (another problem in the big picture). I have now just begun being able to run some decent slalom with the zo and for me and now go into the men 5 division and will start skiing a few tournaments again. This division does not get any easier but attrition brings the playing field a little closer and their are not so many elite level skiers in it.
  23. Gentlemen, As per our rules any men 3,4,5,6 can opt to ski at 36 mph if they choose to do so. I would rather see a sandbagger rule and get a lot of these guy's that run deep 39 and better out of the age group classes and into the MM class. maybe we could start a sanbagger thred!!! LOL!!! As for boy's 3 that will never happen because it is a international jr class the rest of the world runs 58K.
